Whats the difference??? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have a issue that I hope someone can tell me where to find the fix.... I installed the Leak build of K3 rom for the S3 and I noticed issues with a number of graphical apps and games but when I installed other roms like The Executioner 2.5 that was built from the OTA version of the rom and the issues wasn't present on them.. Do anyone know what is different about the OTA roms from the Leak that could cause this issue?
Attached is a example of what I have seen with the leaked version..... I do not know if its the rom or tweaks that was added that resolved this but I would love to use a stock unmodified build of rom but still have this bug resolved.
Any assistance would be appreciated...

All my flashes are clean installations, I do not believe in doing a dirty installation because I see that as nature of all users issues... I cant test if its the leak version that caused the issue because all installations with K3 roms are the leaked version, the OTA is using a new root method so I have been hesitant to flash the stock OTA K3 rom and then try to root it again but I am starting to think that this is the only way to trouble shoot this issue.
I keep getting told that there isn't any differences between the leak and the OTA update but it really seems like it because all roms I install from the stock OTA build doesn't have this issue..

I think I found the difference... I will be testing it later when i get off work...
I.found a.patch that some developers are using in their rims that may be the fix for this... Basically it disables software rendering and allows the device to optimize gpu proformance..
I will know soon...

Is this the "Force GPU Rendering" option in Developer Options?

Thanks but actually that was what I was speaking of but after trying it I had no difference... Still looking for solution.

the differences between the ota and leaked ota was made by samsung for our devices the leaked could be from another device modified for our device

Thanks for reply and I understand that part but my question is built around resolving the video issue with some apps on OTA...
There are roms built from the official OTA that does not have this bug and that is what I am interested in...
Thanks again but that isn't what I meant.

revolution v2 bluetooth not working
I can't seem to get bluetooth to turn on with revolution v2. It worked perfectly in V1.3...does anyone else have this problem? Is there a fix? thanks.
I'll have 2.1 up today

I have no idea what I did wrong I flashed coming from Emancipation thought I followed your directions lost root didn't have any of the features of the rom will apps and add-ons. Should I have flashed your base rom first? Instead of jumping to V2?
Look in the dev thread for su fix
Sent from my SGH-I997 using Tapatalk 2
I saw that but even at that when I flashed I didn't have any of the apps that were suppose to be included with flash. I can usually read the threads and figure out these things but I am stumped here. Plus the ice cream sandwich kept force closing I think I have done something wrong
Ok guess I am crazy I don't see a link for downloading v 2.1

same problem V2, can't success download V2.1.
V2.1
I was able to download V2.1 successfully, errors flashing the ROM does any one have the same issue?
Flash v1.3 then flash nun's 8 lock screen mod
Sent from my Kindle Fire using Tapatalk 2
Three questions
First of all...thanks! Excellent ROM! Running v2.1 Super fast, responsive, no lag at all and excellent battery life so far.
First question - where to adjust lockscreens? I've looked through all the menus but can't find any settings. Or do I need to flash nun's mod?
Second - same question for the battery icon settings (percentage, etc.). Or do I need to flash a battery bar or other mod?
Third - I prefer the earlier email app with check boxes next to each item, insted of using muti-select or other. I was going to take the .apk from another ROM like CM7 and put it in system/app. Will this cause any issues? Just not sure about compatibilty with older apps.
Thanks again!

June 4th Update

So what does the June 4th update mean for me. Will Trickdroid 3.0 be updated then? Should I wait to flash then?
Once updates come out usually devs will work in putting the changes into their roms.
I'm personally waiting to flash a rom til after this update

I doubt this is 4.0.4... I think there might be a few radio fixes and tweaks but nothing indicates a newer ics version. I guess we'll find out on the 4th.

but it´s only for T-Mobile´s phones i hope european users can install that OTA quickly i feel with 1.78 i have less network than 1.53..
I still see nothing that indicates an update to 4.0.4. The release mentions 4.0.3 though.
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using XDA
Yea, the note says it is still 4.0.3. Is there anything even worth while in 4.0.4 that it is so important other than a number upgrade? Going back the the OP, yes, ROMs like TrickDroid will update the base to the latest. It is for T-MobUS, but I'm sure our boys across the pond will get soon. I'm sure EU ROMs like LeeDroid will update as well as soon as the update is released on the 4th.

I forget the specifics, but yes, 4.0.4 brings a significant number of improvements, 100+, but nothing you'd notice UI wise. They're all just tweaks to the existing code.

[LINK][KERNEL][SOURCE]SGH-I727 JB Kernel

Febby had requested this, so here it is:
This is a I727 kernel based on I727R JB source.
It's using the LL3 leak ramdisk at the moment.
Github repo:

Current build, additional notes can be found here:

There is a test build up so if anyone is willing to flash it and make sure it works, I'd appreciate it.
Thanks and enjoy!
Downloading now to a Rogers phone. Let me know if there's anything specific to test besides the obvious?

No problem, note that I'd use the word "IF".
Is it video calling feature
I'm wondering if anyone has a link or text to the full change log. Another thread has a member saying it also resolved the wireless charging issue.

Same thing happened to me. I'm using package disabler, what I did was turn on again all the disabled apps, re-start the phone and listo. It should take it now.

I think the dialer looks hideous the way they placed the button there. Long pressing the 1 gets you voicemail so the voicemail button is redundant. Why couldn't they just place the icon where the voicemail icon is the way Sammy does it on the international versions?

The only thing I've noticed is that that amoled saturation controls have been brought back
same here, i'm on sprint. is it ok to flash being deodex?
Not sure. I haven't got too deep into flashing on this phone, as there's not a heck of a lot to flash. Typically no, you would need to be stock odex and stock recovery to take an ota
Sent from my 2PQ93 using Tapatalk
me too , i have this update 2 days ago , only changes i noticed :
* my hand free stopped working with my htc a9 and now its back again
*have new app called ""HTC VIP" , but its not working in my country
@k2buckley yeah, what a shame :/ i guess i'll have to wait and see what's new with this ota. it was a pain in the arse to get all things done yet i have some issues.
I'm getting that annoying notification about the system update. I'm just rooted with twrp. What would be the best way to update?

Have a look in Post TWRP Recovery #2
chapter 8,9 and 10.
NB: Download and save the ota in your sd card (you'll find it in /data/data/com.htc.updater). You could share it for XDA members...
Cheers
was about to ask the question where i could find it, thanks kho
any feedback abt this ota?
Only thing I've noticed is we have an option for the fingerprint scanner to wake the screen and use it as a home button.
it was already there. i think it's just some improvements and bug fixes.
