[Q] Changing The Lockscreen...

Is there any possibility to change lockscreen and only lockscreen on X10, like CM7 or honeycomb or other lockscreens from themes?!

with widget locker you get a real feel of a new lockscreen customized by yourself. give it a try, for SE ROMs (I guess thats your case) it is the only way to change it.

He can also try lockbot from market but it drains a little more battery

the only thing i wanted was stock lockscreen with music controls, too bad Achotjan abandoned his CM7 project because he was the only dev that nailed this.

I meant stock Sony Ericsson. I use widgetlocker as an alternative, but i wish it had a SE-like option.

I was looking for something like that myself, a way to put music controls in the default lock

Sadly I've tried this using a rotary lock screen., and the mod won't "take". All other customizations work fine (battery icon, font etc) however I cannot alter the lock screen.

i have made 3 lockscreens till now.My latest(Puzzle lockscreen)will be uploaded soon.Also I need someone to test my mod(Touchwiz)

i believe the lockscreen customization from UOT kitchen only works for cyanogen roms lockscreen

widgetlocker is paid....
is there no free app for lockscreen????
or at least, no one designed an easly flashable lockscreen via xRecovery

[Q] Boot Animation Replace & Battery

Hi,
Can someone point me the rigth direction to replace boot animation & batter indicator. I really like the Humble boot animations with the green droid and green particle circling also for the battery I like the Humble percent % indicater.

I replied over at Rootz, but I'll repost it here too.
The simple way is to use http://uot.dakra.lt/ to built a CWM compatible file. You'll need three files out of your ROM of choice (framework-res.apk, twframework.apk, and SystemUI.apk). You can unpack those from your ROM and upload them. There are a ton of different battery indicators and boot animations available there, and you can customize everything about every battery they offer.

Cyanogen is coded differently.The theme features cannot be enabled on stock gingerbread..
You need to manually install themes via cwm.

I see no difference in these 3 themes.

well those 3 stock themes have only some color diference, and also always reebot when apply new theme, go here for more themes , lpdi supported chose

[Q] Changing settings icon in apps drawer

I have been trying to change the settings icon in my app drawer.
I have edited the icon in settings.apk, systemui.apk framwork-res.apk and com.htc.resources.apk but it is still showing the orgional icon.
I have been able to edit all the icons in the settings menu, but not the main icon its self.
Can anybody tell me what I need to edit?
I am using ICS sense 3.6 with 3.32.401.5_R as the rom base.

I would think it would be Settings/res/drawable-hdpi/common_app_ic_launcher_settings.png
Do you have a skin or anything applied that may be overriding your edited icon?

Looking at an extraction of the apk and I'm having second thoughts...
I don't have access to decompile to check resources, but it looks as though settings may be using mipmap:
Settings/res/mipmap-hdpi/ic_launcher_settings.png

Yes it is using the mipmap-hdpi/ic_launcher_settings.png file! Thank you very much I would have never thought of looking in there Icon is now changed!!!!

No problem. Remember, you may want to add matching mdpi and xhdpi versions of your icon as well...

[THEME] Real Icon Theme launchers -- now with Settings Theming

Well, I know I said I was retired but I felt a little bored tonight so I decided to make a few launcher icons. You can download them individually if you only want one or you can download the flashable.zip to get them all.
If gmail and hangouts doesnt change, just go into /data/app and delete the one that isn't themed.
They are from a 4.4.3 De-odexed rom so only use that.
EDIT: I now added theming for the main Icons in Settings.

What rom are you running? The gallery apk is actually an htc update that gets dropped in data/app. Check in there and see if you have 2 apk's. Also its possible that the rom dev updated it and put it in system/priv-app already in which case mine may not take effect.
As far as file manager, I will have to look at that. Did you have it before? Are you on an odex or deodex rom? Maybe to troubleshoot, go into app manager, slide to the right until you get to all, find File Manager and clear its data. Then try running it again. Let me know what you find.

ok, i uploaded a new version of the file that includes the gallery in the original place as well in case the dev replaced it with the new version. Also, maybe the file manager just uploaded bad so see if it works this time.

Running the latest cleanrom with no mods. Latest zip fixed gallery but file manager still FC. Clearing cache & data, still a no go. Thanks!

That's so weird because it works great for me. Did you have it before you got mine? If so maybe check /system/app and /system/priv-app and see if there is another copy still that you can remove.

if you are using a more stock rom like starfall or cleanrom, this one has settings built in too... oh and i changed hangouts to green so it represented it more

I updated the flashable zip so it is vrtheme... you shouldn't lose your other theming now.

I now added theming for the main Icons in Settings. The only icon I couldn't find yet is the printer icon but the rest are themed. Just redownload the flashable zip and flash it again. I'll put pics up late.

for those of you that installed the flashable earlier today, you may want to download it and flash it again, i found the missing printer icon so settings is fully themed now. I also fixed the link :fingers-crossed:
