[Q] LG P920H bricked - LG Optimus 3D

Hello guys, I hope you can help me over here. I know that there is a lot of chance that what I am about to ask, would be around in the forum, but I need to ask anyway.
First of all I am a Sasumg device's user, so i don't know much of the LG devices as i do about the Samsung devices. The point is that a friend of mine has a LG OPTIMUS 3D (P920H) and we are having sometroubles while trying to install CW 10 in the phone.
First we managed to install CM 10 and it booted, but it had no signal at all, only WI-FI. After we tried to downgrade the phone by restoring the backed up rom that we made before installing CM 10, but the phone got stuck at the LG logo.
Yeah, yeah, I know that there is a lot of information in tghe forum, but I am not looking for you guys to tell me how to fix this problem, I jut need some kind of information about the files and all that stuff, for example, I have readed about the baseband, but I really don't understand how to flash it, and that KDZ files and all that stuff. Samsung is much simple in that way, ODIN, put the file in the correct place and that's all, I understand that it must be something like that for LG, but I need some help about the files, or you can point me to the correct threat to downgrade the phone or to flash the baseband for the P920H.
Thanks a lot guys.

OK bro u can either flash kdz which is a bin and fls file combined together using LG kdz flasher .....or u can flash bin and fls files each alone
Using LG flash tool .
Fls is the basband
Bin is the rom
Download mode is ;;: take out the battery and hold the volume up and then insert the cable while holding volume up and then 5 second later insert the battery and 3 seconds release volume up this is called download mode.

[GB] [Super Easy] Method of Rooting LG OPTIMUS 3D MAX P720/P725/P720H/SU870(CUBE)

Hello guys I have finally rooted my LG OPTIMUS 3D MAX P725 phone and here are the steps originally from Russian forum 4pda.ru for LG OPTIMUS L5 working on our beloved OPTIMUS 3D MAX.
Working on LG OPTIMUS 3D MAX P720, LG OPTIMUS 3D MAX P725 AND LG OPTIMUS CUBE SU870 ONLY GINGERBREAD
NOTE : I am not held responsible for bricked devices
Follow the given STEPS CAREFULLY :
OFFLINE Root for LG OPTIMUS 3D MAX
1. Download the archive and unpack it (create a folder on desktop named whatever you like):
Root kit http://www.mediafire.com/?fafrhfiu409zy99
2.Download "IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk" attached below and copy to root of your phone (internal storage).
forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1272418&d=1345501542
3. On the phone in the "Options -> Security" enable "Unknown sources"
In the "For Developers" enable "Debug on USB"
4. Install "IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk"
5. Then open the installed "SystemBackupTest" and not closing
Hold down the power button and reboot the device.
6. You might get BOOTLOOP ,so don't PANIC. Just wait at the LG LOGO.
After 3-4 Minutes on LG LOGO, PRESS Power Button.
7. Connect the usb now ( make sure that usb drivers are already installed ).
7. In the folder you've created «O3DM Rooting Kit» run the file «root.bat»,
wait until the script is executed and the phone will reboot.
8.Then on the phone, open the Google Play Store and you will find "SuperSU"
Upgrade "SuperSU", and then open the program asks updates ... Click OK, to
9.Update SU binary ...
10.Now you have a root-law. You can delete an application «SystemBackupTest» ...
Please see attached photos for proof Enjoy...
IT TOOK MORE TIME TO SEARCH AND TEST AND EDIT THIS METHOD THAN THE TIME YOU WILL TAKE TO JUST " HIT THANKS".
So, Don't forget to " HIT THE THANKS "
Sorry if this is a silly question but.. do you know if it works on V10d?
Let me know if you'd like any further information about my phone - I'm desperate to root this thing, I've spent so many hours trying so many methods.
Sent from my LG-P725 using xda app-developers app
It is working perfectly on v10c nd i think it will work also on v10d.
Its the easiest way.
Nd don't forget to hit thanx after rooting.
Soon more to come from me.

You, sir, are a legend.
Thanx for your words.

A recovery nd then a rom

I clicked the Thanks button before even writing
Yep a new ROM would be awesome. I have Bootmanager installed but it's not recognising the device. I had an HTC Desire HD before this, but I rooted that about 2 years ago - maybe I'm forgetting some step like ClockWorkRecovery?
I'll be watching this thread with great interest
Yes after rooting next step is a recovery.
No CLOCKWORK MOD RECOVERY yet.
So i have asked one of my friend to make it for me.
Hope to get it working.
Then its easy to make a custom rom.
U can also be updated at my facebook page.

Darn.. I tried clockwork recovery backup phone ROM.. and now I think I've bricked it. Stuck at the LG screen. I should have just been patient and happy with the Root access Looking for ways to unbrick it.
For that u can download LG SUPPORT TOOL from the official site by searching your phone.
After installing.
Install it.
Run it and go to tools and recovery phone.
Add your imei nd click check.
Den u can recover your phone through it
Sent from my LG-P725 using xda premium
Oh wow, lol I was about to post about how I solved it. The scary thing was that I couldn't get into recovery mode via the normal method of holding Vol up & Power. So I looked all over, and eventually tried just powering it on by only holding the Vol up button while having the USB cable already inserted. For some reason, that allowed it to enter recovery mode. I'd also noticed that if I tried just booting the phone, each time in my Device Manager it would show the Comm port for a split second before becoming inactive again.
And yeah, once I could see it in S/W Upgrade, I knew I had a window in, and did exactly what you'd said. I just really wanted to stress how important it is to be able to get into the Recovery Mode, in case anyone else gets this frightening situation. I truly thought I'd locked myself out forever. Back to stock, I'll now confidently re-apply your excellent method of obtaining root. ...and wait patiently this time for how to do anything more nifty such as get BootManager working
I have tried to root the phone with the given instruction above..and it WORKS!!!!
Now recovery done!
Guyz great newz for you all..
I and my friend RON GOKHLE had finally made a fully working recovery for our lovely optimus 3d max p725.
I am uploading and creating a thread!!!
Will b back to you ASAP.
cheers!!!
NICE!
You and Ron Gokhle deserve a huge thanks for that bro. Keep up the incredible work guys!

[Q] [HELP][P720H] Bricked with Clockworkmod - Any solution?

Today I rooted my O3D Max and when I was installing Clockworkmod Recovery, it prompted me to choose between Optimus 2x and 3D, then I touched the 3D thinking it was the right one, but when it rebooted, got stuck in LG logo screen at the start.
It only turns off when I remove the battery, or press 3d button + lower volume + power button, if a put the battery back, in 3 seconds it starts, so I can't access the CWM to wipe data.
Is there any solution to this?
Welcome to our forum I hope you will find what you need .
You (O3D max user(s)) really need help ,, every time the same problem because of phone name (I'm thinking to create a guide for O3D max users , I hope)
Your problem is easy , what you need :-
KDZ Flash tool (sorry I forget the name)
KDZ file for O3D max
You should enter download mode (emergency mode) but I don't know how because I do not have 3D max . And then connect to PC and flash the KDZ .
I didn't give details because this is different from phone to another , but in general this is the method to solve your problem .

Yeah, first, thank u for the quick help, and I was looking for some O3D Max stuff in XDA, but it's mixed with the O3D stuff, some posts are for P720h like the one I followed to root this phone, it worked, but I couldn't find anything about these "unbricking tools" to O3D Max, only for O3D.
I owned a P970h and already done this before, but this time I couldn't find these files.
Now the phone doesn't turn on anymore , so I'll keep searching.
Thnks.
I found this and I'll try it, then post here the results.

I had that problem a few weeks ago, trying to install CWM Recovery through ROM Manager.
I had to flash a new ROM to get the phone working.
You should use this tutorial to install CWM or TWRP Recoveries: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1978543

[How TO] Unbrick, hard bricked LG Optimus One (P500)

I was using
Device: LG Optimus One P500
Recovery: ClockworkMod 5.0.2.7
Kernel version: 2.6.35.10
Android version: 4.2.1
Current ROM: GenetICS 9.1.7
Then I downloaded another custom ROM [4.2.1]PACman 19.9.0 [PA][AOKP][CM](seems to be deleted now). Stating thats its some updated version of previous ROM.
Downloaded through XDA app and then opened it directly with ROM Manager to install it.
But unfortunately something went wrong and my phone got stuck on boot logo i.e. LG. :silly:
Then I tried to repair it with KDZ updater using V20c-00 firmware. Everything worked fine. I rooted it through SuperOne click and installed CWM recovery through ROM Manager. :victory:
Till then everything was looking under control.
After that I tried to flash another ROM through CWM Recovery, but again i got stuck on Boot Logo. I tried to repair it once again with KDZ updater as I did it previously, but everytime KDZ updater showed error.
Now my phone is not even responding to anything means not with hard keys combos or something. :crying:
I am not able to find any solution for this, even I searched it a lot.
Please please help me.
Edit: If only LG can help me now, can anyone tell me how much it will cost?
Unfortunately, if you removed the battery after KDZ gives out an error, you have hard-bricked your phone. Only LG can help you now
There is an emergency mode you can attempt, as long as you have the software on your computer to flash factory settings on to your phone.
To access emergency mode, do the following:
1) Take out the battery
2) Have a usb cable already connected to the computer.
3) Hold the power button + volume up + back button AND then connect the usb while holding those buttons
Yellow screen will appear with the words emergency mode in the middle.
At this point, do some forum searching, find some kind of stock image file and LG program to flash stock system on to the phone.
*there is also a forum post somewhere here that I learnt this stuff off of...see if you can find it

I have not had any luck with KDZ or LGMDP with a device stuck in Emergency Mode. I have two P506's that are stuck in Emergency Mode, thanks to KDZ. I have tried every fix I can find here and on several other forums with no luck. I don't want to discourage you, but don't get your hopes up either.
I know this is OT, but...

I remember being successful with the LGMDP in emergency Mode with the P500, even though the stock rom that i used didnt quite work with the phone it got me past the boot logo and gave me access back into my recovery. Once you can at least get into the recovery you are golden (for the most part).
OT:
Thanks shinobi. I've been lurking xda for a while now since i got the p500, just recently i really wanted to post in rashed's thread for issues/bugs i found with the cm10.1 rom

No luck to me guys. As I already mentioned that there is no response from phone, not even emergency mode.
Now I tried with even JTAG still no luck.
Went to LG day before yesterday as that was the only hope. But unfortunately my phone is out of warranty and the cost of motherboard is almost equal to the cost of phone itself.
So, that means I have no other option besides keeping it with me as a precious piece of brick.
Thanks to KDZ_Updater.

Cost of motherboard from LG was 8800/- Indian Rupees. And the total cost of phone was 9999/- Indian Rupees.
But I got it repaired in 1800/- Indian Rupees with JTAG. Thanks to a local mobile repair shop.
But I am afraid that this service may not be available in your country.
I am also from India buddy. But I don't think so I could fund jtag in my city.

Hi a_loo!
I Have a LG P500 2.3.3 V20e.
I rooted it today without any problem. Loaded ROM manager, flashed ClockworkMod recovery.
Then I downloaded from Cyanogen cm-7.2.0-p500.zip and placed it on the SD card.
And from ROM manager I did an "install ROM from SD card."
It worked for a while the it froze with a cyanogenmod 7 image. None of the controls & buttons and working.
I'm rather new and trying not to panic.
I'd really appreciate your assistance.

Bricked Lg P500
I hard bricked my LG P500 today. It seems there is no hope... No life at all. Oh well... Life sucks I'm in South Africa and don't want to spend money on older phone. I probably did something wrong with LG KDZ, trying to flash stock ROM.

cant start my LG Thrill

please any can helpme, Iam buy an LG Thrill 3d (p925) AT & T... the phone when I buy its turn on.... and I don't check any thing...
but the next day I sold the phone, and today the buyer return the phone to me and tellme the phone donts turn it off... and the phone show only the Logo "LG" and nothing more, don't pass to any step just the Logo...
so I take the phone and pull out the battery and put again and press the 3 buttons to get in recovery mode.... ( because I put the battery and turn on the phone but its the same just see the Logo " LG" ) .. and "voila" the phone showme "rom manager" I think CWM....
I think the buyers do something to the phone like reset or factory reset or any thing more or delete some files...
the question its... ( I don't know the phone its rooted ) I think the phone its rooted because show "CWM"... so what I need to do?
1.- How to start in normal mode or android mode... to see if have any zip rom in the memory phone, to reinstall that rom ?

[Completed] [Q] Black Screen of Death

Hi everyone ! I am new to forum, so please forgive me if I post into the wrong category .
I have a very big problem with my phone (LG L3 Optimus E400) . I have installed a lot of custom roms on it and yesterday I realized that the current rom I was using doesn't receive text messages so I decided to try antoher one and I had the "great" idea to Flash v20 Baseband for flashing SlimBeane610 rom. That was very silly. After I flashed the rom, I rebooted my phone and nothing happened, screen is black all the time. When I press the power button the phone vibrates and the back and menu buttons lights up for 1 second like normal log on, then boom, all goes black again and if I don't remove the battery and I press the power button or any combination (like Reset, Emergency mode) doesn't work. I googled everything, I found something on this forum but not very useful. I tried wit adb but my phone isn't on so it can't be recognized. I tried wit KDZ Updater (until the phone was recognized) but I get a error like WParam: 100 and LParam: 500. When I connect it with USB sounds are playing like normal and Mobogenie wants to connect with it but I can't enable USB Debugging so it's pissing me off . If I can enable USB Debuggins from PC somehow, maybe I can connect phone with Mobogenie and make a restore , a backup or flash another rom, it would be easy If I can go into recovery or emergency mode but I can't . If it would exist a software that can erase everything on the phone when the it's turned off ... .I tried with LG TOOLS, LG PC SUITE IV, LG FLASH TOOLS, Android MULTI TOOLS and nothing(i have the latest drivers installed). Can I make something to it using the external_sd (like put a flash into it, connect it through PC via USB cable and try to flash a rom from command prompt but I don't know the paths). This is a very hard problem, I have a bricked L3 and I don't know hot to unbrick, I think isn't only a soft problem, maybe I should do something with its hardware ? If anyone could help I would really appreciate .
Thanks in advance !
PS : I won't be able to follow this conversation until the next week because I am going to "Primitive Age" right now...oh God, I'm only good to smash things . :crying:

The most important thing is, can you see the LG logo that shows up in normal boot? If you don't, it'd be either a screen problem or a hard brick. Nobody except LG can fix these problems, and you would have to pay LG some money to fix the phone. But if you DO see the LG logo and your phone stops, you can try the below options.
It just may be bricked, and you could try getting into recovery and flash an alternative ROM. But if that doesn't work, tryLG mobile support tools to get it back to its stock firmware. Good Luck!

No, I can't see the LG logo . If I could saw the LG screen was very easy to fix it. I think the phone it's really dead and I also think that even an authorized service can't fix it . Do you know an approximately price for fixing this issue ? Thanks .

You should definitely ask the experts who own your device for help, Here...
