Below is the link to minimal Gapps (market only). You can do two things, One: flash this and install your required Google applications like network location and Maps from Market. Second: Delete vending.apk and put your required google apps into this zip.

Hi,
I am running cm9 alpha currently.
All works fine for me except google wallet keeps stopping. An error msg could be seen on screen. And, I really don't need google wallet and some other services like YouTube etc. But I do need Google sync. Can I uninstall them? Or is that possible for us to choose which google services will installed after flashing google service package?
Thanks,
Qi Zhang
Yea you can just use titanium or root explorer to remove them. I don't believe you can pick and choose which apps go into the gapps package. You could try downloading a bare bones rom and then install all your needed system apps.

The likely reason that it is force closing is you probably didn't format your /cache, /data, /system and /boot before flashing the rom and gapps.
Hey there! I am having a problem with Google Play. I am trying to include it in my Custom Rom, replacing Market with it.
I downloaded it and insterted in system/app, but market was still there.
I tried extracing it it from a backup, but the problem still existed...
How can I update the market app to Google Play in my custom rom?
Thanks in advanced

I think that you should keep the market and after flashing if it doesnt update itself then just clear the market cache and it shall update itself.
Press the thanks button if i helped you
All Android phones in China comes without Google Play or any Google services.
It seems the only option is to root and install the google apps, but I was wondering what happens if I change the stock firmware from China to another country (let's say Hong Kong for example) in order to download play store. Any help would be helpful thanks!
Hi KJYap,
You can download the Google Play Apk from the link below: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/
Probably a popup comes up that you need to give permission to install the apk..
Check 'Unkown Sources' in the settings and you're good to go
Now you can install all Google apps you want from Google Play.
Hope it helps!

Sorry but that's incorrect, you need to install TWRP and flash gapps to get the framework, otherwise the apps won't work. If you have a 9200 we cant use the regular TWRP and you must use the one linked on the SVA Rom page http://www.studenikin.ru/svarom/svarom_G9200.asp

This is not possible. You cant install the playstore apk like every other apk. You have to copy this apk (and play services) in the system partition and give it the appropriate rights. and for that you need root. And don't flash Gapps to the Stock rom because these are intended for aosp roms.
Hi,
I made a mistake I was tired. I wanted to uninstall google play services UPDATE (downgrade) but like a retard I deleted the app instead of the update with titanium backup.
I tried to install a new clean APK with correct dpi etc... but I have google play services has stopped working all the time. all apps who need playservice are not working like google maps. a lot of apps who required location mostly.
I can acces to the playstore but only with a secondary account. main account is not working anymore.
Do I need to install play services differently? Or I'm good to flash a clean firmware with odin?
Thanks.
Try to convert Play Services to a system app and then reboot or if that not works, yes, flash a new firmware.

thanks for you help
I made a similar mistake trying to install a newer version of play services and got the same behaviour.
Only thing I could do was reflash firmware.

Just download the Google play apk off a trusted site (i.e xda). Then the other apps off Google play.. Unless the update wipes data.. No you do not have to reinstall.
If you do have a system wipe, just keep Google play apk on your ex SD card.
Enjoy

Thanks for you reply, much appreciated, I was wondering however do i need to also install google framework, services etc, as i a have read simply installing play store on a Chinese version is not enough and a number of google installers exist like gms core, however there seems to be a number of people complaining of compatibility problems therefor i was wondering if when my phone comes, i would have major probs installing google apps.
initially i was simply hoping to flash a official stock eu rom, however someone on this forum said that would void warranty, which i was surprised because coming from back to back Samsungs, flashing a stock ROM of another region was not a problem as it was official.
thanks
There I believe if you download those APK.. All that will be included
Like Facebook.. It's all included
You will have to install Google games or other Google related stuff individually... If something is needed Google will tell you, then just go to play and install.
My pleasure to help... Let me know if you need further assistance.
As for honors warranty policy... That's their call, I myself come from a long line of Samsung's.
Yes they are more flash friendly.
Other than that..idk
Good luck cheers
