Let the battery drain. When your phone turns off, charge it for half an hour or so (it won't turn on unless it's a certain % charged). Then hold VolDown and firmly press Power for a second or so; release Power but keep VolDown pressed, and the phone will boot into fastboot.

You mean to say I cant restore to stock ROM and now I have to flash Fallout or any other custom rom
Or Can I locked the bootloader and install the ICS RUU?
What you suggest

If i'm not mistaken, you should be able to relock bootloader using fastboot command then flash RUU
or just try to flash another custom rom. it's really up to you.

Dont install ics ruu. Format all partitions except SD then reflash your Rom properly.

My understanding of the ics ruu is that it's too buggy overall, you can install the ruu at any point as long as you lock the bootloader first. I didnt realise you were going back to stock. I thought you wanted fallout working

As long as its working I am OK with Fallout or else will again go back to RUU for the time being.
As suggested by you this is the second time I have flashed the Fallout ROM now waiting to reboot the same. Still getting the HTC ONE V logo screen. let see..will update you.
And if you all guys are there to help the peoples/new users like me then No Worry at all...

[Q][Fixed] Help needed! my DS wont boot.

Hi all.
I was trying to cook a little bit in dsixda's kitchen, so i tried to port a rom from the DHD. evereything in the kitchen went well, so i flashed the rom. but when i booted it, it wouldn't boot. it was stuck at the white 'HTC' screen. so i tried to enter Recovery mode. But it stuck at the white 'HTC' screen again...
What can I do to revive my Desire S?
you are pulled the battery out wen it stuck??
Ok. i think i have the solution...
in Fastboot, i can see my DS (ADB), so i'm placing the .img's of my backup in the root of my SD.
i'll try to flash the backup files over fastboot.

But command prompt says: Error: Can not load boot.img

Hmm... i think i have all the files, but the fastboot commands aren't helping me... i get the message 'failed to load update.zip' while its in the root of my SD. when i give the command fastboot update.

ok. ive got a little further. i selected a zip from my pc, but cmd said it didn't contain android-info.txt of android-product.txt
Which rom has these files?
and where can i obtain it?
Ok. got it to work again. Used the RUU Program from HTC.
Thanks to evereyone who tried to help me.
Damn. feels like my phone is back in stone age with that stock rom!

So put your battery out, boot into recovery and install another/previous ROM and your desire s will boot

So i tried some stuff in Fastboot, and the solution was the RUU program while in fastboot. And after updating evereything from HTC stock, i restored from CWM my old LBC Mod rom

[Q] Bootlooping and cannot open recovery

hi all,
Firstly apologies if this is covered somewhere but for the life of me I cannot get to the bottom of this. I have spent 2 weeks on and off trying to get a solution but my Sensation is still boot looping.
The problem occurred when I turned on the camera but was faced with a blank screen. I could return to home screen but the camera would not work each time I launched. So I rebooted the device but then I was stuck in this boot loop.
Device info
HTC Sensation S-OFF RL
HBOOT-1.27.0000
RADIO-11.21.3504.13_2
I was running Insert Coin 2.3.5 ROM for some time without issue
I was hoping I could just do a superwipe and flash a new ROM
FAIL - each time I boot into CWM and select Recovery, it just goes back to bootloop.
I selected Factory Rest from CWM menu
FAIL - it just goes into bootloop
Also cannot use ADB as the device will not connect to the PC. Im using a card reader to put files on the SD card but have not being successful resolving the issue.
Tried an SD card from a stock Sensation, no difference. Booting with no SIM, not working.
Most Bootloop fix's seem to involve super wipes / flashing new ROMs but because my Recovery goes into the bootloop I dont have this option. I wish it was so easy.
Can anybody offer an other ideas.
Thanks for you patience, I am not much of a modder or Android expert. I had just flashed a ROM many months ago to help improve battery life and I was happy with that.
Have you tried re-installing your recovery throught the bootloader?
try different recovery (4EXT) or reinstall recovery again
thanks guys.
I found these flashable recovery files. Both CWM and 4EXT. I have tried both zips and ran the update in HBOOT but am still booting in CWM and if I select RECOVERY is goes too bootloop again.

I think I might just give up and drop the phone into a phone repair shop and let them try it.
Did both flashes work? What do you mean you're "booting in CWM"? Can you boot into your system and are you using CWM app to boot into recovery, or are you manually booting into your bootloader and selecting recovery?

Try this pg58img (it helped me)http://www.wuala.com/LuckyThirteen/Elegancia/Official RUU Sensation/ it will update your sensation to ICS, (you will maintain s-off)
Thanks for that. It flashed fine and I was very hopeful it would work but unfortunately it is still in the boot loop. I feel like crying. Im stuck with an old iphone and I miss my HTC so much.

Yes both flashes worked.
What I mean is, I am manually booting with volume down and power button. In the boot menu I select recovery and it enters boot loop.

Can you please re-flash the stock ics (PG58IMG), look like you have some firmware issues (sometimes you have to flash several time in order to rectify previous mistakes...) Hope it helps, otherwise (in my humble opinion) you have some hardware problem
If you can boot normally into ICS and you are rooted, then get the 4Ext app or the ROM Manager app and flash the recovery through one of those.

so I gave this a go over the weekend and flashed maybe up to 10 times the ICS IMG.
Unfortunately it hasnt worked and Im left with my device looping.
so its off to the phone shop today and hopefully it can be fixed. Pity I rooted it and flashed the ROM as it should still be under warranty but I have voided that now

Flashing the ICS PG58IMG.zip doesn't replace the recovery.
Fix recovery first. Use stock recovery. When you get that working, change to "simple" cwm recovery.
thanks for the advise. It makes perfect sense as it appears it is my stock recovery that is broken.
however, I have searched around and cannot find a stock recovery image that I can flash as PG58IMG.zip.
Any help would be much appreciated.

before flashing stock recovery...can you try this first
get this recovery image
and flash the recovery via fastboot
steps:
1.go to fastboot in your device and connect it to your pc (after this device should read fastboot usb)
2.get the adb/fastboot setup ready guide here
3.go to your adb folder and place the downloaded recovery.img there
4.type fastboot devices (it should show your device serial number)
5.now to flash type
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
this should do...if it didnt work then let me know ASAP...then we'll think of other solutions

[Q] HTC Sensation stick on white "HTC" screen after powering on.

Hi all, this probably isn't the right place for this question but it wouldn't let me post in develop etc...
I have a major problem, probably self inflicted :good:
I follwed a guide to install a custom ROM without S-OFF others were saying was working that involved unlocking it with HTCdev then using HTC One all-in-one tool to flash my recovery with CWM and then I tried to flash a ROM. It appeared to work and I rebooted.
Now whenever I turn my phone on it just gets stuck on the white screen with green "HTC" on it.
I've tried flashing different ROMs using CWM, some work some just won't even run (Installation Aborted)
I've tried everything i can think of or find and now I'm really stuck!
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Cheers!

[Q] S-OFF Facepalm help please

Hi all not too sure if I am doing this right but here goes (if not sorry).I tried to do the facepalm method a couple of times to get S-OFF with my one S (S4) I did the supercid, installed Recovery and placed a new rom on( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2065357 ) all by using the AIO tool kit from this site. All upto date versions of drivers etc. I can get as far as point 5 on the Facepalm method and first time got “FAILED (remote: 92 supercid! please flush image again immediately)” which from what i can gather is correct. I then proceeded to the next stage which I then found I had not installed SU (Now this is where have a funny feeling where it went Pete Tong on me), so i installed SU then went back to point 6 which seemed to push all the files though fine but I had no S-OFF. So I scanned through the thread and found someone else with the same problem and they fixed it by installing VIPER 2.2 rom I think this is where thing really went wrong. After the rom installed it gave black screen of death but after some faffing I got it to the dead android with the red triangle and the exclamation inside it screen abd it got stuck rebooting like that for a while. I managed (After 6 hrs+) to install a RUU 3.15 EU stock rom and started from scratch again with the original rom that I used (see link above) now I all get is the 99 error (I now have SU and rooted) so any thought (apologies for spelling and grammar I know how you like that)
Hboot version 2.15 or 2.13 (can remember which can get into bootloader if you really need it to be exact)
Recovery is TWRP 2.4.4.0
Hope you can help
thanks in advance
U sure the 'black screen of death' wasn't the stock recovery? That's how it looks triangle with exclamation mark inside
Can't figure out what your problem is try going onto their chat thing and asking the dev for help but before you do...
Do u flash super su in recovery or install from play store? I have a habit to flash it in recovery because a lot of the time it didn't work for me when I installed it from the play store
Also ones you super CID reboot your phone 3 times, I had a problem when after SuperCID I had no CID and jcase told me to reboot a few times then it worked

I think it was stock recovery but it just didn't like the Viper Rom i think when I check the CID it is 1111111 so I know that has worked and I installed SU in the recovery. Oh and was my "windows" take on the black screen of death yes it was the recovery screen but it still took 6 hrs plus to get it from that screen and back to booting normally sorry thought I made sense my bad

Dude you don't flash a custom rom in stock recovery the stock recovery is used for flashing official ota's
Download twrp 2.3.3 (nothing higher) and flash it to the phone by going into hboot
And on computer type
Fastboot flash recovery "name of recovery. Img"
Then boot Into recovery and flash Viper
U need to read properly... Don't do it if u don't know what your doing you can very easily brick your device..
Sorry mate I think I either wrote it wrong or you misread somewhere I have unlocked a fair few phones I didn't flash the custom Rom through stock. After the soft brick with the viper Rom I put an ruu 3.15 on then went through all the aio tool kit from scratch again my bad for not explaining properly I am not that dumb ha ha cheers for the reply though
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
I'm pretty sure that the 99 error means you have to do a proper reboot. Turn off fastboot in the power settings, turn off the phone, turn it on again to the OS. Make sure the phone is rooted, make sure you have custom recovery. Go through the S-OFF procedure again.
Edit: ALSO WIPE YOUR CACHE IN RECOVERY!

I'm pretty sure that the 99 error means you have to do a proper reboot. Turn off fastboot in the power settings, turn off the phone, turn it on again to the OS. Make sure the phone is rooted, make sure you have custom recovery. Go through the S-OFF procedure again.
