[Q] Integrate Google Voice messages into Call Log (Touchwiz roms)? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have had no luck in doing this. I have tried on Beans Rom and Clean Rom VZW. I thought it may have been working on the stock rom but I can't remember. Anyone have this working or able to get it working? When you check the box in google voice settings to integrate it doesn't work and it also breaks the google voice notifications. When you disable the checkbox you get google voice notifications but no integration in call log. This feature is so key and if someone was able to come up with a solution it would be very helpful.

I can't get any of them to work with the new plan which is a bummer cause I love visual voicemail. I can't get the my account app to recognize device. Hope they fix this soon!
Edit: You guys are right Google Voice is way better and transcribes the voice mails which is hella cool!
Try setting it up with WiFi off.
use the google voice voicemail its built in. its much better and it gives you a transcript of messages(it writes it out)

Are you sure it is asking you to "upgrade" and no "setup"? I had to call TMo and have them 'flip the switch', so to speak, on VVM.

I'll try giving them a call, just wasn't sure if it was compatible with the plan out right now or not.
try this
o enable the visual voicemail on T-Mobile, you need to do the following:
* Download the app and install it
* Call T-Mobile
* The rep can't add it automatically via the account features list -- it will error out
* The rep has to first manually update your IMEI number (of which you need to read from the back of your box)
* Then the rep has to wait for that to update (took several minutes)
* Then the rep has to go back to the features list and then add visual voicemail manually
* Try changing your phone from Unknown Device to MyTouch 3G at my.t-mobile.com and add the Visual Voicemail under Services
* If your voicemail is still being delivered the traditional way wait until you receive a text from T-Mobile (about 24 hours) stating that your account change has been updated, it will then work via the application

question about Google Voice
I just set up google Voice.
How do Is top it from routing duplicate incoming texts to both my regular message app, and google Voice
Go into your default messaging service and access the settings in the menu. Disable notifications, and you should only get notifications from Voice.
Errr... not sure if this is exactly what you were asking. You are getting texts from your google voice number on your normal phone number?

What's happening, is that all of my Google voice texts are also showing up in my regular message app. Because they're also beig sent to my regular mobile number
Sounds like something that is an issue with google voice. Probably should check the settings on that. Almost seems like there is a forwarding issue going on.
I figured it out here:

No and No For you to be notified of a new voicemail, you must have the Sprint_Core.apk installed, and you need the google voice app to access any voice messages.

I thought I saw a standalone voicemail app from another rom somewhere. I could be wrong though.
My fix however was to setup the phone to use Google Voice for all my phone voicemail, there are instructions on the Google Voice site for this. Then I setup google voice to email me the voicemail messages, I get an email with the text transcript and an audio file of the message. I do NOT have the android Google Voice app installed on my phone at all. It works like a charm this way with one less app I don't need installed and running.
I use google voice and do not use the app. I just have it set to send sms notifications for new voicemail, which also sends the transcribed text. If I want to listen to it, I just dial my google voice number and listen

[Q] Google Voice app setup help

Trying to enable Google Voice on my new M8 (running CM nightlies) for use with visual voicemail. However, when I do this, all SMS messages get sent with my Google Voice number and not my normal cell number. I figure I'm missing something but was hoping someone can point me in the right direction for setting up properly. Uninstalling the app resolves the issue immediately.
When I install the app, I'm given a settings page that I can't find after setup is complete, so I'm unable to go in and change those things. What the heck am I missing? I figure it's something stupid.

[Q] Possible to replace stock dialer with Hangouts Dialer?

With the recent release of the Hangouts Dialer, I finally decided to go all in with Google Voice for all my calls/texts.
I was successfully able to update my phone's settings so that any calls/texts coming in to my Google Voice number go into the new Hangouts Dialer app. However, if someone calls my regular T-Mobile number, the stock dialer is still used to receive the call. My question is, has anyone figured out how to use the Hangouts Dialer with their carrier phone number? And if you have figured this out, is it as simple as disabling the stock dialer to ensure it never intercepts any calls?
Removing the stock dialler will prevent the phone booting. I'm not sure at what point in the boot process package manager "freezes" apps but I would suggest disabling the dialer is a really bad idea.
As for the rest of your question, not sure.

Thanks for the heads up. After digging around, it looks like my best current solution is just to make sure everyone I stay in contact with uses my GV number instead. Any calls/texts coming in through my T-Mobile number will just continue to go through the stock dialer.

when I 1st installed the hangouts dialer I wanted the same, & wonder why the hangouts dialer code simply couldn't be baked into the native one (maybe in L?)
*BUT* I found in the mean time -
Its the stock phone dialer app.
Keep awake 7h22m
Included packages
*com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel*
SIM toolkit

even with gv, carrier number integration, why we (on sprint) get the double ringing on incoming calls, unless the sprint sim is removed, or cellular data is turned off..
look at what *com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel* is tied to..

[Q] Google Voice and Android 5.0 Lollipop?

How does Google Voice work with Lollipop? I use my Google Voice number as my primary number, and nobody has my actual number on my SIM card. I use Google Voice for all inbound and oubound calls. I have NOT migrated over to Hangouts yet, because the Hangouts dialer can't be answered without unlocking the phone, etc. What happens to Google Voice when you go to Lollipop? My phone got the notification to update, but I am worried about breaking my call functionality.
Thank you in advance.
Looks like Lollipop can still use the Google Voice app and everything appears to work the same as before.
