ICS issues after OTA update - Motorola Atrix 2

Yesterday I did the OTA update, I let the phone away while the blue bar with the android robot finished but it got stucked at the middle. I waited almost 30 mnts and the exclamation mark and the bar just stopped and rebooted! I pulled the battery out and the update process begn by itslef, at the middle it rebooted. So I downloaded the Blur_Version.55.13.25.MB865.ATT.en.US and flashed it through RSD and the phone booted up.
Here the problems came up. The phone it's extremely laggy, when I lock it, the TV-animation screen lock delays 4-6 seconds to completely lock the screen, same way unlocking it.
The other issue it's the internal storage isn't able to use, unreadable.
What can I do? I know we can not roll back to GB, I flashed the Blur_Version.55.13.25.MB865.ATT.en.US twice and wiped, but it does not seems to work.
Help please!

First lets find out what version of Atrix 2 you have. Is it at&t US MB865? What region are you in? Can you post a screen shot of about phone info? Your SIG shows Atrix HD MB886! So which phone are you flashing? Atrix 2 or Atrix HD?

Thanks for the reply.
I own both A2 and AHD. I did the OTA with the A2 then got the issues I mentioned above.
And the phone it's the AT&T MB865.

Try a factory data reset from settings.

Did you try factory data reset like Jim suggested?

[Q] xoom has crashed three times from browser?

This is really weird
my xoom has crashed three times today. Browser hangs then it goes to black. I can only get it started again by holding volume up and hitting power. Its unlocked and rooted but nothing else. Any ideas on what might be causing this and how to fix it?
Sent from my MZ604 using Tapatalk
Are you on 3.0.1? If you are then this is normal, I had this also. 3.1 update fixes this.
Ya I am. How can I get 3.1? Thanks atleast I know nothing is wrong with mine for now

Wait for it, it will be pushed to you automatically or if you have a US Xoom then you can install it manually. Check the threads in development forum.
Mine is canadian so I guess I have to wait. Will it still update even though im rooted/unlocked though?

N8013 Software Update

Anyone else receive a software update for their Wifi note? Got the notify at around 2:30 am today, 42Mb download. Im on UEALH2 already. Not sure what the update is.
I cant install the update because it reboots and goes into CWM recovery where it asks to allow unsigned/unverified package, and then fails to update.

Update available 75.51 MB
I am on N8013UEALGB
I am unrooted and was able to install this 50 MB update. So far I see no changes at all. S-Note issues that appeared after last update (automatic brightness increase) still persist. I think this update is laying the groundwork for a future Jelly Bean update.
Moves firmware to UEALI3 now.
Update was 75.51mb.
Stability and performance improvements, was what the update message said... checking out now.

Changes i can find over previous version
- browser does not close when you click the x on the last tab left. It only closes via go back key.
- browser now remembers desktop mode on fresh re-start. earlier it used to revert to mobile website view.

Updated here just now. It was about 40 mb also coming from H2. Restored root with out a problem. Just make sure if you replaced anything, put it back before updating. I've had issues updating my galaxay s3 from OTA because I modified something.
Huh. Assuming the JB OTA is somewhere close at hand, I wonder why they are bothering with this small update?

My tablet sits at 100% for a minute or 2. Then it restarts and starts over again. I was rooted but other people report that they were also and had no problem. Any tips? I forgot to backup a note where i just jotted down some info i needed. Was hoping to be able to get that note off the tablet before i try and recover with ODIN. Can't believe i didn't back up the note first.
Update-installed original firmware through ODIN all my files intact and then updated no problem.
Darn, saw the update this morning and was hoping it was JB. I guess this is probably the update that they had pulled from their system earlier after fixing whatever was causing the loss of S-pen functionality that happened to some people after that update. I never got that one so it will be good to get the 64gb SD card support that came with it as well as the fix for the keyboard automatically coming up when exiting an app that was started from a folder.
weird that there are 2 different size updates. 42.07mb here and I am on LH2
Just updated ...don't seem to see any improvements. I just hope jelly bean is around the corner !

Im on LGB... 75mb update... Will try now

weird. I fail at 25%, no matter what. even did a Factory Reset. It tells me to try Kies. Kies says I am up to date. hehe
Guess I will figure it out at work
I updated and it appears to be the same update that was released about a month ago and then quickly pulled after problems with the S-pen were reported by some people. I believe the biggest change from that update was added functionality for formating 64gb cards on the tablet itself.

That explains the size difference. 75 for LGB. 42 for LH2.

[Q] Installed update....no root!

I went back to stock. Hit the wrong button and installed the update. Now I am not rooted and hate everything!!! Any idea how long before I can root this poor phone so I don't hate everything about it and on it?:crying:
There's a good chance there won't be another exploit found. This Is thy you have to protect root.

There is talk of a method to partially flash back to previous build using rsd, root, then update again over on droidrzr.com I will try to find it and link it for you.

Rsd lite is a Motorola program used to flash xml files.
I was wrong, it wasn't droidrzr.com, it was right here on xda.

realbbb is a very sharp guy and former Bionic owner who went through all of the "Cheescake" leaked update issues we had with that device while Motorola was struggling with the baseband firmware in the early rollout of VZW's LTE network.
This workaround is a version of the method we used when you got stuck on a non upgradeable test leak and had to revert to a prior version to move forward.
It is exactly the sort of creative thinking that is required in situations like this when you find yourself stuck by unforeseen circumstances.
This can easily and safely be tested by anyone who is currently on the update and has lost root, since the full XML.zip was released shortly after the update went live last week.

[Q] Significant battery drain after 9.18.79 update.

I'm encountering significant battery drain after updating my RAZR MAXX HD to 9.18.79. Has anyone experienced? I used to love the battery life prior to the update, but now it straight up sucks. I'm rooted.
Any suggestions? I guess there's no real way of removing the update.

You can always use mattlgroff utility to flash an older SBF.
However its going to wipe your phone so I suggest using titanium backup to backup your apps.
You might also want to do a nandroid backup either via safestrap or TWRP just in case you want to get your phone back to the 9.20 with all your informatoin still intact.

Thanks. I'll try that. I'm surprised I'm the only person experiencing this problem. It must be an updated app that has changed its resource utilization.
Hmm I'm going to have to try this. I did the factory reset last night after the upgrade due to reboots and horrible battery life. Still getting the reboots and too early to tell if battery life is better or not. I was a fool and didn't unlock my bootloader, only rooted because I was as happy as a pig in mud with this phone prior to this last upgrade. I wonder after the sbf if its unlockable again? Probably similar to the droid x sbf?

I don't know why do people want to update at all cost. If it ain't broken there is no need to fix it. Quite frankly I liked ICS best but when I sent my Droid for a repair it came already with JB. Just disable moto services and you won't see those nagging, annoying update requests. I am aware that many guys will always want "the newest" version... F.e. The newest gmail client sucks big time. In order to delete the message gotta click twice. They got rid of the trash can. Who believes it is better/more beneficial now? Just my 2 cents.

There is an option to put the trash can back on the gmail app.
I got the radios only from the update. They're the best part.

Successfully used the above linked utility to revert back to old radio and system version 9.16.6. Root worked in the utility too, but I had my phone rooted before. Now I have 2 superuser apps, one with a pound sign icon and the other with the green android with an eye patch. I went for the gold and the boot loader unlock failed of course. From what I read I knew it would but had to try anyways. I'll be happy if I'm back to where I was before. Got the updater froze now in titanium backup.

I would like to know that too, probably need to be unlocked with a different recovery and a zip file to flash.
Found a link in this thread on here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2378189
Will try it later today and see if it works.
Works on my locked boot loader through RSD Lite. Got the new radios on the 9.16.6 version. Hopefully it doesn't turn into a reboot machine again!

FYI give 9.18.79 update about 3-4 days. After that you will see your batter life go up. I got 1d 6h 35m on medium usage after a couple of days. The first day I only had about 16 hours.
So the two things I have circled never used to be listed under running apps. What would cause these to be listed? Only since the VZW update have I noticed this.
