Hi guys,
The problem is that when I write sms in cyrilic the recipient receinves an empty message. In my Galaxy S3 when I enter in messages and go to settings there is "Input mode setting" where I can change it to Unicode. But I can't find such setting in the Motorola Razr HD. Is it somewhere else or it is different setting?
Regards.

u reflash an official rom its fix the problem.
You have probably disabled the threaded sms option. I can't remember the key right now but you can search this forum to see how you can disable/enable threaded sms and edit the registry key with your prefered registry editor. HTH
Found this somewhere in the Forum:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings\OEM\SMSInboxThreadingDisabled
DWORD
value set to 1.
You have to create the OEM folder yourself but apart from that it seems to work okay.
My signal now works

I have the same problem like garybusch. When the threaded sms option is enabled, the incoming message sound works. But in the threaded sms view you can't see how many signs you already wrote. In Germany you have to pay for another sms, after 160 signs.
So i would like to have the old view, where i can see the number of signs.
Seems like there is no way to enable the sound for an incoming sms in this view, right?
I don't have my wizard in hand right now.
Check this out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=382548 hopefully it will work.
Thank you so much scubadiver and XL3N7! The sounds now working for me
Hi guys,
Does anybody know if is possible to find out hidden SMS, I mean when somebody sent you such kind of message and you see actually nothing, but you can hear the sound that you did received an SMS.
Thanks.
it doesn't appear in your inbox?
Hello,
I just bought motorola a3100, and I have a problem regarding sending sms.
Everything works fine, I can call everybody, but I cant send SMS messages. If I get to inbox - tools - options, and under "tap an account to change settings" messages has (*) symbol, and I can't change options in messages (service center number)
so please, is it possible to change default value of service number from registry, or any other way?
thank you very much

I had this experienced with three different JB roms today. I can send mms (pics) but I can't send plain text messages.
I get the "message not sent" error.
I did a complete wipe, etc. before installing each rom. Any suggestions?

Does this happen with all text messages, or only ones that go really long?
Have you checked to make sure your APN settings are correct?

Yeah, I tried and no luck.....I am dumbfounded.
Ive been getting a weird message.. something like
"Android services has noticed you are sending a large number of SMS messages. Do you want to continue" Then it has 2 options..
Allow or Deny..
After it pops up the first time, it comes back after every 2 or 3 messages sent..
Its powered by Jellybeaned AOKP!
I found out some of the ported ROMs removed the message center option entirely under "Messaging" -> Option key -> "Settings". There should be a "Message Center" option which you should set to +13123149810. Since it's been removed from a couple ROMs sending SMS messages will not work. Anyone know of a ROM that still has this option?

Scratch that I found out that from ICS and up they got rid of that option and replaced it with SMS Center which you can get to by opening the phone dialer and typing in *#*#4636#*#* and selecting -> Phone info.
Go to google and search for your SMS center number which should be based on the carrier you have.
Next, go to twit88.com/home/utility/sms-pdu-encode-decode
Scroll down to where you see SMSC, Receiver, and Alphabet size.
Put in the entire SMSC number, including the + sign into the box, leave receiver blank, change the Alphabet size to 8, and delete whatever is in the message box under Alphabet and hit Convert.
Now, on your phone go to the Phone info menu described above and scroll to the bottom and find the SMSC field.
Enter the first 16 numbers into that field and hit update.
Reboot your phone and you can now send SMS.
This fix is for people who have the proper modems flashed on there phones and can still receive texts but not send them.
