hello friends, i just got a hkc 7 inch tablet from walmart...is there anyway to root it and unlock it....thanx guys

I want know as well how to root this tablet. This one has android 4.1.1.

i have this tablet too and having trouble rooting it, tried so many JB rooting tool but none of them worked

You can try vroot.

I've read somewhere about a program called ZhuoDaShi, when i was trying to root my alcatel tab 7 hd. ZhuoDaShi actually didn't root it, but it downloaded another program (seems fishy but whatever) and that one did the trick.
Wasn't vroot tho.. something else entirely. Anyway, it worked like a charm. Had some trouble cleaning the tab from the chinese superuser program and updateing supersu, it was doable but tricky.
anyway. we could use some sources to start to build custom roms, but alcatel or tcl or whatever their name is doesnt provide it yet

Could someone help me for this tablet's brother? :/

NOVA Lancher for Kindle Fire

I have a Kindle Fire HD 7. I have been stuck with the old carousel launcher and i was wondering if i could get the Nova Launcher installed and gets themes working. Also if this matter (most likely) i am not rooted and have 7.4.1user_blahblah.

There shouldn't be any reason why you can't install Nova Launcher from the Play Store. Have you tried?

Nova launcher might not be compatible with kindles, but I'm not sure, of the play store doesn't have it, you'll have to root it and install a custom rom on it

That's perfectly fine with me, its just a matter of i don't know how to root a kindle fire hd.
