My Scull Candy, Philips and Sony works without any problem. Also Blackberry, HTC, MMX (all with mic) works too.
Did you check your handsfree if it's working fine with other phones with similar type of earphones supplied?

This is confirmed that all MMX A110 devices have this problem.
Initially I tool replacement handset for this issue from MMX and then I realised that the same issue exist in new handset also.
I tried almost all headsets around me which work on other devices flawlessly, Only original headset and Sony Erricsson MH650 worked for me.
Also the spyki007 method of using splitter worked for me but its only Headset mode not the Handsfree mode

Hello everone, please do not give or spread any wrong information. There are two types of 3.5 jack Headphone/earphone available one which supports Samsung phones (which can also use in laptops/ 2.5 stereo PIN) 2: which supports Nokia phones and mostly doesn't work with laptop/ stereo 2.5.(works with Micromax, Karbonn etc.) I hope you will find it simple and helpful. Thanks
I would suggest you either Skullcandy in-ear or over-ear headphones.

I bought mine a week back & been trying to get it up & running. It did work upon the first time. But after that I unpaired & never been able to get it to talk to my phone again. Contacted Sony Support but they said Micromax is an unsupported device.
Its really ridiculous. Why would a watch need a phone just to show time. Well I understand that the communication apps need a sync with the phone. But totally dissappointing to say a this was a smart watch.

Hey there, it's me again. I wonder whether my philips she 9550 will work with Xperia J since there is a difference in the standarts CTIA and OMTP. Does this apply only for headphones/earhpones with built-in microphone or for all kinds? Please reply if you can because such a problem would be a deal breaker for me. Thanks.

Here's something that I found on google
The new Sony Xperia S, Xperia P and Xperia U will use a different 3.5mm headset standard compared to the older Xperia models from 2010 & 2011. The spec sheet for the new 2012 Xperia models highlight that the 3.5mm jack will now use the CTIA standard as opposed to the OMTP standard it was using previously.

I use JVC Xtreme Xplosives with a built in mic and they work fine on the Xperia J.
Btw this article might help you out - http://www.xperiablog.net/2012/02/27/2012-xperia-range-uses-different-3-5mm-headset-standard/
Thank you for the reply and link.
I thought the best way to figure out was to try by myself. So I went to my mobile provider today and played a little with a sample xperia J. My earphones philips she 9550 worked 100% just for you to know. I suppose the problem occurs only for earphones with built-in mic.
You can close the topic now. Thanks

Hi. I know that this post wasn't refreshed for some time but maybe I will be able to help someone. I was looking for some BT headset with ability to plug my own headphones. If you are looking good quality BT headset you may check some SONY devices. Yeah, I know... Samsung user with SONY headphones. I bought Sony SBH50. You may be also interested in two other models SBH20 and SBH52.
I have Sony SBH50 and it works perfect
FM?
So just to be sure I understand correctly -- this is asking about an FM headset due to the S4 (as opposed to, for example, the S3) lacking an FM radio? (because Samsung sucks dicks etc.)

I think these are working based on what I read. They come with an adaptor but I think you don't need to use it. http://en-uk.sennheiser.com/earphones-headset-smart-phones-cx-275s

Hello guys this is my first post in XDA. so if i make any mistake plz forgive me.
I have Canvas 2 plus and Galaxy Y.as u all may know MMx doesnt support most of the good earphone which has mic so i decided to go for JBL earphones(Without Mic). I found 2 model J22 and J33 and now i am confused , Can any 1 tell me what is the difference between this 2 model & which 1 will be better.
Any other suggestion is also Welcome.i know skullcandy is also good but i couldn't find without mic. My budget is max 2.5k. and i will only buy in-ear headphones not over the head.
Thanks In advance
