How to log all WiFi and bluetooth devices in the area - Android Apps and Games

I am in the security business and I found an app that can log all the Bluetooth and WiFi devices that have been in the area. This helps us track who has been in and out of the building and at what time (very big advantage). The app is called Radar Bluetooth WIFI detector and can be downloaded here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.colony.radarlite

[Q] Ignore one WIFI for position determination

Hi!
I'm using my SGS with wifi tethering to have internet with my transformer. The problem is that the wifi ssid from my sgs is tracked by google and typically the transformer thinks this net is at my home or at work. It shows a wrong static position, even if I'm hundreds of kilometers away of this point.
I like this wifi position determination but it seems that this mobile wifi ssid destroys the complete feature.
Is there any possibility to tell google/android that this wifi net isn't static and can't give position information?
Can I configure somehow the SGS to get a hidden wifi net which isn't used by google's position determination? Out of the box I think android does not support hidden wifis (tethering and client).
Hope there are some ideas...
thx
Why don't you change the ssid from your wifi tether?

Ähhhmmm...
That won't help since google will also use the new ssid for position determination after some time. thats the way google's position data works. they are logging ssids and mac from wifi nets and if someone has no gps these info can be taken to find the current location.
The problem is: If one wifi is moving with you, it can't display your position.

[Q] Q - wifi takes precedence over mobile network?

Hi, I'm new to android, but tech aware. Not sure if this is android or Sensation (I'm on XE with thanks to Mike1986).
I use WiFi a lot, but also wander. I tend to forget to turn off the WiFi when I leave work/home/pub - not top of my list!
Whilst I'm wandering I often try to look something up, when WiFi's scanning, and wait for ages.
Shouldn't the 'system' failover to phone data access if WiFi is not connected - or at least ask me for an action?
As I say, I'm new to this - apologies.
Thanks
yes, it should fail over to data if it is not connected to WIFI.
Correct. If you have wifi enabled, leave the area like to work that has no wifi, then yes mobile network takes over.
But I go one above and use Llama location profiles. Where depending where are based on the conditions you set, you can trigger actions using this app. The app is free in the market and is an invaluable tool for me when I am leaving work, heading to the car with my bt and gets connected because I set my condition to look for a bt device if I am no longer connected to my wifi at work.
Gotta love Android
Hmmm. That's not the behaviour I'm seeing. Just thought it was an irritation. Should failover be auto or is there settings (or apps) to control it? I like the concept of profiles ... But you've got to be more organised than I!

It's auto. Like my n1, whenever I am in range of a known wifi connection, the wifi will auto connect if wifi was left on from the prior location or out of range and back again, if that makes sense lol...
So if you go out and are out of wifi range, and you manually turn off wifi, then no wifi won't auto connect of course.
Yes, that all works fine - when I'm wandering in and out of wifi zones. My gripe/question is :
When I am out of wifi range, and wifi is on (scanning), should the phone fall back to the phone data connection? The behaviour I see is that connecting just hangs until I turn wifi off.
Thanks

MK809IV with Bluetooth GPS time issue

Hi guys, please suggest the direction to find an answer.
Use MK809IV in the Car pc project and everything looks good except initial time issue when there is no wifi connection to sync time (tethering is not always a solution here (no coverage or wife driving)).
I use one of the qstarz bluetooth GPS and Bluetooth GPS app to connect it to the system. The app shows on connect 1917 year every time but the month, date and time is correct.
The other app I use for navigation (igo) shows fix but always with 0 satellite in view.
The same GPS and the app on a couple of others android phones works well.

Network connections - graph of wi-fi connection time vs. mobile data time?

Not sure quite where to ask this, and searching for apps hasn't turned up exactly what I want. I just need something to provide an ongoing log (ideally with a graphical view too) of the times that my phone is properly connected to WiFi (and ideally to which SSID) and the times it is only connected to mobile data.
I think I'm getting intermittent dropouts on my home wi-fi on some devices, but I need to set up some logging over time to get more specific details. Just a nice coloured graph of wifi vs. mobile data connections over a week or two of testing would be perfect.
