I have seen a similar request about the same before, I remember that the way to do it is to install superuser apk into your xoom to have root access.
or superSU.apk
Will check how and get back to you.
I don't think just installing a apk of
Superuser can get u root access

My bad. I meant superuser package flashable zip
1) get recovery and install it via adb.
2) thru recovery. Flash superuser from here. http://www.4shared.com/zip/g3yzbrIa/su-install.html?cau2=403tNull

How do I install a zip through adb?

I would rather install it through Recovery...
Recovery image through ADB.
Superuser ZIP through Recovery.
Or, use this step by step: it guides you thru the entire process.

Linux LordAIOTool do it great... It's an automatic root way

Hello,
Does anyone have a problem with cwm unrooting phone after reboot? The phone gives some options while I try to reboot to fix root but whether I pick yes or no it unroot the phone. Cwm was installed with rom manager app.

1) don't use rom manager
2) use other recovery that allows this to be disabled. Philz or TWRP

Use 2.8.1.0
Fastboot.
Fastboot with a PC, flashify directly on device, zip file in recovery, terminal emulator+IMG file...pick one.

You can also use the TWRP app from the Play Store, which is probably the easiest way.
So how can i flash my updated version? I downloaded the version on my phone its in my downloads. I boot into recovery go to flash and it does not recognize the img.
