[Q] [HTC DESIRE] Lag with Miui v4 (vijendrahs) - General Questions and Answers

Hi,
I've just installed the new MIUI v4 from here on my HTC Desire. I noticed some lag when I use the phone. I really want to know if it's a android version's issue (Desire is ok with GB, I don't know with JB), a rom's issue (Miui v4 is not stable already?), o setting's issue (I'm using Mounts2SD to increase internal space).
Please help me to find the way to understand which the problem is.
Thank you,
Scido

I found the problem. the VJ MIUI Rom needs too much RAM (at least 350MB, on 404MB total). Previous MIUI ROM (with GB) takes only 250/300MB. So definitely it's a RAM's issue.
Thank you,
Scido

If you want really stable, fast and smooth ROM for HTC Desire, I recommend MildWild (I prefer CM7.2 taste ).

Which ROM ???

How do i choose a suited ROM for my desire S ?
There are so many.
It depends on the IMEI or something else ?
Also , whats a "prerooted" ROM ( different from "normal" ROM ? )
Grts
Answer to your last question: a pre-rooted ROM is a custom ROM which already provide root access. If you're unfamiliar to the term root, you should do a little more reading before flashing a custom rom to your device.
Just ensure that you've read through many of the threads available to anyone on this forum, and you'll have a smooth sailing through the seas of custom ROMs.
Your IMEI number doesn't matter.
Try Endymion, it's probably the best (personal opinion) Sense based ROM in the development section.
Loving my Desire S since rooting and flashing a custom ROM, like a new phone

Flinnys CM 11 alpha 3. Very fast and stable after my opinion. There are just some bugs with the camera(video) and bluetooth but check it out anyways.
Hello guys i didnt want to create a new thread.
My mother has a Desire S and is absolutely casual user, the only thing that is important is long battery life and that all features work (No ROMs with Camera bugs and so on pls)
She does not need Tablet Features and whatsoever.
Currently her phone runs MIUI 2.### which is a battery eater and quiet strange.
Do you have any ROM to suggest? Just a very stable, reliable Android with much battery life?
Thx for your help !

Hey guys!
Just got a second-hand Desire S.
I am looking for am advice about a custom ROM with Sense.
What is the highest version of Android with the highest version of Sense available? The best would be: Sense 5.5 with Kit-kat I think.
Any suggestions? Would like a "stable" version if possible.

[Q] Cyanogenmod VS. JaggyRom

Hi people,
What do you recommend for daily use, CM or JaggyRom?
I'm not looking to run games, just use social networks but I want fluency and performance. I have no problem with using Android 2.3.5 or 4.0 +
I've tried CM 10 (4.1.2) + v2 Kernel Pandora but I didn't like the result at all, constant lag and poor performance.. :/
So, the question is:
JaggyRom V5 + Cranium Kernel vs. CM 10 + Linux Kernel 3.0 ??

Thanks for yours opinions. :good:
We suggest to try, and choose, your taste is your taste, you like something, somebody else likes something else, I like something totally different, so make your choice on your needs.
That sayed I'm reporting this.

[Q] Are Cyanogenmod safe and fast?

i've a rooted samsung galaxy fit GT-S5670 device on which i recently flashed some custom stock rom like Jana. But it made my device slow so i moved on to other Stock rom.
I've heard a lot about Cyanogenmod based rom and wanted to flash one of them, but i read somewhere on xda that Cyanogem mode are not compatible with some SIM and eats a lot of RAM.
I'm confused now and want to know the fact about it. Please suggest me some good stable and fast CyanogenMod for my G-fit with the links.
Any other tip you may want to give me.
Thanks,
Official latest (simple & fast) Cyanogenmod7's can be downloaded from this link:
S5670 Cyanogenmod7 Official
Tip: U need to flash Google apps separately as these roms doesn't have g-apps.
Hope this helps...!!

Cm 7 is one of the fastest ROMs available for galaxy fit, cm 9 & 10 are battery draining and a bit slow, cm 11 (currently in alpha stage) is fast and I get very good battery backup with it :good: you can initially go for cm 7 since its bug free, has everything working and supports everything (i mean swap, sd-ext mount etc), creeds ROM 4 is also a decent rom, its fast and has inbuilt governer upto 806 Mhz but after installing loads of apps, it becomes a bit laggy...

want KITKAT experience thanks

Hi everyone,
I want to taste KITKAT but I don't know which to choose and which is more stable...
I found these roms
Omni rom - http://jenkins.androidarmv6.org/job/omni/1/
[DEV][ROM][4.4.2][CM11] KITKAT for LG-P500 [WIP][VER-7I - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2589303
[ROM] Optimus P500 Nexus Edition 1.0 [4.4.2] [29/01/2014] - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2629600
Which (including those roms I didn't find) is more stable? Please kindly give some suggests or experiences!
Also, are these roms kinda stable enough for daily use? (or with some acceptable bugs)
Please do give some advice so I can have a taste of KITKAT, with hopefully less pain.
P. S. In fact I really wish I could try all these roms but I don't have that time coz I hv exams (I am still a student~)
P. P. S. Thanks for your helps and big thanks to awesome devs here

Currently I'm using [DEV][ROM][4.4.2][CM11] KITKAT for LG-P500 [WIP][VER-8] from my experience it's stable enough than the other ROM.
I'm using the 8th release of the ROM and it's the most stable and most fluid UI interaction.

Mukulsoni's Kitkat is great. I am using it since 8th version. Now it is V10.2. Only suggestion is; uninstall stock Kitkat launcher. It is VERY slow. Jams a lot. I am using Holo Launcher instead. Way faster than Kitkat Launcher.
Currently i use the Mukulsoni's Kitkat V10.2. Very great ROMs
Thank's for suggestion to substitute the Litkat launcher... i'll try Holo Launcher.
