[Q] Using Atrix 2 on Prepaid with Data (Net 10) - Motorola Atrix 2

I want to use my Atrix 2 on Net 10's $25 per month plan (100 minutes, unlimited text/data). My Atrix 2 is unlocked. I currently use Tmobile prepaid but can not get data (if so, I believe it's only EDGE). Will I be able to use this phone on Net 10 or is there a better prepaid. carrier for the Atrix 2.

[Q] AT&T Nexus 4 help

So I walked into AT&T to help my girlfriend go from her non-smartphone plan to the prepaid $65 a month data plan so that she could use an unlocked Nexus 4 using the plan. Before you say she should switch to T-mobile that isn't an option (I wish it was).
The lady there said that she didn't think the Nexus could work using that plan because something about it having 4g capabilities. To my knowledge the Nexus 4 is NOT a 4g device (not LTE anyways), and I left very confused about something I thought would be extremely easy.
Could anyone explain to me how you would use the Nexus 4 on AT&T's prepaid plan, or AT&T in general. Were they just trying to bait me into getting her a 2 year contract?
Thanks for any help!
furthermore...
I am talking to a rep. online who says the $65 a month data plan only allows for 3g speeds regardless of phone, so what are my AT&T options off contract that allow for 4g speeds?

Any 3g, 4g 5" tablets?

I would love to find a 5 inch or smaller tablet I can fit in my pocket that has a data plan with it. Reason being is I don't want to keep paying my crazy phone bill and will gladly go back to a dumb prepay phone for $25 a month then get a tablet with data for another $30 and only pay $55 a month rather the the $100 I'm paying now.

Get international galaxy NOTE 2. Its a 5.5in screen. You sim unlock it and you should be able to run prepaid service on it or even see if someone can flash it to say metro pcs, boost mobile etc... those services will run you $50/mo. But do some research for yoirself for more details. If thats a bit too high. Galaxy NOTE its a 5.2 or 5.3 inch screen (1st gen) ATT ONLY. Lower price now, same option flash to other service or use att prepaid month to month

If T-Mobile is good in your area, you can get 100 minutes/unlimited texting/5Gb data for $30/mo. You can buy minutes for 10 cents a minute after that or you can use a VOIP/etc service to make calls over network data/wifi.
Hell, you could go VOIP only with a tablet and no "phone" using Google Voice and a client of choice, but the T-Mobile $30 plan is probably cheaper, anyway.
Can you use any unlocked phone on att gophone plans like can I get a nexus 4 take it in to att and activate it on prepay? I would go with t mobile but they hardly cover my area

[Q] question about a 3g/4g upgrade

I have 4 phones on my account
2x sgs3 (unlimited data)
and 2 droid X's (unlimited data) all on the same plan
the 2 DX's are my parents. phones. I would like to upgrade them to a 4g phone.
I am planning to buy outright the new phones (new to them), so I can keep the unlimited plan
my question is how do i get the sim cards for the new phones? (like if i bought them used from someone)
since the dx didn't use sim cards.
do i just go to vzw and ask for 2 sim cards? will they charge me?

They won't charge you. You buy the phone and have them transfer it to the number you want, and they'll give you the needed sim card for free.

[Q] Can you recommend a pre-paid plan for a visitor visiting US?

Hello everyone.
I have a nexus 5 and I visit US 3 times a year, each time for 3 weeks. I used to use my european simcard but now I am considering getting some sort of pre-paid plan (with more toward a data usage rather than call minutes usage). If you have any recommendation (and the network should be compatible with nexus 5) please let me know.
Maybe something like 2-3 GB per month and each time I am visiting I can buy a 1 month top-op for it.
Thanks.

The national carriers that are compatible with Nexus 5 are T-Mobile and ATT. ATT is basically evil and I hate them. T-Mobile is owned by Deutsche Telekom, which may or may not mean anything to you coming from Europe. The problem with T-Mobile is that while they are "national" they are not "universal". If you get out of the major markets you're going to be challenged for service. T-Mobile was very late to the LTE party, but this means the places they have it (which is a great many places indeed by now) it is among the fastest service available - all 4th Generation equipment.
T-Mobile recently bought Metro PCS, so that might be the best choice for a pre-paid SIM. They also offer direct no contract service so even that might work? I found out about a year ago ATT too has pre-paid offerings but I don't know much about it.
Your only options are AT&T and T-Mobile. I have my Nexus 5 on AT&T and I get good coverage. They have some decent prepaid plans here: http://www.att.com/shop/wireless/plans/prepaidplans.html but you have to add more money to add data.
What about AT&T and T-Mobile's MVNOs?

try a keepgo data only sim, which uses att network, just do the math on your length of stay, i did a price of 11 days in the screenshot -
$65= 500mb (fair use) of lte data per day (in US only),
http://www.keepgo.com/order
i know not, if you could get it cheaper from tmobile of att, prepaid..
Check out straight talk. $45 a month unlimited text and min 2.5 GB at 4g speeds then throttled to 2g and unlimited data. You can choose at&t or T-Mobile as a network when you get the starter pack.

+1 on StraightTalk. It is actually 3GB now. I got a text from ST direct to confirm.
Note that your European Nexus 5 is probably the European one D821 which uses different LTE bands to the USA D820 meaning your probably won't get 4GB speeds, but I get 1Mbit-6Mbit on 3G on StaightTalk on my Nexus 4 in USA (just today bought a Nexus 5).
Suggest you order from ST and deliver to a friend in USA, and register and buy a month's credit before you land in USA, so its working on landing.
I do the equivalent opposite direction, I visit UK and use GiffGaff which is about half the cost of StraightTalk
If you're staying in a decent sized city (aka one with good tmobile coverage), tmobile's $30 plan (100 minutes, unlimited text & 5gb data) could be a good option.
Or, like many others have said, straight talk's $45 plan is a good balance for minutes & data.

Straight Talk now has VZW 4G SIMS

Not sure if this was discussed already but just in case. I just got a sim kit from walmart for straight talk and it does have a VZW 4G LTE sim. I saw a video on youtube and saw the kit at Walmart so if anyone wants to switch here is the video of the kit to get. Using it on my Wifes VZW HTC M8.

Actually they have had them out for about a month. You could buy the unlimited 30 day card for $45 on the st web site then it was 99 cents more and you got the cdma activation kit for st with verizon service. Also they had a $20 discount code out you could use so you got them for $25.99 & then they had a code out I believe to get free overnight shipping also.
On another note you could get page plus sims for verizon service also which page plus went verizon lte back in october.
Also another thing to mention on the 19th verizon prepaid upped their LTE data on their $45 plan from 500 mbs to one full gb, and with auto pay you get a bonus 500 mbs so you would get 1.5 gb's for $45 a month with unl talk & text.
But honestly you save more getting verizon prepaid refills from prepaid online.com which gives you discounts and no taxes charged also that saves you more than the value of 500 mbs extra data.
Another thing about verizon prepaid its full speed verizon LTE data as its not throttled at all where st and page plus and all other verizon mvnos they all get throttled to 5 mbs download speed and 2mbs upload speed. Another benefit to verizon prepaid is you can buy bridge data packages such as 3 full gbs of data for $20 and its good for 90 days so you can have 3 months to use up that extra bridged data you purchase.
It all boils down to either cheaper st or page plus and get throttled or a bit more for verizon prepaid and not be throttled getting full post paid account data speeds, that and I do believe verizon prepaid you get free roaming same for page plus but not for st. I believe its only call roaming and not data roaming but I could be wrong on that.
