When I read a text message in TF3D preview, it automatically clears the notification. Is there a work around to also do this with the mail preview? Most of my emails are short but after reading the preview, I still have to go into the messaging inbox, select each message and then OK back out to TF3D.
Go into Inbox, then Menu/Select Messages/Several. Select the unread ones, hold the stylus on one and select Mark as Read.
Use this - it works on mine. Disable Touch Flo on your Start/Settings/Today/Items, then use Total Commander and move/replace the manila file in your Windows folder, then re-start Touch Flo and this should cure this bug.

Can you please explain what this actually does and what version of sense it's for? I would very much like to be able to mark an email as read without having to actually pull up the email. Either a menu option during preview, a new button or just the fact that it was previewed would work for me.
BTW (to the original poster), I use S2U2 and it allows you to preview emails while locked and mark them as read.

This doesn't mark an email as read without having to actually pull up the email. What it does is exactly what WMGuy wanted. It clears the envelope in the taskbar without having to open the email in WM. This manila file works with touch flo 2.0. I'm not sure if it will work with 2.1, 2.5 or 2.6. The only thing I can suggest is that you back up the manila file from your Windows folder first and then try....
With regard to your request to be able to mark an email as read, you are lucky you get a preview in the first place - if you use Blackberry to get your emails, you don't get a preview! It gives you the sender and subject but just says "click to open message"!!!! So I'm sorry, but I can't help with your question kravguy. I would actually like something for this too. With the option to delete it as well.

I have searched on manila 2.5 and this file doesn't exist in windows folder so maybe this is only for manila 2.1.

I don't know about 2.1 as I have 2.0. Perhaps it doesn't exist but should do???

You mean place the file there even if it doesn't exist and see what's happen???

EDIT: doesn't do anything!! So for manila 2.5 we must find other way to clear notification in tab mail on preview.
I really want a solution for this because in most cases the preview is enough for me so why enter the inbox to mark as read??
Well I've been in a flashing marathon for a few days. I'll gladly go back to 2.0 for this reason alone. 2.5 is nice but kinda busy and slow for me anyway.
So just to clarify mitsi, when you get an email, you slide to the email tab, read the preview and then the notification clears automatically from the envelope (after applying the file)?

Yes, that's right. If you're going to flash a 2.0 rom instead, why not just try this manila to see if it works on your 2.5 first? I'd be interested to know. I prefer 2.0 to 2.1/2.5 anyway because I want at least 4 appointments showing on my today screen even if they are up to a month in advance....

You're right, Zimaia edited his post and I didn't notice it.
I'm using the HTC Stock Rom 1.39.405.2 (47382) with Manila 2.0.37889.1. It works fine for me.
I'm kinda surprised that this isn't a bigger issue or that HTC didn't think to add a little more functionality in the email preview tab. 2 (what seems to be easy) functions (delete and mark as read)... there's a reply (to all which is another frustrating thing to me) but nothing else? My main problem is this, I get some emails in, and want to delete some and keep some. Well, since I cant do that from the preview, I have to go to the inbox. Problem with that though is that I have no way of scrolling through them to delete here and there (maybe I'm missing something here). I can pop up the menu and click on the option to select multiple messages, but that's not really what I want. I want to do something like, select the fourth message in the list (without opening it), delete it, then select the 6th, etc. I can't seem to get the zoombar to work.
If I'm understanding you correctly, to delete the 4th message in the list without opening it, just tap and hold on the message and a context menu will pop up with delete as an option.
Well I tried it with 2.1 and it was a no go also. So I can verify that 2.1 and 2.5 don't work. I even found the exact file I was supposed to be replacing so I was excited. But all it did was shrink down the size of the preview folder. Message notification stays.
Hopefully a solution will come to this someday soon.

I tried s2u2. I have all Lock System Notfications on. When I preview the message on the lock screen: A) I can't seem to figure out how to mark them as read without going into messaging and B) I can't figure out how to browse through all of the previews (ie if I have more than 1 new email).
What am I doing wrong?

When the preview comes up, tap and hold on the message till it goes away. It should mark it as read (if you have that turned on in the settings) and then the next preview should come up.

What about tapping and holding the message you want to delete?
i would also like to be able to have preview mark an item read, like outlook has the opttion after X seconds to mark an item read when using the preview pane

Difficult or impossible? Without the bottom row, I cannot bring up the channel panel to change channels. Is there a way to change channels at all without that panel?

Yes... Program the on screen shortcut keys...
thats how i'm using it... but I cannot go into full screen. there simply is no way to click on it on the bottom bar.

The only way I can get into full screen is to open the keyboard. Of course that's not totally practical having to have my keyboard open all the time for full screen. Have you tried something like Gyrator 2 to maybe see if when Gyrator puts it into landscape, the fullscreen activates?
I have a Touch Pro 2 BTW.

The keyboard will do the remote control tasks for you. I believe the keystrokes are the same as for the keyboard on the Desktop version:
The Numbers type numbers
G is Guide
Up and Down Arrows change channels.
X is exit, etc. I don't know where to get a full list.
Also, I set Slingplayer to Auto-Rotate using G-Config. The Window Class name is SlingClient. This gets me to full screen without opening the keyboard.
That's about the only way I can make it so I can use it.
If anybody wants the files in the program's folder I can send them. Just PM me.

Hmm, strange. I added Slingplayer to the Whitelist for autorotate, using G-Config and it's not rotating. I reboot and looked at the registry and can see it there(SlingClient), but Slingplayer just won't rotate unless I open the keyboard.

Hmm, weird, it stopped working for me as well. To be honest, I can't remember when it stopped, but it used to work. Perhaps it's the standard 6.5 builds that do it.
Well, this makes it even more important to fix this issue. I have submitted a support request to Slingbox, so we'll see what they have to say.

I have a Samsung Intrepid, I tried installing and customizing with the SPB Mobile Shell 3.5.5 but no luck. The toolbar was on the right side and my pictures wouldnt fit on the screen as well.
I was curious to if anyone had any other custom roms for Windows 6.5 on a Samsung Intrepid worth trying out??????????????

AR Zoo works fine on my HD2 (rom Dutty 1.4), it doesn't lag that much.
My video settings are :

Live video settings :
- Swizzle columns is UNCHECKED
- Flip vertically is CHECKED
- Rotate video by 90°

Here, I uploaded a video of me trying it, I had the same problem you did, but after a while of not moving and having one of those markers in the center, it worked!
On mine HD2 it is not working - when opening nothing happens. (only if I tap on settings and choose "no", then it will make a picture - but nothing else)
The mode is video and photo. What to do? I eagerly want to use it :---)
not working on miri's rom v10. just get a corrupted image over the first couple of screen lines.

Rotage by 90 deg
otherwise I get sick trying to find those markers I spread over the tabel ...

I just had a crazy idea, what about an augmented reality tattoo
say for example a dragon tattoo incorporating the augmented reality symbol for a dragon that would give an amazing 3D dragon model when pictured or filmed with an AR device

Try using 6.5 rom. It works on HTC original 1.66 and 1.72 version.

When I try it´s impossible and if I go to settings and try to "click" in position it give me an error message that says: "Can´t open AGPSettings"
you don't have to use My Location. Just enter another city for updating the weather.
I enter another city, but in the clock screen apears under the clock "my ubication" and not the city that I selected in the wether screen
So I can´t look the weather in the main screen with the clock and the cool animation I have to go to the right untirl the weather screen and then select my city

i have the same problem ... there is no chance to place programs ...
I solved with hard reset of the device. I had installed the previous version of manila (1.3 ...) that created problems with the wifi (which was tourned-on).
some feedback.
I've installed it correctly, but have few remarks...
- Battery disappears from the title bar. (is there a solution or a widget to show teh battery?)
- Sometimes crashes with calls log.
- in the pictures tab (after fixing the error bug) i can't click/chose any of the photos, even can't activate the Camera from this screen.
- Also Albums are not working.
- in the settings tab, commManger and email setup are not working.
- Youtube link in the browser's tab is not working
this is all what i noticed so far...
I've switched to 2.5 because this one is allways shutting down after 4/5 seconds without doing nothing
I've managed to deactivate all of the tabs and played with the configs within that time... but it was a no go...

After an hard reset
i've installed sdkcerts, net 3.5, netcfg (to make device use 3.5 instead of 2.5), audio fixes, album searcher...
is there something that i have missed or i have to do in particular
And now, due to the versions that are out
between this one and 2.5 wich one is the most stable and bug less
i'm on the 2.5 very fast and smooth... But it only works more as info and eye candy (contacts and answering messages and calls doesn't work)

Is like an ftp site with several files to install Sense 2.1 in our TG01. Take a look and maybe you can use them to solve some bugs.
Edit: Because of I'm a new user, I can't post the link. However I can tell you where you can find it. In the "TG01 ROM Development" forum, the post named "Need any Toshiba TG01 rom", look at the entry #262 in the 27th page.

anyone figure out issue with calling from a contact? I have this installed on i920 w/ stock rom and whenever I select a contact and try calling it would restart touchflo.... Also my location didn't work.

There is just one thing that I don't like at all ... but I don't know if it depends from InsertCoin or not.
I have an old Desire X with Sens 4.1+ and the HTC browser allows to enter a "read mode" that is useful for reading newspaper's articles ! When you click a little square icon near the web address (see photos in attachment), the page is re-opened in a "read mode", without banners, colors or pop-up, but just a clean text page ! ... like word or PDF texte.
I've downloaded also the last HTC browser .apk but there no way to find this option...
Does anybody know how to find/install this future ?

For now I'm having android 5.1 (cm12.1) but as I can recall from IC, there was no reader mode on default browser But as an alternative, there's a reader mode on chrome browser which is hidden under chrome flags :good: Here's how to enable it:
1. Open Chrome (make sure you're running the latest version) and type chrome://flags in the address bar. Press Go.
2. Head to Menu > Find on Page and search for "Enable Reader Mode Toolbar Icon". Click the Enable link under that setting.
3. Relaunch Chrome when prompted.

I don't understand why HTC has not implemented this future in Sense 6. I've taken a look to HTC site and "read mode" is only for few old models, some Desires and One V. I think the stock ROM of One mini doesn't have this option, it's not a bug of IC.
Anyway, I've to say that HTC browser, in my device, it is more smooth and the text re-size is nice, Chrome is faster but not as fluent as HTC...
In the other hand Chrome has "read mode" and you can also modify the text size !

since I'm using Chrome on android 5.1 I don't have the symbols next to the adress bar :/ stupid beautiful lollipop
... about video, the problem was Flash player.
I've downloaded Dolphin Browser, it's nice, with text reflow, reading mode and Flash player... all I had in 4 years old HTC browser
