I rooted my HTC Sensation XE and but OpenSensation 2 on there and I don't seem to have a camera app anymore... Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I'm aware that the phones have the same hardware, just want to know that if I buy a stock sensation, will I be able to use beats and stuff through a ROM, just losing the charming red capacitive keys ? Thanx a lot!
If you flash an XE-based ROM, yes
Have a look at Android Revolution HD 3.6.8
It converts your sensation into XE.
There are a lot of ROMs that based on XE with fully beats audio.

Just last night at geekaphone.com I was reading that the XE doesn't have assisted GPS, I wasn't awared that this was hardware, other than this even though battery is bigger and internal memory is a little more and beats, I don't see the point of getting it.

i had an HTC desire HD and i replace it with HTC sensation
everything looks alright and works fine but the quality of pictures in sensation are very bad comparing to the DHD
i change settings in camera panel but nothing help.
so can some one help me

my rom is the original from HTc i think 2.3.4
and the camera application is teh one comes with HTC
the phone comes with Vodafone LOGO when i switch it on
I had no problems with poor quality on my when it was stock. Try a rom with "amaze cam"

Recently ive been noticing that when i open the camera app i can barely see anything on the screen unless im pretty much pointing it at a light source! For instance in my lounge right now with the curtains open, its 3pm so still light and i can barely see the room on the screen. Its almost like the camera isnt opening the shutter enough to let enough light in.
Ive also got camera fx app installed and that has the exact same problem so im pretty sure its hardware related rather than software.
Has anyone else experienced this problem? Any solutions for it? Or is my camera duff and needs to be sent off for repair?

Sorry im on Virtuous Quattro Alpha2, but im pretty sure i had a similiar thing when i was on Inquisition as well.
Always do super wipe using mikes script. Im super cid, and on 1.23 HBOOT. radio, 11.65.3504.00P_11.19.3504.29_2. Included kernel with Quattro.
Ok I used the amaze on gb Roms.. you're using ics based roms.. maybe this may be the culprit? I could be wrong but I could be right.

Ok i just updated to Quattro alpha3 and its fixed! Guess it was software related after all!! Thanks for all the help though
Sorry to get anyone's hopes up with the title but I'm wondering if anyone has thought about or is in the process of porting the sense 4 camera to a sense 3.5/3.6 Rom or is it the same camera?
Why don't you flash a sense 4 rom to find out ?

I'm working on an oilrig for another week so I don't have a good enough internet connection to download and flash a Rom just to test the camera.
I've seen some photos on the internet of the HTC one X and the camera seems different but I can't be 100% sure.... So thought I'd ask here.
The one x has a dedicated chip for photos processing... Which is absent on the sensation

I think u jz got ordinary camera features .. jz my guess I didn't check when I was using it .. but the photo stitching mode works (I think its called paranormic mode)

thats all I would want in the port is ordinary camera features... because the camera capture speed is much faster than the sense 3.6 features
hold on let me test out the other features
Edit: Only features that work are HDR (Sun mode), Video Capture, Original Snapshot (and its really fast... almost back to back photos with auto focus working). If someone could simply modify the camera and remove some features it would be just fine... I'm sure its not impossible to get some of these other features working... only thing I can see not working is Photo Capture during video capture and some effects.
and what about sense 4 clock? i really love it and i would like to have it on sense 3.6
Hi everybody. I owned a HTC sensation some months ago. I mean that phone was great! Great size, performance, etc. The problem was The radio signal. I live in an area where the signal is not that good. I had a lot of problems.
My question is if the XE has the same problems. I really love the phone. If there weren't any problems with the radio... the problem I read are the contacts of the aerial which is part of the back cover of the phone in the original sensation. Does the XE have that problem too?

I have to say, YES.
The difference between sensation and the xe are : xe got beats audio, overclocked cpu to 1.5ghz, and larger battery 1730 mah. The others are just the same with the sensation, even the signal issue.
