[Q] How to check whether CWM 5 by tj_styles is installed properly ?

How to check whether CWM 5 by tj_styles is installed properly ?
and how to flash a rom ( Creedz rom with this ?)
What i did :

on my NOT YET ROOTED DDKQ5 GB 2.3.4

plss help

if u want to check whether cwm is working properly or nt..boot in recovery mode and..see that u not getting errors like- error mounting system, error mounting cache etc etc...
and if u want to install custom roms..copy the zip in the root of Sd card and boot into recovery mod...wipe data..then select install zip from sd card..the select the rom or the zip file..flash it...again wipe data....then finally reboot ur phone

Hello guys I recently tried many recovery.img on Funbook pro and bricked it! but finally found 1 working CWM of Micromax funbook p300 that works on our tab too..!!

1. Data Connection on your Tablet. (via WIFI)
2. An archieve supported file manager. Eg ES File Explorer.
3. A Usable and working mind.
Steps -
1. Download the file from the link below. ( PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE FLASHING)
2. Extract the file to the root of your "internal sd card" and you will get 2 file First "Novotools_v1.0" and the Second "recovery.img".
3. Install the app Novotools_v1.0.
4. Run Novotools and you will see and option Flash Recovery
5. Click it and the recovey will be flashed onto your phone.
6. Reboot in recovery with the help of the application.
7. Now you have fully functional CWM recovery. ( PLEASE READ BELOW BEFORE FLASHING )
BUT WAIT ARE U STUCK ON MMX LOGO? MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE STOCK BACKUP GIVEN BELOW PLACE IT YOUR SD CARD BEFORE FLASHING CWM UNDER external sd card ie; ext sd clockworkmod\backup\
1) AFTER INSTALLING RECOVERY

Gautam, You should provide the link and tutorial of Livesuit with Chinese firmware in case of brick. so testers can take risk of trying this..
and as i know you and joby both are successfully installed CWM from Chinese ROM aren't you?
so as a suggestion please include that tutorial in this post just in case..

Will do buddy....!! New method is tried by one member at facebook so i think its working but still will create it!

I have rooted my P500 by 'unlock root' methoed. can I install this CWM following above procedure. I have read in some post here, following installation method of P300, may result in some brick for P500. thanks in advance.

Have u installed any custom rom? which ? There in only one
But if you simply rooted it nothing else! you are already on stock rom!

Thanks. there are 2 models of funbook p300 and p500. most of the posts are for p300 since p500 is relatively new. As you said it is stock rom but after rooting and with the help of romtoolbox pro, I have removed most of the applications including educative lessions. therefore I wish to have a device as it was given at the showroom.. I hope you got my point.

Ohk...Currently we dont have full stock rom! but apps can be recovered! Just install CWM and restore backup provided by me!

i bricked my device then recovered it by using livesuit nd insallin de chinese firmware....nd then recovered the stock ROM....nw my wifi driver is not working....some one pls give me a stock FIRMWARE of Micromax funbook Pro....or some other compatible firmware.....

not working for me ! i downloaded the .zip file and extracted it in sd card(not externel i m talking about internet 8 gb) via pc aand i saw two files novotools.apk and recovery.img and i installed the apk and den clicked on flash recovery and after clicking on flash recovery below came flash recovery and nothing happened den i thought i must check and den clicked on reboot to recovery den also nothing happened ! so i switched off my tab and den went o recovery manually der it was android system recovery ! plzz help me !

i am stuck at funbook logo. please help. now it doesn't move further. please tell me the solutions for it!

did this stock backup files must always be there or I can delete this after installation of new rom

[Q] showing error 110 while updating & downloading

hi i've flashed ultimategalaxy v2 rom & before that i've flashed miui v5 rom for my mmx a110. both r working good but when trying to download or update it is showing "Unknown error during application install "-110". i've tried as u said like settings>applications> manage applications,, but i'm not getting manage applications window instead all the apps r coming on hitting applications, so what to do, can any one help me pls,

Try Clearing Cache.

App not installing is caused due to ur ramdisk files which also cause ur -110 playstore error.to solve that u need to first flash a******u 3.4.0 kernel (help ur self) and install the apps .now again reboot into recovery and flash d kernel u want.Voila.... :beer:

hi bro thanks for d help, but i didn't get what is meant for a******u 3.4.0 kernel. is it d kernel 3.4.0 itself or something else. even d rom i've installed is showing kernel no. 3.4.0, actually i've tried to flash a kernel "counterfeit.springV1.4" which means a kernel 4.2.2 for all. somebody suggested me to do this so i tried but no use. so pls help me what kernel i've to flash

Bro i meant the andiroxu"s kernel.its under invenstigation so it is considered to an warez .so just flash thunderzap and ur ready to roll after booting try installing apps then if u want u can flash ur custom kernel

thank u bro for giving me this andiroxu"s kernel advice, it worked for my mmx a110 on which i've flashed miui v3, probably for fixing errors on installations & updates, & to open camera, messages the ULTIMATE ANSWER IS < ANDIROXU"S > & the process is
App Installation Error Solve Procedure with latest Kernel
Follow below steps
1.Take A Backup First {Recommended}
2. Reboot Into Recovery.
3. Wipe Data > Wipe Cache> Wipe Dalvik Cache > Fix Permissions.
4. Flash Any 4.2.x ROM (Flash Ultimate Galaxy) (Don't Reboot).
5. Flash Xtreme-Punch-Kernel-v1-4.2.x-3.4.67-Public (Reboot will be done Automatically).
6. Complete Setup, install few Apps.
7. Reboot to CWM recovery.
8. Clear Cache, Clear Dalvik Cache, Fix Permission (Use COT/PhilZ Recovery) (Don't Reboot).
9. Flash Xtreme-Boost-v2-4.2.x-3.4.69-rc1 Kernel.
10. Reboot.
once again go to recovery mode & flash the "supersu ultimate galaxy.zip" file to continue ur root access. otherwise ur rooting access will be gone. the link was given below

110 error happende for me due to error in kernel...just flash latest version 3.4.70 or above (3.4.74-2) will solve this problem
no need to flash old 3.4.67 anymore....

hi fnds mine is mmx a110. i've flashed ultimate galaxy v2 custom rom & it is working nicely. but i did a wrong experiment. to increase my internal memory i've flashed Skin1980-GT-S5360 CWM . that's it. from then what ever i want to do in recovery mode, i'm getting messages like this.
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
i didn't take any backup. but i've all the roms in my computer.
even my phone is not switching on. it simply stuck on pink miui screen:crying:, bcoz i've flashed miui5 before ultimate galaxy v2.
so pls help me to get rid of this.

Hi im currently downloading your creation, i found 2 links, first is the one in mega and its around 400mb and another in google drive and its around 900mb.
Regarding the one in mega, this is the one that i need to copy in my twrp folder and then restore using twrp?
How about the one in google drive, is this flashable using twrp and install?

not working on SM-G355HXXU0AOB1......also the tutorial, nothing is showing up after clicking the restore button in twrp recovery...i followed your instruction like after extracting the downloaded zipfile to put it inside the twrp folder under sd card storage....
i tried flashing your file and was stucked up to boot animation only...im also confused because you have 2 different files posted..one in mega which is around 400 mb and the other one in dropbox is 900 plus mb..both are not working ...
