Sorry if this has already been asked. I searched but didn't find anything.
Does anyone else have a problem with the touch screen while charging? When I have mine plugged into the wall charger I notice that mine has a lot of trouble with scrolling, selecting, typing, zooming, etc. If I am using Dolphin Browser and try to bring up the long press menu it goes bonkers! It zooms in/out and scrolls up/down similtaneously until I release. The phone goes back to normal when I unplug it.
Is there anything I can do about this or do I just keep putting up with it?

hmmm. not I. if anything, the responsiveness improves when charging. not sure if this will solve it, but do you have USB debugging disabled?
I wish that was the case for me! And yes, debugging is currently disabled.

I've had that problem with an aftermarket charger (Verizon POS instead of Samsung.) A guy I work with had the same problem with a Motorola phone and aftermarket charger.
No problem here with either my Sammy or HTC charger.

Seen this happen with some cheap chargers (esp. car chargers). Some sort of electrostatic or magnetic field interferes with the capacitive aspect of the display. Use the OEM charger.

Hmm...these suggestions make sense to me so far, seeing that I normally borrow one from a co-worker (I'm pretty sure she has a Blackberry) and use a Verizon charger at home. I'll have to see about getting an OEM charger and testing this out. Is it possible to have used "bad" chargers so long that it messes the phone up no matter what charger you use?
There's always been a question in the back of my mind if chargers really mattered. I thought it wouldn't as long as it fit. Interesting.
This helps!

I guarantee charging cords and the USB outlets do matter.

It's hit or miss (as is most things these days). BB chargers work fine with this phone.

I have had this troubles for awhile and found the solution... It is the charger and cable.
find another charger and cable (it only happens when I use my BlackBerry cable and
Pantec charger) the cable works great on other feature phones and the charger works
great with other cables but when the two mix it basically halts the screen... my two cents
worth...
try changing those two or one and see if it helps

Are you plugged into a wall socket? If you are trying to charge through USB from a computer, it won't charge unless in sleep mode. Even then it will charge slowly.
Plugged into a wall socket atm.. iv tried from a computer I don't get a charging icon like I used 2

Just got it from Amazon and I have the same issue and still not able to figure out how to fix it. My Transformer is lying there without charging. Planning to return it to Amazon.
Right I just got mine working... try this pull the plug apart and put it back together now squueze them together as tight as you can and try that. Its working for me now ..

It just doesn't work. How is the usb cable connected to your adapter? It just gets in both ways.
Can you send me a picture of how the three parts are fit into each other?
its only suppose to go in one way, just like conncting any USB devices. But tried that, dissemble the adaptor and put them together, it actually happened to me once too, did exactly that and everything fixed. Remember you gotta squeeze pretty hard to put the two pieces together.
Thanks guys, its working. But this is ridiculous, you have to do a dumbbell roll to fix battery plug
i cant get it too charge and i just got it in the mail. why the hell it even come with this wack ass plug in the first place. what a horrible first impression!
I suggest you dont even use it, its dangerous. Mine melted the first day I got it. I went to bestbuy and got a replacement that works great. It charges at 11 volts/1.5 amps

This seriously works?
I just hope the voltage is right... I've tried different adapters for my phone and then my phone started acting weird (like it didn't take calls and would freeze at times). Replaced the adapter and it returned to normal again.
My TF adapter also gets really hot when charging.
Thanks for the recommendation.
I put some petroleum jelly on the metal prongs and smashed it on the counter a few times AFTER snapping it in.
Unfortunately I did them at the same time and didn't test in between so i don't know which if either or possibly both fixed it but mine is finally ****ing charging.
What a headache. I'm really bothered by ASUS for issuing such a faulty component.
I'm probably going to pick up that dynex tomorrow, because I just KNOW this will break again and mysteriously lodge itself into my drywall.
I just had the problem and discovered that the 5 forward pins on the power adapter are apparently quite easily deformed.
The charger is dual output, 5v and 15v.They use a USB3 connector, with the 15v quick charge output on those pins. I expect that they use the old USB 2 pins behind them to supply 5v for a slow charge, and PC data/charge connection.
Just prior to this, I had tried using an extension USB3 cable on it, so that I could use it while charging, and I suspect that was just enough to deform a couple of the 5 pins in the charger, and I got no charge at all from it, even after putting it back to normal. After an hour, the charger was still cold, and no indication of charging on either the tablet or with the table and keyboard attached.
With a good light and strong magnifier, I could see that a couple of the pins (of the 5 in the front) looked a bit recessed compared to the others, and carefully used the tip of a very fine needle to lift all of them just slightly. Having done that, the charger came to life when I plugged it back in, and the TF is indicating that it is charging.
I don't know how solid or permanent the fix will be, but it is working for me now.
Anyone else have the same issue? Try thjs, open the browser and search something on Google. Scroll up and down slowly and while still scrolling, plug the charger in.
It actually says that you shouldn't use the product while charging.
I don't know why, but I have the same odd responses on the screen while charging.

I have it sometimes on my Xperia ARC " phone " Only when I use CHEAP charger ..
the Original charger doesn't have any problem with it through ...
The galaxy s II on sprint did this with the charger given - plugged charger into phone, it was difficult to swipe screen away. Not sure if it was upgraded with some sort of firmware update, but my charger for the gsII got replaced and then it worked. Did you happen to not receive the update? I didn't and mine's a little off, as if something is sucking the cpu power in the background. I also see a slightly longer delay when turning the screen on and swiping. I can't complain that much though, it's not as bad as some
It's definitely the charger. You can try to twist the cable, wrap in aluminum foil or try another charger.
I've had similar issues with the s2 .. it was the charger so would guess same here on note

For me that is kind of hard to do, I mean scrllong the page while trying to plug in the charger cable at the same time. Why would you do it? Why not just stop doing any thing for the second or two that it takes to plug in the charger cable?
My note 10.1 act very strange, when i use it while charging, when typing text, letters will not work, and while surfig, pages opens without touching them, and screen zoom by it selfe when touching the screen, is this just mine that acts like this, i use an unoriginal charge cable, but stock charger
Have you tried using another charging port? There might be a fluctation in the port you are using. I had a similar problem with my iPhone where the phone kept doing strange things similar to the things you mentioned above while charging. I switched the port and then it was ok. The charge cable you said was unoriginal, maybe it's damaged, try using another cable and see if it works.
Hope I helped.

You're probably using an unshielded (or insufficiently shielded) cable, and there is a voltage leak that is messing with the capacitive touch screen. It's happened to me with various devices (though not this one, as I only have the original cable).
Try to buy an OEM cable, or at least something higher quality that will have sufficient shielding.
Does anyone else have an issue with fast charging? I am using the original cable/charger that came in the box and I have to unplug/replug it in anywhere from 2-6 times for it to register as fast charging, sometimes more. I have also tried using the charger that came with my Note 4, same issue. Tried using a different wall outlet, same issue. I noticed a thread on Android Central references this same issue but as that is not purely T-Mobile brands, it's hard to gauge where the issue comes from.
Anyone else experiencing this?
If the usb isn't fully plugged in to the adapter, it won't fast charge. I haven't had any issues fast charging with the included charger or the note 4 charger.

I'm currently running ForeverLoco's ROM but I was running stock (both BOH4/BOH6) before recently flashing FL's ROM and the issue still happened. I'm starting to think it was a bad batch of devices sent to T-Mobile from what I am reading on Android Central forums. Was hoping someone here would have a suggestion for a fix but I might just have to take in and replace it since I'm still within the 14 day window.
Get a new one bro. Take it back and plug it in the store. Test it.

I have this issue but far less common for it to annoy me. Usually when I plug in our check my notification to make sure fast charging is enabled. My s6
Charger doesn't fast charge at all (same model number and same everything). The original charger fast charges 95% of the time. Yesterday was only the 2nd time I had to reseating the charger after I noticed I was still on 17% after 15min. And didn't see the fast charge notification.
Could be for me what someone else said about not plugging in all the way as it happens once in a blue but idk. My s6 had the same problem if it even is a problem.

This is a known issue with the update to 5ERA1. I had the exact same thing happen to mine. Phone will only do fast wireless. My charging port is emaculate. My wife just updated to 5ERA1 and her note 5 is glitching like crazy.
Wait, i have the same thing, but this is because of the cable or charger. I saw it a couple of weeks ago and now it happens a lot, so, when i connect my phone and its not fast charging, i just unplug the cable, wiggle it a bit and connect back. It doesnt work all the time so i might repeat this 2-3 time and in the end its fast charging. When i tried another good cable, it was fast charging all the time so before buying a new phone. try another good cable hope thats your problem
Sometimes my Note8 does not charge on my Samsung fast wireless charger. No, this is not a position issue.. Sometimes, it just doesn't charge. The solid bluelight of the wireless charger although turns on. The only way for me to wireless charge again in this state is for me to reboot the phone.
Anyone else run onto this? Very annoying and it happens at random times.

I am surprised no one ran into this issue. The only thing I can think of that would cause this is some service I disabled.
I have the same issue and unfortunately have not figured it out. Mine will charge for about 10 seconds then will start blinking, I am using the dock fast charger from before the note 8 though not the newest one.

I had the same issue when trying to use the older wireless charging stand. I think it's a power issue because I tried an older iPad charging block (one of the bigger ones that has higher wattage or voltage or whatever) and it charged fine on the older stand. It didn't say it was fast charging but it did charge faster than average. I think I'll just stick to the newer charging base I got from the Note 8 promotion.
I had the same issue. I realized the case that i was using was the issue. Had to take it off to use the wireless charging.
I noticed the same thing recently. The wierd thing is, I also have the old original flat slow wireless charger and I use tha every night with a case, it just won't work on the fast dock one. Only without the case, or I think if i lay it sideways it works.

This issue has to do with power supply. Try different cables or wall plugs. I have had this issue in the past it could be sending too much or too little voltage. It blinks like that and turns off to protect your device from getting damaged.
I actually had to use an older wall plug to get my older wireless charging pad to work. The quick charge wall plug was pushing too much voltage.

if I remove the case it works perfectly. With the case its the 10 second deal; However, I took your advice and switched out the charging brick to another samsung fast charger ( all i have to test with at the moment) and it looks like it may work. I will see if I have a better one at home but it may just be with the case its having to emit more power like you mentioned. not sure but ill try that out for now.

Looks like a common issue where the old wireless charger (pre S8 ones) had problems. My fast wireless charger had no issues with the S7, just the Note 8.

Many users are facing this problem. While searching the web I found one user giving the best solution for this problem at Samsung community, He says that he has the same issue if the phone is standing straight up. However, when he put it on its side he never seems to have the problem.

Anyone notice that it only charges when the screen is OFF?
I have this issue sometimes randomly on the new flat fast charger. Does this with my wifes S8 as well. My older standing type fastcharger that I got for my Note 5 works flawlessly. I feel like it's the flat fastcharger base itself.
