Using the lk3 radio is anyone else getting a popping noise every couple of seconds? It happens on any call I make. Sometimes 5 minutes in and sometimes only after a half jour into a call. It goes away if I hang up and call them back then comes back. Happens calling other Verizon phones or even att phones.changing my ROM makes no difference

Anyone? Surely its not only me who has ever had this issue.

You running a custom kernel? If not then flash one up and see if it goes away. If it doesnt then I would call verizon and get the phone replaced personally.
I'm running leankernel. Is went away so far by flashing an older radio than lk3.I'll keep testing for now

Are you rooted? Custom ROM? How many background apps were running at time? I have had it go blank on me but it is always looking at Facebook pics....needs update....anyway..but never unresponsive. On that note let me update my sig so everyone will know my specs.
I have heard of people complaining about this when there phone is plugged in but not otherwise maybe a bug? Or defective

Mine is stock but rooted. Not a big deal, can get it back to work by turning off the screen and turn it back on

I don't have your problem. but i did missed two calls due to the issue i mentioned
hoping ATT will release an update, or the AOSP will be perfect soon.
So my phone has randomly stopped vibrating completely..touch...texts..calls..notifications of all kinds
Im on singhui..I checked all the settings I could find...then did a dirty install of singhui but that did nothing
Then I wiped and reinstalled thinking I might be missing a setting...no luck...then I used nullifier which again had no effect.
Then I remembered that I dropped my phone 10 minutes before I noticed the prblm.
Haven't noticed any other problems either.
Can anyone give me advice on how I can check if its a hardware issue...or if there's still hope for my phone
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda app-developers app
From my experience, it SHOULD fix itself over time. The first time I had this problem, my phone froze while it was vibrating (and I was sleeping) so it was vibrating for about five hours. After that, it stopped vibrating when I rebooted it. I didn't do anything to fix it, it just started working again one day. It happened to me at least two other times, but randomly, and eventually it started working again.
If there's a fix, I don't know it unless it's just time and hope.
So the waiting game is one solution
You're a genius btw...the vibration started working while typing these words...haha

And just like that...vibration is gone again...ill wait again

Welcome to the wonderful waiting world of the g2x haha but seriously, I hope it gets resolved. Could be a broken connection, which is disconnecting/reconnecting due to movements/vibrations.

I have had similar happen, I solve it by hitting the screen, but not too hard. It obviously has to do with the impact _on the screen, which causes it to stop functioning and a similar impact causes it work again.

Every Rom I try every once in a while my data cuts out . Any advice ?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
toggle airplane mode on/off
It comes back after a minute or so just annoying
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2
Mine does too. Randomly. It's better with the G1 radio but it still does it. I suspect they'll release another radio down the road that hopefully fully fixes it.
This happens on the stock ROM. It is beyond annoying. But like stated, it happens only once in a while. Even if this does get fixed. I am very interested in knowing what the exact cause is.

my phone has started doing something crazy today, whenever i talk on it, the radio drops after a minute, and dont come back untill i turn airplane mode off and on or reboot. it only happens if i talk on it. i have changed nothing, except flashing mrom yesterday, i did a full wipe and restored my cm9 backup, and it still does it, has anyone else ever had or even heard of this problem? is my phone just crapping out? i have posted this in my device forum with no answers and even talked to verizon tech, they just had me do factory reset... any help would be greatly appreciated, as i don't want to have to fork over cash for a new phone...

I'm on T-Mobile here in the US. Not sure if anyone else is having issues. I've had my phone since the 6th. Up until yesterday it's all been perfect. Now every now and then the service just drops to "no service" followed by "emergency calls only" then finally comes back to normal. When I have signal, it's good. 4-5 bars. The drops are random. I'm stock + root.
Anyone else having problems?
Same thing is happening with Rogers

Hmmm... I have tried a couple ROMs but none lasted long enough without bugs to notice. I also flashed the stock image again just to be sure and it's still there.
There's an ongoing thread already on XDA:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2525583
Also, there is a thread where a rep from Google, Paul, has acknowledged the issue. Please post your issues there for them to track/investigate:

Unlocked, stock rooted, stock kernal, and I'm having the same issues. Very slow when switching from lte to 3g and back to lte, sometimes it doesn't switch back to lte. Also the loss of signal. I though if factory reset back to stock but I guess that's not the issue.

It's a software issue.. I am getting the same thing on Rogers. I only get it after a call or when sending SMS. Frustrating issue, to put it mildly
I switched to bricked kernel my connections have been solid. Later I also switched to the Cataclysm ROM and so far so good.
I think it is a software issue.
