So I finally got my Ingress invitation.. can't play yet as I can't leave my house, BUT if anyone can give me a heads up on any tips or the pros and cons of playing, I would appreciate it! Just want some personal views of playing with none other than the Verizon S3!
btw- I am in East Texas (since the game deals with location)

Probably about...3 or 4 weeks ago at least! But I've read about people getting the invites within hours?? Who knows...

For anyone waiting for invites: there is no real average time. The first invite for me took 2-3 weeks. My second Google account took at least 6 weeks.

If you want to be able to level up quickly, make sure every one in your town isn't on the same side. I've been on a couple weeks, still lvl 1, I chose resistance, and so did every one within 20 miles....

Good thing I live in NYC. I'm a resistance and everyday there's always a battle going on. In the city u put up a portal and a few hours later it gets taken so I get to take it back the next day. Its really fun. I'm only on lvl4 right now. And I also have an extra code.

Well if you do post it on G+ post it here 10 minutes earlier, at least. There are hungry, hungry sharks over there on G+. I gave away a code the other day and it didn't last 1 minute. I put the #ingress and #ingressinvite hashtag, though, so that did it.

Yeah it's not worth it mate, I managed to get the apk myself but then it required an American number just to warn anyone else in the UK reading this

To be fair, it says nowhere in the app or signup process that it is US only (for US residents), so he would have no idea about this.

I've had 2 of my invites sign up. However, I still only have the original $5 I received for signing up myself. I even upgraded to gold. Don't get me wrong. I like this app. It will allow me to help out friends, family, or purchase things in general. I also appreciate the free $5.

as soon as i can save up some more money, i'll help you out thomas. i know this isn't for the device i'm on, but who knows, i might upgrade. and if anyone here for this device is wondering why i would do this, just ask erik and any other dev from the sgs4g forum. combined so far i've donated nearly $1,000 within 4-6 month's time and they're pretty generous donations. i'll let you know when though thomas.
