[Q] Any custom ROM supports internet pass-through? - HTC One S

I had WiFi problem on my HTC One S for awhile. It cycles "Disconnected" and "Scanning". So I decided to install a custom ROM, tried to install CM, TrickDroid. CM works but WiFi problem continues as well, and also I lost "pass-through" option. While I cannot connect via WiFi, I connected to Internet via USB cable. So is there any custom ROM that supports "pass-through"?

I'd imagine all roms based on the official versions has that option, such as ViperS. I saw that option in Viper at least, but never tried it as I have no issues with my wifi(well, the reception is a bit on the low side, but doesnt affect performance).

[Q] How can I use Internet Pass-through?

Ok so I have HTC Sync installed, my laptop has office dsl line, I used to have perhaps 3 or 5 secs of internet on my Sensation thanks to Internet pass-through and Quicksense rom, now that I am on Insertcoin it doesn't work at all
Is it a rom problem, kernel problem or PC problem?
i have the same problem, i think its a rom problem, cuz im on stock kernel...
just use wifi teather, its just as fast and i use it constantly
The problem is that my data plan is not compatible with android apps, so when I don't have wifi access my only source could be internet pass-through
shazbot, i hate that providers are doing that now :/ luckily not for wind in canada...yet...
the only options available seem to be trying another kernel, or switching roms (which sucks cuz IC is the best out there imo)
although you could try to reinstall htc drivers and sync and give it another shot

[Q] Wifi problem on sense 3.5 roms

I have got a problem where on sense 3.5 I cannot connect to a wifi network that is hidden. I put the correct details in but it doesn't connect. It will connect to other wifi networks fine.
It is not a problem with any other type of roms just sense 3.5 - I have tried every 3.5 rom for desire s and get the same problem.
Any ideas on this
i used to have that problem. i just change my laptop ip and voila it connect.
I don't see this problem. I using ednymion 3.3
From Russia with love by my HTC Desire S
tried changing the radio yesterday to see if that helped but still get the same problem, it won't connect to a hidden wifi network. It's a hidden wifi one at work and I don't have access to change any settings on there, need to be able to connect to it as I get a poor phone signal and rely on the wifi.
Seems strange that it only happens on all sense 3.5 roms. - the sense 3.0, MIUI and ICS roms can connect to it fine.
If you have change your radio, and if it doesn't work, try this app: Wifi manager app
What is the channel of your wifi network ?
Install Wifi manager.
And on settings, check 2.4 GHZ Channel, and complete (14)
and check 5GHz channels too.
Reboot after.
And try to found your wifi network.
It's an solution.

finally got round to trying this but I am not sure what channel the wi-fi network is on. It is a hidden one that I am not supposed to know is there so I cannot really ask about it, all I know is the SSID and the PW. Phone reception at work is very poor so I rely on the wi-fi.
I checked all the channels like you said but still cannot get this to connect to the wi-fi.
Tried 3 different radio's and flashed a clean install of a sense 3.5 rom and still get this problem.
Don't mind as I can connect to it fine using MIUI , I'm just curious why it doesn't work on 3.5 sense.
Thanks for the advice though
No problem.
That's strange your problem, cos I'm on Sense 3.5 since the beginning, and I haven't got any issues with Wifi network.
But If you have find a solution, it's good for you

[Q][NS4G][D720][CM9] Wifi connection issues

I am running the latest version of the ROM found here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1519138
I am having basic issues connecting at home; once connected I am fine but sometimes if I leave and come back I can't connect at all. Rebooting had no effect. It will just sit there and do nothing even if I try forcing it to connect or forgetting the network and resubmitting the needed information.
It is worth noting that while running stock 4.0.4 before I flashed the rom I had little to no troubles with wifi; it even handled EAP like a champ (I have yet to test it on EAP with this rom).
Any/all help is appreciated...thanks!
**EDIT** I believe the problem may have something to do with the fact that I am running the latest CM9 nightly on my HP Touchpad, as only one device seems to be able to connect at a time, although I know that they both can and have connected simultaneously. The device that doesn't connect seems to have issues obtaining an IP Address from the router.

need a rom that has full Bluetooth Stacks (for my onlive controller and no data drops

like the title says I need full HID support and no dropping of data.. im getting sick of this happening when i switch to wifi on opensensation
i tried MIUI and my controller wouldnt connect fully to the rom..
is there anything even a full bluetooth stacked sense rom or somthing??
went with an AOKP rom but still having issue with data.. can someone get me instructions to flash a RIL and radio??

[Wifi Tethering] Sense vs AOSP roms

hello,
When I am on a sense rom (currently I am using the Venom rom 4.1.1, sense 4+), I can use any radio and wifi tether with the phone screen off.
When I wifi tether on an AOSP rom (I tried Blackbean 6 and blackbean 7), the internet would not work when the phone screen turns off. (I would still stay connected to the tethered wifi network, but there's no internet connection). The only exception is using radio 0.16, which allows the internet to work even when the screen is off, but it only works partially. half of the time the phone's connection would get stuck in 3g instead of H; there would then be no internet connection, and the data network will just reset. Again, the network only gets stuck in 3g and reset when the screen is off.
As much as I love AOSP roms, I can't live without tethering. Anyone has a solution to this? is there something wrong with the radio configuration in AOSP roms for the one S?
