My review:-
Firstly a claps for you yajnab..
Kernel is fully loaded with features ..no bugs at all...BEST battery backup kernel ever on gb..i used ur kernel in hyperdroid v1..jana v6.7..stock rooted and its still counting..ur kernel has best performance tweaks...i used it on my custom rom then it gave me about 18hrs of battery backup and speedy tranfers & i was totally gone mad.. keep the good work goin for gfit bro..
I suggest evryone shud use kernel once and i definately can say u will fall in love with it..
keep updating bro..
Is the kernel overclockable? If yes den how much?
ntfs supports is easy. I started it sometimes ago.
-Config kernel support ntfs read and write
-an initd script to mount ntfs on boot
-ntfs-3g binary
-Better should repartition sdcard, atleast have 1 FAT partition or android will mess up
All can find in SGS2 forum
No overclocking ... I hate this overclocking stuff..
But apparently the people who might want to try your kernel like overclocking their device.. Anyways no problems :thumbup:

No, it is replaced.
but you cannot see it in normal settings..
Happens in honeycream too..

Steps for Different Features
Steps for Multi boot:
1) Flash Kernel v1.7+
2) Go to CWM Recovery -> Multiboot -> Backup ROM.
3) Backup your Current ROM to ROM1 (It will backup the system.img at /sdcard/Android/data/g3mod/romname_ROM )
4) Add the system.img of your 2nd ROM to /sdcard/Android/data/g3mod/romname_ROM and similarly for different ROM's.
5) Use the CWM Recovery -> Multiboot -> Switch ROM option to switch between different ROM's.
Note: Ask the developer of the ROM's to provide you with the system.img for their ROM
System Img's:
G3MOD ROM
Grigora ROM
Kyrillos' ROM
Stylooo AOSP Style
DutchMods ROM
XXJPS Stock Deodexed Rooted System.img.rar
Steps for Changing the Max Freq(Dynamic OC):
There is an entry in /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/plls_table where you can put your own value for APLL.
Before doing this, set "PERFORMANCE" governor on and min and max frequencies to the maximum.
Code:
// Do this in adb
echo "0 a[SIZE="5"][B][U]258[/U][/B][/SIZE]0[SIZE="5"][B][U]3[/U][/B][/SIZE]01 a14d0303 c07e13fc cf850240" > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/plls_table
You need to replace the 258(Hex Value) with your desired value.
Here 258 means
(2*16*16) + (5*16) + 8 = 600
and 3 means it is 600*2 = 1200
Therefore, a2580301 means 1200MHz.
This is a temporary method. For a permanent Method, add this line to a init.d script. Name the script to something like S10_Dyanmic_OC.
Help Others: If you calculate a Hex Value for a particular frequencies add it here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dG5hdnpsWFdTNExiY2t3dy16VzBvaWc6MQ
You can view all the frequency Hex value's calculated by others over here:

Note:
I am learning how to develop kernels.
I'll add different features as and when i can implement them.
The main goal of this kernel will be to keep the phone stable and fast.
There will be nothing as alpha or beta releases.
I'll give out the kernels directly, but if anything goes wrong and you have to reflash the ROM or kernel, please dont start shouting.
You may give me different ideas on what features to implement. I'll try my best to implement all the features you want
Many of the features implemented in this kernel, are taken from marcellusbe's Fugumod Kernel, and I shall be ever thankful to marcellusbe for the fugumod kernel
Warning:
I am not responsible for any damage caused to your phone (softbrick or hardbrick)

I can do that but the problem is that kernel compiling is easy but modding is difficult.
Even if i post it, there will be a lot of users who dont know stuff, and start complaining about why this is not happening and stuff...
So i would prefer to help but personally not directly on the forums..
So anyone who would like to learn, PM me and i'll guide you as i can

No. kernels have nothing to do with baseband. I flashed on v20g and its improved performance and another guy flashed on void forever and it improved performance.
Hello Guys....
Starting Off.... Proudly presenting to u my kernel
Features :
Code:
Enabled Zcache
CIFS and TUN Support .
Only 4 Governors ( Interactive, Performance, Ondemand , Smartass2 ) Removed all other governors ,

Stripped modules from ramdisk ,
Compiled with arm2011.09 ,
2 Way Call Recording Patch ,
Non CF Root but wifi boot animation super user busybox init.d works ,
Over clocked up to 806Mhz and export scaling frequencies ,Undervolt
Over clocking frequency is upto 787... By default the Max Frequency is 600Mhz and Min Frequency is 245Mhz ...
After Intensive testing undervolt has be implemented
Experiencing a stable system from the time of flashing even at 787Mhz
Flash on GB Rom's Formatted to EXT4 Partition only

Studied & Picked up few sources from git's ... And just figured it out that every clock speed has been assigned a specific voltage so out of trial and error method i found tat the more i undervolt the system seems to lag .... So when i got a stable system i compiled the build.... U can also say that the undervolt is still in beta stage cause u never know if the scaling set is correct till u experience bugs but...so far so good i've been gettin a stable result :fingers-crossed:
But I read that scaling differs from device to device?
Just like oc, some devices can handle more, some less...
System lag is bad news though...
Will make uv pointless, and also the time I would have spent improving the way...
What about uv+oc?
"By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you, Man and Knife"
yup scalin of frequencies differ from device to device nd that is y i've used sources from tj_style's git .... i would still hav to concentrate on OC + UV together cause it needs lots of testin .....

Yes,pls make a good kernel for cm. Because cm roms make my phone heat up very soon as compared to gb roms.
It would had been Yajnavalkya aka yajnab.
The thing i was actually telling u is that i didn't like ur kernel as bcoz ur kernel is superb with the stripping and making me to return to kernel development. Giving me a headache u guyzzz

Hey all. I hate fancy OP's so this thread is rather simple. VK currently works on all stock based 4.2.2 ROM's.
Changelog is down somewhere. You can check it for comprehensive list of changes in each update.
Instructions:
Flash zip in recovery
Some words:
* Integrated cwm ramdisk
* Max clock speed upto 1.4 GHz (Default 1.2 GHz)
* More GPU scaling levels
- Added 128 MHz and 450 MHz (Stock is 400MHz)
* UV support through sys interface
* intelli_plug (set as default instead of mpdecison)
* Dynamic fsync
* CAF backport fixes
* Some tweaks here and there
* Stripped debugging
* init.d support
* no bull****
Don't bother asking for this as I will ignore you:
- GPU/CPU overclock
- sleep2wake
- Stupid governors/iosched
- pointless patches

@Rachit Rawat man can I just say what great work you are doing for this device and we(most people with the device) appreciate the effort though the number of people are less so might be a while before more spams occur for this thread
And I assume you have this device right?
@Rachit Rawat
Well, As far as I remember the stock kernel already had the below
*. Cleancache
*. SWAP support
*. SLUB Memory Allocator
*. ext2/3/4 support
Secondly, I don't really see the benefit of enabling ThumbEE since this execution mode is already deprecated by ARM in 2011 PLUS there is no dalvik port of ThumbEE yet
So there is nothing really using this execution environment and hence the driver is doing nothing other than increasing the kernel's memory footprint

chargemon method for locked bl's and for unlocked bl's we have ramdisk implementation :silly:
the firt thing i need to do anyway is setting up a device tree to build cwm for xperia l -.-'
Uhh good to see some guys out of my old dev range

Yep. But I suggest not to replace stock modules. Just add additional ones which you want to use.

I didn't know the job for each module, so I copy all from your module and paste in my system lib module but just skip for replacing..there's I think have six additional module from yours..

Yes! Everything is stable and tested for some day before to be released (it's the aim of Test Builds ) But I have to manipulate directly code in sources in order to apply UV 'cause our device platform doesn't have the voltage controller
If I made mistakes i'm sorry, but i haven't practised my English for 3 years (4 this year) I'm a little rusty

there you go
and i would like to report that with this kernel i m getting real slow int connection almost nothing by the way that your rom Aces_Droid_Plus is an art peace :good:
so... this works with any GB based ROM?
and are there any bugs?
P.S. well im testing it now with inspiration v17.1 and it works very well... but there is a big problem. Some apps that require SuperUser acces just don't work; for example "Seeder" app from that rom asks for permission but the app says the device could not be rooted properly. For the moment is the only app that has this problem with this kernel but there could be more

Well the problem is only with this app and i found somenthing in the "Seeder's" thread.
some people have the same problems using custom kernels and a guy says that the kernel developer has to make a frandom fix.
well i don't know what is that so i can fix it myself :laugh:
Does this kernel have any bugs?
