I created a new thread which was deleted.
Mods,
Please, even if you delete this thread, please let me know where to post my Query. I need help soon, cos i am travelling to out of station for a week starting from tomo, and i wish, my phone is in working condition before that. Please Mods...
I have Rooted LG Optimus P500 with Gingersnap custom ROM.
Yesterday night, mobile went to Emergency Mode!!!! with a yellow background.
Today Morning, mobile booted up. But all the keys(search, volumne) started pressing itself.
One Weird behaviour: Batter charge increasing without charging!!!!
When i Try to switch off using Power Button, its not working.so, i removed Battery. But, when i put battery again, automatically it boots up (without pressing power button)
Now, what should i do to make my Mobile work again.???!!??
Please please Help me..
Also, i am new to the forum.. I dono where to post the query..
Did you wipe everything and tried some other rom??
Still if problem persists.. go to lg service centre!!
Sounds like a bad install. What recovery are you using? Try pulling the battery and when you puy it back in press volume down and home and power all at the same time right away. If it boots to recovery them wipe data, system, cashe, dav cashes, sd-ext(if you have it). Then reinstall the ROM. You might even want to re download the ROM on your computer and copy it to the SD card with an adapter to make sure you have a good copy.
Good luck and welcome to the forum!
Swyped from my P509 on Tmobile.
With Swype and Flash, why would anyone choose the iPhone?

Tried volume down+home+power after Putting Battery. But, mobile boots up before doing anything.!
Also tried to reboot using ROM Manager/ROM ToolBox. Getting below error:
"Activity Superuser request (in application SuperUser) is not responding."
If you have nandroid backup of old rom, restore it by entering in recovery mode.

I was Removing Tmobiles built in Apps when I acidently deleted the telephony apk. I rebooted to see if the the devide would restore the file then it began to boot loop. i pulled the battery like three times then i tried to power on using both volume buttons and power and the device never turned back on. Is there a way to fix it? Please anyone who knows something can you help?
Try resetting your device. Turn it off then turn it on and keep the volume down button pressed.
The phone wont turn on now
Take out battery, hold both volume buttons down and plug usb cable in

how long do i have to hold the buttons down for?
it keeps boot looping i see the factory recovery it reboots pass the navidia screen then just boot loops

About 47 minutes, until your screen rapidly starts changing colors.
first off wrong section.
not sure if it works with this works with this phone but you can try oden.
you will have to find a oden flashable rom and boot your phone into download mode.
or you could put your phone in a microwave for 10 secs and take it back to the store and tell them it wont work. they will replace it as long as the water meters arent red.
Look at the post for one click installing clockwork mod and do that. Then find the post with the stock nandroid (or eagleblood) download it either put the files on sd via a reader or boot to recovery and use adb push to get the files on the sd card.
Then wipe the data and cache and apply the new rom. That should work. Don't use Odin as that's only for Samsung phones.

Do you have clockwork recovery installed via nvflash? If not, you need to do that, then download the stock rooted backed that is posted in the development thread...Once you do that, download SuperOneClick and unroot your phone, you should not be messing with this stuff if you don't know what your're doing...After that, check out the stickies in the G2x forums and read the rules about what should and should not be posted in the each of the forums.
sorry about the miss posting never posted before and thanks for the help.
still no success i cant get the phone to stay in recovery to flash nvflash im pressing power and down volume but the phone reboots and begins to boot loop again
You don't go into recovery to flash nvflash. You hold down the volume buttons while plugging it into usb with the battery removed. Search for the thread on one click nvflash.

thanks gonna try now
Do this
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1056847
Then once you get into clockworkmod recovery go to backup/restore and use this NANDROID

So I rooted my Tmobile g2x everything was going great until I tried using the Trinity Kernel. Now it won't recognize any Network service so I can't redownload ROM Manager to restore it to my previous ROM. My computer can't find my phone either (I installed my USB Drivers already) What should I do?
HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED! PLEASE!
First goto settings> wireless> mobile network> and make sure your apn is correct. Then try reflashing trinity but make sure to wipe cache and dalvik first

Yeah, my apn is correct. How do I reflash it? I have no access to any type of network so I can't download ROM Manager to flash it, it won't read my sd card or my sim card. And my computer won't recognize my phone apparently... I'm soo ****eeedd.... I just got this phone today too.
You are not fudged for good. If you have no absolute access and your computer won't recognized the phone when plugged in, then install the drivers. Fisrt and foremost go to dev thread and root your phone properly through nvflash. Lastly try rebooting the phone holding down the power+vol up until the second LG logo pops up, this has been said and reported to fix weird data issues.

When you ask me to install the drivers. You're talking about the original USB drivers for the phone right? I've already had them installed previously. The phone was recognized before I booted it to the Trinity Kernel. So which drivers should I get?
Try booting in CWM by holding down volume + power til you see the blue lg then let grand from there perform a factory data reset and then try flashing trinity again or a rom with or without trinity

I get to the CWM but I can't select anything. All I could do is move the the highlighter up or down but I can't select?
The magnifying glass search button or the power button can be used for select. You may have also disabled the ability to select which it will tell you near the bottom of the screen. Press both volume buttons a few times to fix that.

You realize that you don't have to use rom manager to install a rom right? And your saying the you can't connection to wifi? Or data? And with the apns mine used to be a correct but I still couldn't connect to data just hit menu and hit reset apn it should work. With nvidia tegra on board its really hard to brick ur phone.. If you really run into and problems let me know and I'll hook you up to a thread for apx drivers iv been there done that
I've finally solved my issue thanks to TGA_Gunnman. Appreciated the help everyone!

Pictures and notes are usually on sd card and facrory reset let sd intact. You can try first only "wipe cache" from stock recovery maybe helps.

Still cant get it to work, have been using my old phone.
How do I do a "clean wipe".
If I turn it on ,it goes to the unlock screen but wont unlock and the screen goes black but if I call the phone it goes through and the dial screen works fine.
I really need to get this working as I need the texts I have sent and received as well as everything else.
Can anyone offer any help or advice?
Biggest mistake to ever get a Motorola phone, should have stuck with Samsung.
i think ur blur launcher is having problem or u deleted it by mistake.
If any expert here makes a flashable zip of any launcher, or u can install it by adb
At this point I would recommended to reflash back to factory 2.3.5 using the fxz, and the update over the air afterwards.
Remember to always have a backup and use CWM in boot!
Follow this link and look at the instructions on how to flash the fxz: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396650

Download "fxz" and "replace" files from Noob thread and flash it using rsd lite if its a software issue then it will be resolved if not i m afraid you will have to service it.
If you're using stock then you shouldn't have to FXZ your phone. With the phone OFF hold the up & down volume keys, and then press your power button. It should pop up the "Boot Mode Selection Menu" Release both the volume keys and then press the down volume once to highlight "Recovery." Then press the volume up button to start your recovery. Scroll to "wipe data/factory reset" using the volume down key and when it is selected press the power button. Then navigate to the "Yes -- delete all user data" using the volume keys (up or down) and press the power key when it is selected. After it has finished, it will show the first menu again. Then navigate to the "wipe cache partition" and follow the same steps as the wipe data/factory reset instructions. Once it goes back to the first menu after wiping the cache partition, then press the power button ("reboot system now" should be selected) and when your phone boots back up it will be like you just got it out of the box except you WILL still have all of your pictures and your videos.

are you rooted? if so you can reset then get all of your data back (I can explain how if you are)
If not, do you have usb debugging enabled? if so you can do a temporary root, just enough to dump your system so you can reset then restore your data the same way

Let's start here, try telling us exactly what happened and what you did to get yourself into this situation. For instance, are you rooted, running any custom roms, or are you on stock Android 2.3.6.? Which model of ATRIX 2: MB865 or ME865? Anything else you can tell us that you have done? The more information you can give, the better!

this would all be helpful. as long as he has usb debugging on he can use the root exploit to open things up enough to try pushing a launcher and if that fails dump the system so that data can be restored

100% stock.I have themb865.Only thing changed is I updated it when Motorola released that update, the one people said fixed the cam.
Here is a video of it,notice how long it takes to start up and when it reaches the screen, nothing happens. If I were to call the phone however it would work and I can receive calls. Also if I press the power button the screen wont turn back on unless I call it.It will run very hot as well.
Video of the problem.

1. Can you try bringing it up without the SD card? If you can, the card may be corrupted, may be need to put to a computer for fsck.
2. Can you connect to it via ADB? Then there are ways (google for exact command syntax: adb pull /data/data/com.android.providers.contacts/databases ... in fact pull out entire /data/data, you can extract all your contacts, sms, call log from there) to dump/restore your data.
Like i said a few posts up bud, follow the link i provided and flash the fxz. It will fix your issue. Your pics will remain on the sd card, but yes you will lose your texts. Your contacts are backed up by your google account.

I tried to take the SD card out, same thing. The SD card I got in there now is a different one I popped in the phone so I dont misplace it.It's definitely not the SD card.
I am using an older phone,my contacts are not all there, infact most arent. I need my texts as there is numbers and info in there I cant lose.
I will try what you suggested,is there any other things I should do?
I should add,the last app I installed was that Lookout Security app.
I should have stuck with Samsung, never again will I get a Motorola phone.

But how can I manage a booting. I have no control on the goophone...I can juste turn it on or turn it off that's all.
I thought there was a sort of combination with the buttons or something to do in the harware (shortcut ???)
I solve my problem
I solve the problem.
First you have to make a shorcut on the battery (between red and dark), so the mobile is completely off. I copy a new rom on the sd card. I turn the mobile on by pressing the + (audio) and power untill i feel a vibration. Then you access to the menu (in chinese) but there you can reinstall the rom. But it still on the sd card. After the installation of the rom on the sd, your mobile is recognize by windows. Now you can put the rom on the intern memory et reinstall the same way.
It works perfectly.
Hope it will be usefull for another one.
Thanks.
i made the shortcut but when restarted ...still stuck on the apple logo!!! any other hint?
thanx
Can someone help me. My phone is on Valhalla final, one morning when it got battery empty and i was supposed to charge it, it just got stuck on the boot screen and wont progress anymore. can i install this rom to my phone? BTW i have a USB jig, i think thats the only way i could restore my phone through odin or heimdall. Thanks in advance!
I am not sure what you are asking since you are aware of Odin and Heimdall. Are you asking if you can still reinstall the Valhalla rom back?
You don't need the USB jig. You can access Odin or Heimdall by putting the phone in download mode. Follow the instructions in the guide.

Reboot recovery. Wipe cache and dalvik. Fix permissions. Reboot. If that doesn't do it you'll have to factory reset.
If all else fails and you want to try one last thing before restoring your phone and losing your data then flash a stock kernel like antonx stock with a twist it should boot your phone back up

thats also my another problem, i cannot access recovery mode neither.
Pull battery with USB unplugged so phone turns off completely. Hold down both volume buttons. Put battery back in. Press the power button for a second. Let go of the power button, but keep holding the volume buttons. You should now be in recovery mode.
