In recovery you can connect to the tablet via USB and ADB.
ADB supports the commands "push" (upload to tablet) and "pull" (download from tablet). They should let you do what you want.
Something like this:
Code:
# upload ROM to tablet
adb push my-rom.zip /sdcard/
You can get adb from Google's Android SDK:
http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
I will try that thanks you

I'm in the same situation. I actually have this ROM here on my sdcard, but after flashing, it won't boot. Any ideas?
Maybe your download is corrupt. Try redownloading or try another ROM.
As always, if the rom is from another release/version, you need to do a full factory reset and dalvik/cache wipe, otherwise chances are it won't boot. Also try Easy Flasher to get it back to stock and start fresh if all fails, but you will lose your data so adb pull it first if it's important.
Well I will try that too, with easy flasher...

Hey all, I have run into an issue with my HTC One X where my rom became corrupt and I am now stuck in TWRP and for the life of me I cannot get windows to recognize my phone. I have installed the HTC Drivers as well as HTC Sync.
I am able to create a backup successfully as well as wipe and factory reset, I just can not get my device to link up with my pc.
I had a restore point on my phone but at some point it was deleted however I still have one on my pc I just cant get it.
I have tried formatting with factory reset and external drive format, Hasoon2000 recovery & ADB Sideload.
Any help is greatly appreciated
** The phone shows up as a cd drive at all times.
Is your sdcard corrupt? Can you Mount it in twrp? I assume your trying to flash a ROM but there's nothing on your sdcard?

I think it might be, When I mount it I only get the CD Drive (E and i cant access it. I felt it was wierd though that within TWRP I was able to make a successful restore point (although its a restore point with no Rom). And that is right im trying to send a rom over to the phone to make it useable.
Well I'm not really sure what's going on but you could try this

Could you ever connect with your pc while in bootloader? I'm assuming it worked at some point since you're rooted.
Try removing all HTC software and drivers from your PC, then reinstalling. When you're connected and in bootloader, use Task Manager to find and kill any running HTC processes. Sounds like you need to reformat your sdcard, but once you do that, you should be able to get a rom back on there.

I found the solution : Plug the phone to the PC, open in TWRP recovery / click on mount, then the PC ask to format the device, format in fat32. Then copy the rom to the sdcard. Flash it with TWRP. Done!
Hello,
I recently unlocked my bootloader and installed the CWM recovery to install custom kernels for overclocking (my htc one mini is not rooted). So I went for the JmzM4_Kernel-09-4-13. And since I installed it I am in a F$%&/&%$ reboot loop. I already wiped the cache and dalvik cache twice but it doesn't help. I searched already for answers on google but I didn't find what needed, so I landed here.
Hope somebody can help me to get out of this reboot loop and get a normal smartphone again
Thank you for your attention

Did you flash the boot.img using flashboot from the kernel zip? also are you using jelly bean 4.2.2? because that's what it was built for.
Also there are no options to over clock using this kernel...

Thank you for your reply :good:
Yes I did flash the boot.img with flashboot, but I have android 4.3 and sense 5.5 on it. Is that maybe the problem?
A friend of me said that if I flash an incompatible kernel on my device, it would be dead. Is that true? I don't think so because I still have acess to the bootloader and CWM recovery .
shouldn't brick your phone, but your gonna need to flash a kernel compatible with 4.3. There isn't one in this forum, but if you ask one of the rom devs on here really nicely they may provide a compatible kernel from one of their rom releases. Else your gonna have to re flash your rom..

Can I install HTC one kernels or are the two phones completely different?
I already searched on the net for htc one mini kernels. There is almost nothing !!!!!

there are NO 4.3 kernels as of yet. I'm saying you need ask a dev to make you one,but I doubt they'll do it unless you ask really really nicely. Your most likely going to have to flash a whole rom..
AND NO HTC ONE AND HTC ONE MINI A VERY DIFFERENT. DO NOT USE ANY KERNEL UNLESS IT'S MADE FOR THE ONE MINI. OR YOU MAY BRICK YOUR PHONE.

ok, I think I will go for the second option: I will flash a rom.
So here my question: What kind of rom do I have to flash, to come out of the bootloop?
I am a beginner in this kind of thing so please explain it to me step by step.

Personally I would only recommend the one I am currently using, as I haven't tried any others except WWE Stock 4.2.2 by trigger, which is the base of what I'm using, which is Magio R3 with the JMZ Kernel. I used the guide below which worked without problems. BUT BEFORE YOU DO MAYBE MAKE A POST ABOUT CHANGING FROM 4.3 TO 4.2.2 JUST BECAUSE I AM NO EXPERT, AND I'M UNSURE IF THERE COULD BE ISSUES WITH THIS? THOUGH I THINK IT SHOULD BE FINE.
Else stick with the 4.3 Stock ROM by Trigger though this is untested by me. Also skip the kernel installation if using the 4.3 ROM.
THE GUIDE:
Ecstacy42 said:
Don't do it if you don't feel comfortable.
1. Unlock your bootloader here. Select "All Other Supported Models" and follow the instructions.
2. Download the Rom, Kernel, and a recovery, verify the MD5 checksums, and then copy the rom and kernel zips to your internal SD card. I'd recommend one of the WWE versions as they don't have a lot of the AT&T bloat.
3. Boot into the bootloader (it says how in the guide showing you how to unlock your bootloader)
4. Select fastboot, plug your phone into your computer.
5. Type "fastboot devices" to make sure it's connected, then type "fastboot flash recovery whateverrecoveryyouused.img".
6. Boot into recovery. Make a backup. Then wipe system, data, cache, and dalvik cache.
7. Reboot into fastboot, then type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" using the boot.img from the Rom you downloaded.
8. Reboot into recovery and install the rom zip using TWRP/ClockworkMod.
9. Reboot into fastboot and type "fastboot flash boot boot.img" using the boot.img from the kernel.
10. Reboot into recovery and flash the kernal zip.
11. Start up your phone, if you flashed a DeOdexed Rom it'll take a little while to boot up.
I'm not sure if you have to flash the boot.img from the rom, then flash it, then flash the boot.img from the kernel and then flash it, but it's best to follow the directions and avoid potentially causing problems.

ok thank you,
but when I have the rom for my htc one mini, how do I place it in the main storage ( as a zip ). It can boot properly and reboots before my computer can detect it.
And is this Magio r3 rom compatible with the htc on mini? On the website it is shown that it is for htc one XL. And it also says that the recovery has to be the TWRP recovery and I have the CWM recovery.
Thank you for your answer. :good:

Everything you need is here on the XDA, "HTC One mini" section. ONLY USE ROMS WHICH ARE SPECIFICALLY FOR THE "ONE MINI". NO OTHER. EVER.
Just use this one it's 4.3 stock. You flash it as a ZIP from either CWM or TWRP.

And read the OP!
Also once this is working. DON'T FLASH YOUR PHONE EVER AGAIN. YOU CLEARLY HAVEN'T READ UP ENOUGH AND DON'T CARE ABOUT YOUR PHONE. No offense but do you really want a $500 paper weight?

In download mode, the only ROMs that you can flash are the stock ROMs.
What CWM you using? Latest is 6.0.4.7.
Also, maybe you can sideload?

I'd suggest running a stock firmware/RUU . Thats why I asked for the CID. You can try OTG but the way I suggest is (nearly) guaranted to work.

Yes that is
Or you can use the RUU option as last option, because you will lose all the data and the superuser access
Your mobile will be like a new One S, but with the bootloader unlock I think
Sometimes you need S-Off to flash any different RUU

Firstly, that isn't what he was asking. Secondly, if you're going to tell someone to use fastboot to flash something you need to elaborate. Simply saying 'use fastboot' isn't enough information. Either spell out the command for them or direct them to a guide that does so. Without that extra information your post is pointless.
