Hi. I updated my NOTE to JB, using ODIN and know, then i go to software update, it wants to register device, but then i press confirm, it shows "PROCESSING FAILED". What to do??
There's really nothing u can do except press the "Later" option. You can't register because the CSC of your device is not the same as the software. I'd just wait for the official update for your region. Wish Samsung would hurry up.

Facing an odd issue, it appears in Kies and says the update to lollipop is available for the device (SM-N915G, XSA, Australia) the phone is unlocked, so it's not through a carrier and it was brought outright, when plugged into kies it says there's an update available, click update, nothing happens at all after proceeding with "Next" "Update" etc.
The update doesn't appear in Settings > About device > System update. What can I do?
(PS. Not a rooted device, not modded, no TWRP/CWM, not unlocked bootloader or anything, keeping 100% stock please.)
Hello everybody,
I usually find my answers in the specific phone related forums. But this time I'm stuck.
A friend of mine bought a Samsung Galaxy J7 (SM-J700F to be specific) in India. After using his phone there he came back home to Israel.
His phone didn't worked here for some reason and he went to a phone lab which flashed his ROM to stock Israel ROM.
They called him in the middle of the process and asked him what was his Google account thet he signed to while the first setup. Unfortunately, he cant remember his email address.
I took the phone to try bypassing the frp lock.
After a small search I realized I need an otg cable, which I bought.
I received the cable (1.5 mounths wait) and tried the otg cable method with no success.
After some experiments I successfully managed to open the settings menu. Pressed factory data reset and after a restart it stopped on recovery menu with the yellow message "dm-verity verification failed".
Well, this is annoying. I realized I need to flash the stock ROM again(Dated 01/16). So I did And the message dissapperd.
Back to the FRP lock issue. I did the process again and it didn't stopped in the recovery mode this time and I could see the Android logo with a little erasing.. Under it. Finally I thought.
I was wrong.
The FRP lock is still there! Dammit.
It is time to pull the big guns.
I thought I will flash the OLDER version of the stock ROM. Dated 09/2015 I Understand google updated the FRP lock protection on January 2016. Is the downgrade OK? I don't know if a downgrade is possible on Samsung phone.
And if you have an idea how to bypass this. Please share it.
Thank you so much!

I was accepted on the official Beta and installed Nougat on my G7
Due to some issues I did a hard reset and in the process seem to have been 'deregistered' from the Beta. Opening the Beta app shows a 'Register' link in the 'more' menu and pressing that says the Beta is fully subscribed; on the bottom of that screen there is a 'Register' link as opposed to 'Derisgister' that was originally there.
So it seems I am stuck on the version of A7 that is on the device- Software Update says I have the latest version.
Is there a way to re-enable the Beta registration as I was on it initially?
You need to flash latest BTU and if you registered before it should be okay because it's linked on your sammy account.
So after flashing and login you should receive a update.

Thanks Johnny, but the problem seems to be that I have become 'unregistered' so if I return to the Android 6 BTU I won't get the A7 update.
Think I'll just have to wait it out!
IF you flash manually via Odin without being able to register, do you get updates of the betas via OTA even if you aren't registered in the beta?

OI5??? That version was 9 updates ago from back in September of 2015. Have you been stuck on Lollipop then for 2 years?

Maybe time to update then? You've missed out on quite a lot of good updates(Marshmallow and soon to be Nougat). Why don't you want to use Odin btw? It's probably one of the best and easiest ways tools for updating your device firmware. It doesn't affect knox or your warranty or anything either if that's what you're worried about. It will get you quite unstuck from Lollipop too.
Anyhow, here is the most recent firmware version in case you do decide to use Odin:

Maybe your phone is rooted and that's the reason why you don't get ota updates. Flash latest firmware with odin, no other solution
I just selected software update to confirm and my phone does nothing also. I guess t-mobile is getting ready to send the big update to nougat. That's probably why it's not working. Give it a few days and try it again.

If your phone happens to be rooted or knox tripped you'll have to use odin to flash the update.
I don't know that everyone knows it or not but I really don't know about it

I have tried this method, but does not work for me!
Eid Mubarak!
Just tried this method, it does not work. I also cleared cache and data for the HiCare app and then set it up in the China region from scratch. Still says I have the latest system update.
