I downloaded Google music on her sidekick and started uploading songs but they just wont show up on her phone only the songs that on her SD card shows up. What am I doing wrong is something else I have to do to the sidekick because I did it no different from my g2x. Also is there a way to connect the sidekick to my Google music account ?

You may need to enable all music, rather than just offline library in the menu.
Okay I found something it shows my PC authorized to play the music thru the beta but the sidekick is not there but it dose not show a way to add another authorized device

It uses the Google account added in Accounts and Settings. If you add your account, you should be able to authorize the phone.

HTC mail app

Hello all,
I've decided to ditch Gmail and use the stock mail app. One if my accounts was hacked recently so Google had me add an extra layer of protection that when ever I sign in from another new device (or when I change ROMS) it sends me a verification code in a text message to complete the sign in. Is this what's preventing me from being able to sign into my account using the HTC mail app? Is there a way around it or something I'm missing when trying to set it up.
Thanks,
Mark

You have to go into your Google security settings and get a unique password that you will use for the HTC mail app. You will use the password supplied when you setup the mail app instead of your Google password. You will find it near the bottom of the security screen.

Where are the Google security settings at? I was able to go to Google settings and hit the 3 dots on the to right and one of the options was to get a verification code and it gave me one. I tried to use it as a password without a space in the middle and with but it still says failed.

I am not near a computer right now but you might need to get to the Google security settings via a browser. A verification code will definitely not work. You need to set an app specific password. Try to Google search "two step authentication app specific password" sorry I can't be of more help right now. If I was near a computer I could give you exact steps.

https://www.google.com/settings/security
Then click on settings for app passwords
It will generate a one time use password that will not be shown again after initially generated. You can save it if you wish, but you can generate as many as you wish so there really isn't a need. You can also revoke it at any time.
Thanks to both of you for the help. It worked like a charm.

Glad you got it to work. Too bad Google doesn't make that function a bit more obvious.

[Q] Connected accounts?

Hello, I used the Android Device Manager website to try to locate a friends lost phone. He logged into his account on my phone. He found his phone, but now, our accounts are linked or connected somehow. For example, my google (chrome) searches are showing up on his phone.
How can I disconnect them? Thanks in advance.

i wish i could help you, but i looked into my account and i can see the connected devices, but it gives no option that i can find to remove them.
i would bet that either your phone is listed in his account or his in yours. either way im betting this is where it would need to be deleted to disconnect them.
you and he should look into your accounts to see who is causing the issue (whoevers phone is on the others account), then call google and explain the situation to see if they can remove it for you.
googles phone number can be found on their support page. a search for google support should bring it right up.
