Maximize bass on TF101 - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I used to have a Galaxy S2 before. There, I flashed this thing called "Awesome Beats" which boosted the bass HEAVILY. I loved it. Is there anything like that for our TF101?

Try this if custom rom and rooted as beats audio will brick our device til I find a way around it

I already had that. But sure I'll wait to see if anything happens.

you could try installing DSP Manager apk that Cyanogenmod9/10 uses. It has bass boost and an equalizer.

There's a few apps out there, DSP Manager and MusicFX but I haven't found anything like Voodoo sound for the Galaxy S, which is SICK. We gotta convince supercurio to get an Inspire
Like that would be hard..XD

Ok thanks ill try dsp, does it work with any kernel

You wouldn't have a link to dsp I searched xda and the two dsp zip files I found keep aborting in recovery I don't know if its because I have recovery 3.0

you need a supported kernel like the one in cyanogen 7 to use the DSP Manager app. DSP comes in cyan 7 ROM anyway...
OP did you try enabling the SRS function in audio? i heard it increases the volume.
also if any 2.3 ROMs are out there, a new API lets us now tap in to the volume so this would probably work on any 2.3 ROM:

DSPManager

Has anybody tried getting DSPManager going on a Transformer? It's included with some phone roms and I love it. Requires root, and I think installing it can be a little complex, so maybe this would be more suited for the Development section. Feel free to move it.

Anybody???
Would love to see it too

I thought about it but all I really wanted was a volume booster and got that from Volume+
EEE Pad Transformer sent this
here it is from my Nexus S haven't had a chance to use it on my pad yet but let me know
Edit: its works perfectly and sounds amazing, moderate bass boost with equalizer custom set to 5 all across
Works perfectly, no root required. Thanks a billion!

Thaaaaaaannnnkkkkkk you!
Comparing the tablet to the (rooted) Evo with DSP was horrible. No more tinny music through my Ultimate Ears.
Hey Guys, want to try this, but I remember with my Desire, there was also an accompaning file named something like "lbaudioflinger.so" that went in /system/lib.
Reports of success above are good though, so I'll prolly just Nandroid an try it out. Just wanted to verify that we're not missing anything.
Thx for posting this too!

[MOD][updated]DSP Manager as replacement of beats audio[Sense 4.0]now download works!

For those who don't like the beats working in their device instead of DSP Manager then you can flash the file below.
Warning you will lose beats, and the following libs will no longer function ##libbeatbas.so, ###libsrsfx.so
Note: It does not matter what kernel you use eg. bricked or anthrax as the file related only to the ROM
WHATS WORKING:
Dynamic Range compression
EXTREME BASS Settings - prepare to be blown away
Equalizer
Virtual ROOM
Requirements:
0. SENSE 4 ROM and AOSP ROMS, SENSE3.6(theres workaround just keep reading below)
1. Google Play Music - included in zips - Comptable in the HTC lockscreen player
2. DSP Manager - included in zips
3. Musicfx comes in goole music - remove this as it will override settings in DSP
4. High end Headphones with deep bass - Frequency response 6-22k khz or must be closer range fail to do so will have a worse effect ordinary headphones cannot handle extreme bass. eg sennheiser mxl60 works better in audio beats.
Now try with your originale beats headphones comes in the package and you will feel the difference.
NO EFFECT ON SENSE4 Music player
NOT COMPATIBLE ON SENSE 3.6
the audio_effects.conf will f### up the ext.jar, widget.jar, then you will wrestle with FC on HTC music, and HTC video otherwise you dont need them then you can use this, try AOSP player with shinzlon theme and remove them instead
TRICKING THE BEATS notification to appear while playing google music
played the htc music player until the beats notification appeared then closed it
and played google player then the beats notification still remains
tested on
ROM: ORDROID 2.0.5
Device: HTC sensation XE
XE beats headphones come in package
Sennheiser hd 201
If you dont like just flashed the returntobeats.zip, also if you tried to flashed this in sense3.6 or AOSP roms
Credits goes to kristofpetho for working libcyanogen.so on AOSP roms, he might retired but his legacy moves on
Thanks a lot
But I can't download, it says file damaged, maybe because the space between "no" and "beats" try to remove it please, thx

Yes it will work but the rest of lib like beats and srs will not work it will exclusively activate only libcyonogen.so. also i will doubt the revert to beats will be similar to that ROM just back up your audio_effects.conf in system/etc/audio_effects.conf if anything goes wrong
Can both beats and eq work together??? I think I am using them both in my old HTC desire...

and now restoring the system
works with venom 1.3.5 ? anyone pls confirm it..

[Q] Beats Audio Or Lack of...

Before the latest JellyBean HyDRO update I had Beats Audio installed however after this update, I have not seen it in action. The first time i installed it, it ran in the notification bar, however now, I wonder if its even in action. I also use the program, Volume+ which seems to take over Musix FX and give me FC with the Apollo Player. I also tinker with Poweramp.
Has anyone tried the AwesomeBeats Version 3 (only for CM9 i believe...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1732763) That seemed to work pretty well.
Basically im in need of some audio gurus who can get the best audio experience with thie TF300T. ANy ideas or advice to would be really appreciated.
Yes. I'm using awesome beats v3 on JB Hydro. Working well and all.
Give it a go.. just back up.

A quick glance in the market after Searching "Beats Audio" I found [Root] Beats Audio. It is compatible whether ot nor it works I could not tell you since I don't have it installed. Just might now though...
i just installed the root version and its ok but not as good as on my htc sensation xe, and im using the beats audio ear phones but if you pair it with volume + then your getting there if you tweak the eq on volume +

[Q] Do you hear any difference with Beats?

I've enabled everything and set the effects to their max settings but I can't hear any difference with Beats? This is thru the tablet's speakers and headphones and bluetooth.

I agree with you. I use the DSP manager instead because it will actually have an effect when you enable the compressions, bass booster ,etc. At first I thought you were talking about the headphones .

I'm going to uninstall Beats and use that thing you said.
Think it more so applies to using through headphones. When i use my headphones with it and alter the settings It's very much noticeable
