(resolved) Boot Animation tester needed. - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I fixed it...
i must have had a corrupt image.
I make the boot animations used in Beanstown's "jelly beans" rom. I have been working on a new one but I keep getting a white flash between each loop of the animation. I have had this problem before and couldn't track it down.
If someone could please download and test this animation, that would be great.
download
place this in data/local
or system media (change permissions to match the old one)
Thanks

I gave it a shot, and it works fine but I do get the white flashes that you spoke of.

Boot Animations

Does anyone have the zip files for any of the "havoc" boot animations. Everytime I try to download one from the "huge collections of boot animations" the "WARNING" logo comes up and it doesn't allow for any downloading.
I am looking for the "blue Havoc" specifically but any of the havocs will work. Thanks in advance.
It's because MegaUpload got shut down. JaeKar MIGHT still have it, but I assume he's working on reupping.

Never mind wrong link.

Corrupted Samsung Logo?

So i booted up my phone today (running tweakstock v1.4) and the samsung logo is missing part of the "A".
Has anyone had this problem before? It just annoys me everytime I boot up the phone....
Lol... Sorry that is a new one... You could extract the image from another rom and just paste it in the right folder to fix it. It sounds more like you have something covering the a more than the a being deformed
Charged up post!
I thought the white Samsung logo before the boot animation was cooked into the phone and can't be modified.

You should be able to do it, as I've seen people modify the motorola logo. However, I think it is below the ROM level.
Try to reflash either just param.lfs or a full stock ROM.

How do I fix my boot animation?

Okay. So I used the trickdroid tweaks.zip to change my boot animation. I am using the old school android animation. Upon trying to change it back I realized it was stuck. Phone boots up fine but I am unable to change my animation. I tried bootanimation changer.apk,Rom toolbox.apk. these left me with no animation at all. So I restored my Rom backup to go back to square one. I tried the custom animations cwm flasher by torxx. But still no luck. Root browsed to find the animation and delete. But I could not find the right file nor am I totally sure what I'm looking for. I checked system/ customize/ resources to find my custom HTC bootup one.zip. replaced it again. Still. The same animation is haunting me. Help?

Black Screen after I modify bootanimation

Hi,
I am using Nexus 5(rooted). I was trying to customize a boot animate myself. However, it shows nothing after I modified it.
For now, it will show only black screen after the White Google logo with unlock.
I don't know how to fix phone now, screen show nothing. System should be fine. the screen lock is working because I hear the screen lock sound, and I can unlock it. I have the original bootanimation.zip. I can get in the MTP drive when I connect it to my computer . However, I remember the USB debugging mode is off. Is there any way to fix it through computer? Bootloader is working on phone
Thanks
If you have custom recovery, boot into it and adb push
Bootanimation black is common if image is incorrect bit depth. Never heard of it making the rom black too. How long have you left it on for to check?

Would you mind tell me more how to do it? Thanks a lot. I just start to use android =(.
I can get in recovery mode, but there is nothing in "restore" section.
I tried to use "wipe" --> "advanced wipe" -->"system" to fix it on fastboot boarder. And, now it stucks at White Google logo. Not even get in to system now.. Help :crying:

You have no OS now you wiped system, either push or sideload a custom rom or flash the stock image.

Oke, glad you fixed it :good:
Bit depth is important when making your own boot images. I don't know if it's changed since donut 1.6 but back then you could not compress the zip either or you would end up with a solid black animation.
If you use 7zip you set compression level to store

[Tutorial] [Stock Android boot animation for custom ROMs]

OK guys so I discovered this cool thing by mistake and I thought I should share it! When the ROM boots without any bootanimation.zip file present you won't just get a blank screen, rather you will get a cool 'android' logo (animated text on black background) that glows and fades and glows and fades.
Tutorial:
1. Go to system/media directory
2. DELETE bootanimation.zip
3. Reboot to your awesome new boot animation!
I have tested this on many custom ROMs and this procedure WON'T bootloop your device or anything. It is guaranteed to be 100% safe.
Please comment/thank if it works for you.

That stock Android bootanimation has been there for ages. Saw it on my old Jelly Bean device from 2014.

its still cool af
Thread reopened.
Thanks for the tip, it's the ultimate minimalist yet good looking bootanimation.
Is this really worth a thread? ^^
If I flash a new custom rom and I don't like the bootanimation that's one of the first things when I setup the system. ^
