[Q] Problems to Move app to Sdcard and issues - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Guys, in this Thread [ROM][GT-P31XX][JB][4.2.1] CyanogenMod 10.1 official nightlies, i have some questions.
I have Galaxy Tab P 3110 Android 4.0.3, but in this topic i have flash new kernel? Not found any place that I would have to speak to the flash.
If yes, where can I find?
Another question: If i flash this custom Rom, the problem of move apps to sdcard will be resolved?
Thanks guys.
OBS: not have permission to post it that thread.
Sorry for my english.

Turns out that Jellybean removes the feature of moving apps to SD. Same with ICS.

I think Google determined its no longer needed or useful and most of their devices don;t have external SD cards. So there you go.

How to install PA on Galxy Note

Hi friends,
I'm "new" ('cause I'm newly register) in XDA, but I read this forum at least from 7-8 months.
My name is Nicolò, Nic --> SuperNic --> Sup3rN1c...
Nice to meet you!
I have a Galaxy Note with CheckROM 0.7 and I want to move to Paranoid Android.
The istruction says:
DON'T flash FROM ANY SAMSUNG ICS OR ROMS BASED ON SAMSUNG KERNELS (my CM9, AOSP, etc)
Click to collapse
My question is: is CheckROM based on Samsung Kernel?!
I think it is, but I'm not sure.
If it's based on stock kernel, must I flash another ROM and kernel first?
Which do you suggest me?
Thanks for all and best Regards.
Nic.

Now I'm sure to do right!

Thanks zacthespack,
I successfully flashed PA 0.5!
I've only 2 issue, I think, that nobody had (i searched in the main thread):
- Chrome stop when I try to go to "settings";
- default Message app stop when I enter a thread; I have imported SMS from a backup made with TitaniumBackup from CheckROM.
Thanks,
Nic.

Hi! But next time user search function of the forum.. or search google and add the last three brilliant letters XDA to your search... say "acer cyanogenmod a701 xda" see what the first result gives you..
Cool down...
I can use the forum search option and i know how to use google :victory:
I didnt know that i can use a ROM for the A701.
Wait, I didn't know that either. (And I've never heard of it TBH.) So are you saying that we can use an A700 ROM and flash it on the A510?
(P.S. OP, I suggesting this thread be moved to Q&A instead of Android Development.)
Heys guys! Sorry I didnt say that I was just showing an example how to search for custom rom's... Didnt see I was posting in the 510 thread!
Im cooled down I was just saying to use search as everyone else usually points to search.
But dont got bricking your 510 flashing them with 700 and 701's roms

No worries mate. And thanks for coming back and clarifying it. phew. :cyclops:
I don't think the A510's bootloader is fully cracked yet? I know the A511's isn't, and it's annoying, too!
id be happy with a full stock rom for my region, but even that isn't available!
Custom Rom
Hello,
Is anyone willing to work on a Android 4.2 Custom Rom?

How what? All you need is to unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery and then you could flash whatever ROM you want.

No there isn't a pure google based rom yet for the oneS . Your best option for now is the cyanogenmod 10 rom, which look very close to stock google.

To sum up what was mentioned...
No, there is not currently a pure, stock, AOSP rom for the 1S. Cyanogenmod 10 is the closest you can get, as it looks and operates the most like stock, however has many additional features (both visual and performance wise). Here is the link to download CM10 for our device http://get.cm/?device=ville .
Note: CM is releasing "nightlies" which means pretty much everyday an updated rom is released to fix or add features. As of right now, the rom works great, however there are some issues with the camera (video camera does not work properly, although there is a fix).
If you have not flashed a rom to your 1S yet, you will have to do quite a bit of research to get it done. This requires unlocking your bootloader through the HTCdev website, and downloading and installing several files before you can install a new rom. This guide can help you http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583427 .
Hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions you may have.
BTW, yes Q&A would have been the correct section, but don't sweat it. Brandonrz is apparently disturbed in some manner.

[Resolved] [Q] Flashing ROMs

This is going be a short one, just got a couple questions which i'm unsure about.
1) When flashing a ROM is it best to flash from the external SD Card or internal. I read some where its best from the internal as it runs better
2) If i want to flash, for example JellyBam v10.0.0 or the latest CM on my Samsung S3 i9300 which is running on 4.1.2, would i be able to do so or would i need to be on android 4.3, then flash it?
I'm sorry if my questions sound dumb

No question is dumb mate. But asking questions when you have the ability to find the answers is being plain dumb (I didn't mean you mate ).
Your answers:
1. What you heard is wrong. It doesn't make any difference at all.
2. No, that's not needed. You may flash any suppported ROM irrespective of what android version you are currently on.
