[Q] Problem with updating - Optimus One, P500, V Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi!
I was updating my lg p500 to gingerbread with the official software of LG, but when was the update, there was a communication problem and now the phone screen says "Emergency mode".
What do I do?

You can still try to update.. let it be in emergency mode. ( kinda risky )
Check usb drivers and other things.
OR
Take it to LG service centre and get it update. Safe.

[Q] LG Fathom Emergency Mode and Updating Problem

Hello,
I've tried emergency mode, and then updating for LG Fathom. After the phone goes into "Downloading... Do not unplug!" mode, the update begins but fails at the % 94. It does not complete the updating process and does not reset. I replaced the battery but it still says "Downloading... Do not unplug!" I've tried to update again but the LGMobile Support Tool actually detects it as "Model: VS750, Version: VS750ZV7" and the text box says "The Cell phone is the latest version already. So you don't need to update." but it still says "Downloading... Do not unplug!"
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
Oscar

Can you expand on your question?
Please explain what you are doing, and at what point you are running into problems.
I don't have time to do a walkthru and I'm on another computer that contains the files and it's VERY late, but the below should get you off to a start:
Are you running the official LG updater LGMobileUpdate.exe? (it sucks)
Did you download the flash file to your hard drive, or are you relying upon the (crappy LGMobileUpdate.exe) official update program that goes online for the flash file? and usually crashes right at the end?
Did you remove the SD card?
Battery fully charged?
Configured USB mode /PC sync mode correctly?
Using the cable that came with the phone?
Have you installed the USB drivers?
IIRC I think these are the ones - Google to find:
LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_WHQL_Ver_4.9.4_All.exe
CRC32: 17CFF6EE
MD5: 18710A96C1B08C9CD91872B746F8A647
SHA-1: C4B85224A36CD317B3FF6BF331E0431C82D1B939
Are you using LG-Utils-0.4.2.zip -from-bhast02_xda-Developers
CRC32: C24F872B
MD5: 97DEDB4437DEBC80CF92B90B93DED0E3
SHA-1: 53AEEBB3E6E2B03A3B45D557A62DF2EE39D44482
Did you put the "Official" LG updater and rom flash file in the same directory as the files you extracted from LG-Utils-0.4.2.zip?
Did you configure the exe KP500 to run in SP2 mode, full admin rights?
Which OS are you running? and at what SP level?
Running as Admin?

RE: LG Fathom VS750 Emergency Download Mode exit
Depress the RESET button located near the micro usb port.
FYI: Run the update tool in XP SP2 compatibility mode, remove SD from slot before flash, make sure battery is fully charged... and use LG-Utils-0.4.2 to point the updater to local file on hard drive for best results. (Put LGMobileUpdate.exe, B2CAppSetup.exe in same folder you extracted LG-Utils-0.4.2 to.)
VS750 USB drivers (I think): LGUSBModemDriver_Eng_WHQL_Ver_4.9.4_All.exe
PS: VS750ZV5_06.SV5_06.P58006.R5.cab with the addition of SPB SHELL 3.5.5 or some other launcher /shell gives you more customization options.
Far more than V7 does (V7 appears to be running a OEM version of SPB Shell)
V7 = Causes the Mute incoming call ringer app to crash. When the phone is ringing if the vol up/down key is depressed it crashes. Ringer does not mute....

I have done as per the above, its just stuck in the down load mode.

I can see many people got stuck in "Downloading... Do not unplug!" mode on LG fathom VS750,
while updating or after an update is over,, and i am one of them now.
My vs750 was unstable so tried updating it to v7 through KP500 LG Utilis - 0.4.2-N
but end of update,, phone got hung didnt reboot n since then it got stuck in emergency mode forever.
basically the phone doesnt reboot to windows leaving the "Downloading... Do not unplug" screen
tried almost everything even removed the phones main hardware board CMOS cell to clear RAM ROM,, but no luck!
Disabled modem in device manager then re-flashed various BIN files in emergency mode using LGNPST 1.2 Lab version,, flashing done 100% but phone never reboots to windows,, real strange piece of ****!
HTCs are much more stable and reluctant from such unwanted disasters when someone is least expecting them.
if any one has tried anything different or got a fix from LG customer care,, please share.
Thnx in advance!

[Q] Help! My SU760 stucked in update screen, can't go to fastboot mode

Hi xda-devs. I am kinda a lurker here and here's is my first post. Hope you can help.
I have a O3D SU760 rooted running on GB with promethius ROM. I have heard the news of the ICS update and updated it using the LG Support Tool. I have managed to finish the 400+MB worth of file, and when I was on the update tab, the update didn't finished and was stucked in 16-20% (I tried it numerous times already)
So, whenever I open my phone, I only get the korean update screen on my phone. I tried booting via fastboot with omap4boot, installed the drivers, and managed to be detected by my PC. using omap4boot, choose SU760 (option 2) held vol up button before USB connection, and the omap4boot seems to run fine. BUT IT DOESNT DISPLAY THE LG LOGO, IT SHOWS THE KOREAN S/W UPDATE SCREEN INSTEAD. Now LG flashtool cannot see my SU760, but my device manager shows the LG USB mobile. Am I doing the fastboot mode right? I am thinking that I had bricked my SU760 already just for that ICS update.
please help. Your intervention will be highly appreciated.

for people, like me also, that LGMDP doesn't show device, you need to have installed LG drivers, disabled LG modem from device manager, reboot into recovery, conect phone to pc, go to advance/mounts and mount USB, that shoud make LGMDP show the device(maybe it will take some little time to detect it and instal drivers), from LGMDP select country and language, carrier, phone model and shoud see if there are updates for it and install them and after all is done reboot
AND DO NOT TRY TO UPDATE TROUGH KDZ BECAUSE ALOT OF PEOPLE HAD HARDBRICKED THEYR PHONES (USING KDZ IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY), ONLY USE LGMDP,
AN IF YOU EVENTUALY USED KDZ AND GAVE YOU ERROR, DO NOT PULL OUT BATTERY, JUST RETRY AGAIN UNTILL IS ALL DONE OK,
IF ALSO, YOU WILL NEED TO GET YOUR DEVICE TO THE REPAIR SHOP AND THAT IS NOT FOR FREE, OR IN THE WORST CASE YOU WILL NEED A NEW PHONE

LG G2 (T-Mobile/D801) Unbrick - Help needed!!!

Hello everyone.
I'm having trouble fixing my bricked LG G2 (D801/T-Mobile).
The current situation is as follows...
I am able to partially enter download mode within the "DemiGod Crash Handler" screen, I can confirm this by the fact that Windows detects the device the following...
Modems > LGE AndroidNet USB Modem
Ports (COM & LPT) > LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port (COM41) ( Please note: I changed port in attempt to connect the device to LG Flash Tool v1.8.6.527).
However when I plug the device into the computer and launch LG Flash Tool v1.8.6.527, it begins to flash, then errors out with a "Model Information Check Fail" message.
I did try the KDZ flash method with LG Flash Tool 2014, but that method didn't work because it errored out in "Problems communicating phone and PC". (Please note: I did not modify any COM ports for the device before trying this method. I left it at the default COM3 port).
Anyways... This is my dilemma and I hope someone out there can help me.
SIncerely,
~ Android
EDIT: When attempting to flash using LG Mobile Support Tool, it once again errors out with "Upgrade halted due to lack of battery power" even though I've sat the device in various charging modes for going on 7 days...

can you get the device to recovery mode
No, I cannot. It just boots into the DemiGod critical error screen.
No solution has been found. I've since scrapped the device. It's gone now. Thanks everyone for the help. Rest in peace, LG G2 (D801).
