HTC sensation xe radio sinal issues? - HTC Sensation

Hi everybody. I owned a HTC sensation some months ago. I mean that phone was great! Great size, performance, etc. The problem was The radio signal. I live in an area where the signal is not that good. I had a lot of problems.
My question is if the XE has the same problems. I really love the phone. If there weren't any problems with the radio... the problem I read are the contacts of the aerial which is part of the back cover of the phone in the original sensation. Does the XE have that problem too?
Thanks in advance!

I have to say, YES.
The difference between sensation and the xe are : xe got beats audio, overclocked cpu to 1.5ghz, and larger battery 1730 mah. The others are just the same with the sensation, even the signal issue.

Hardware sensation and sensation xe

Do you change HTC Sensation hardware with respect to HTC Sensation XE or two mobiles have the same hardware?
Sorry for my bad english
Same hardware, higher clock for the CPU (1.5ghz vs 1.2 on regular Sensation), 4GB internal memory (vs 1GB on regular Sensation), slightly bigger battery (1730mAh) and Beats mod on the music player...
thanks, the roms of the Sensation XE can apply to my Sensation?
Dunno, XE hasn't been released yet, just announced. We'll see
Edit :
Here's some development on the matter : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1261911&page=2
Both have 4GB internal storage, you just can use about 1.3GB.
Due to the fact I am happy with my Sensation and there are no real improvements (beside the cpu-clock), I wont change.
Maybe I will buy the XE cover (I like the design) or the bigger battery.
The beatsmod should be software, too - so we can wait for a custom rom.
According to official htc sensation xe page, hardware are exactly the same except for the bigger battery, red highlights back-cover and beats earphones. Oh, and faster rom.

Edit: I also see red capacitive buttons
Is this why HTC under-clocked the original Sensation, so they could release a 1.5 GHz version and say "look we made a new phone?"

I think it was because of the battery. Now when the new one has a bigger battery, they can use normal speed

Not sure if I buy that it was the battery.
1) HTC could have included a bigger battery with the original Sensation.
2) 1.5 GHz doesn't actually use that much more juice since the processor only runs at that speed under high load.

settings say 1.5GHz, but actual speed is still 1.2.
I would say both phones are the same ... but the XE-edition has a bigger battery-capacity + improved HTCMusik.apk ... oh and the phone color is red ...
You can compare it to samsung galaxy s gorgio armani .. it has just a special look
true...wish it was 1.5ghz!
get a red marker pen, buy the ear-in headphones, overclock your cpu and there you are.......sensation xe

HTC Sensation XE parts > Sensation?

Hi guys, i was reading up on the HTC sensation XE. I noticed that most of the changes don't seem to be within the device itself....
There is a 1730mAh battery, and a different/darker back case with red parts too it. Any chance that battery and case could be bought online and would fit the original sensation?
I'm pretty sure you could buy the battery and the case online after HTC Sensation XE launchers and it'll fit the original Sensation because they are the same thing except with some software changes.
follow up question:
So with the software of xe, would that make it superior than our sensation - given a choice (disregarding battery and external case)?
Would xe rom become the standard of modded roms then?
Tnx

beats audio on sensation rom

im am not fully understanding the whole beats audio thing with the new revolution 3.6.x rom.does this actually load software in the phone that makes the phone have this actual feature or is it just there as something to show off to people.im just not understanding it because i thought that one would have to have all other types of internal equipment to add an audio system to a phone.
Well I think its some fancy set of equalizer maybe alithrograms that the music runs through (software side)
I assume on the sensation XE it has the beats amp built into the phone
So really yes you do have beats but only the software side of things
If that's the case you could pretty much get the effects using DSp manager with something like poweramp and vet close if not better sound
Hope this was helpful, I'm going to bed now lol

No.
____________
its basically a software thats included on a rom. if you were to flash any of the roms without beats onto the xe, you would lose beats. this is basically a scheme that htc came up with to promote beats audio. all in all, xe is only a sensation clocked to 1.5 which is what the regular sensation is supposed to be on, and a bigger battery with more red accents
Sensation XE does not have ANY DIFFERENCE from the orignal Sensation ( unless you count cosmetic differences. ) Beats is only software side. Dont fret it.

[Q] Sensation vs XE

I'm aware that the phones have the same hardware, just want to know that if I buy a stock sensation, will I be able to use beats and stuff through a ROM, just losing the charming red capacitive keys ? Thanx a lot!
If you flash an XE-based ROM, yes
Have a look at Android Revolution HD 3.6.8
It converts your sensation into XE.
There are a lot of ROMs that based on XE with fully beats audio.

Just last night at geekaphone.com I was reading that the XE doesn't have assisted GPS, I wasn't awared that this was hardware, other than this even though battery is bigger and internal memory is a little more and beats, I don't see the point of getting it.

Hi there,
Why did you think that the white one would differ comparing to the black one?
Anyway, actually Stock ROMs are a bit heavy, as well as the kernels which provide lesser performance comparing to one other that includes a lot of governors and schedulers in which there aren't in the stock ones, I think.
Give them a try CRAEFULLY, in case you didn't like it, swap'em out! And get back to stock
