hi guys,
I have some trouble here, which needs kinda urgent attention. My Nexus S suddenly cant get any lines for telco, which make me unable to make any phone call. It's weird as this suddenly happened and i have no idea what's going on. Previously my phone was working perfectly! I have checked that airplane mode is always turned off. I also tried to re-flash my rom to another rom but same thing happened. Is there any problem with my phone? or is it broken already
someone?
Thanks.
Texting and data works? Have you tried calling your provider?

I've been running a stock rooted ROM for a while on my G2X (BuROM), since I am on 21Y, and I need to use my in-car Bluetooth for phone calls. I've been on this ROM for a few months now
All of a sudden, last week I noticed that my data service was nonexistent. I usually stuck with 2G only (for battery life), but my phone reported only phone signal with no data lock. I checked GetRIL, and everything matched. When I boot the phone, it will have data for a period of time, but then I will have none. Phone calls appear to be fine.
I wiped and re-installed today, and still the data will go away. Any suggestions?
It may be an issue with your SIM card. You can try resetting your default APN settings (under wireless and networks) or try flashing an updated antenna. Make sure you choose the correct one!

Thanks for the response. Which ones are the antenna files?
As a side note, I notice that now my WiFi is active, and I still have a "G" icon in my status bar.
Moved to proper forum.
Hard Reboot it?

My phone suddenly stopped being able to send/receive texts or calls and can't connect to the 3G network -- doesn't seem to be a SIM card issue because when I popped the SIM into an old flip phone, I could call/text. At first the phone looked as if it had full signal and was connected to 3G, but it wouldn't connect when dialing out and couldn't load any websites. I've since reset it (first a factory reset -- still had the same problem, so I did a hard reset) and now I don't even see any signal on the phone. It would work for a few minutes if I turn it off and turn it back on, but then it would suddenly stop working after a few minutes. Has this ever happened to anyone? Does anyone have a solution? Thanks!

How do I go about doing that? (and my wifi is working fine -- does that mean the radio is okay...?) Thanks!

network loss in nexus 4
hi , have u resolved your issue because I'm facing the same problem !
check that your phone is showing that you have a baseband and imei number
Yeah, either flash a new radio, or your IMEI number got screwed up somehow and it isn't registering on the network. Let me know if you need links to the Radio forum.
I've got the same problem now, unknown baseband & imei. anyone know how to fix this ?
Last night, my phone connection started turning on and off while I was using my Droid Razr HD. After a few minutes, the connection died and never came back. I tried rebooting and turning airplane on and off several times, but still have no signal.
Is anyone else having this issue? My dad's Verizon phone is fine and I haven't rooted this phone, so I'm thinking it's a hardware issue with it.
Try looking at the mobile data settings. Sometimes they switch around by themselves. Make sure network mode is not on gsm, and make sure your access point settings are on VZWINTERNET

Hi I've been having some trouble with my Sony Xperia z3 and I can't seem to fix it
The phone isnt rooted or flashed it is just stock
The phone just gets no service and when try to phone someone it says 'radio off' and it says I'm in flight mode when it's not so i don't know what's going on
Also it says this in the settings -
Service state -Voice: Radio off — Data: Radio off
Mobile network type- unknown
Mobile network state unknown
Network - no service
Signal strength -0
The phone recognises the sim
I have tried the Sony companion app and running the repair, restarted the phone several times, factory reset it, and it's not the sim because i've tried the sim in several phone and it works fine. The phone is running lollipop and the sim was working completely fine up until Wednesday and I don't know what has caused this issue, any help appreciated.

Reading the internet i came out with few solutions:
1. Try to get new SIM if this one is little old (because in new update of lollipop sony enabled new frequency band)
2. Try to make few reboots of phone (few people reported this to work)
3. Try to turn on and off airplane mode couple of times (few people reported this to work)
4. Try to download APN and Internet settings
5. Try mannualy choose carirer in settings, if dosent work try to set to GSM only (also few of them reported this to work)
This is for now..I will update as i come on more info
Keep me update if it helped you

1. The sim works in other z3 lollipop devices and I've tried many other sd cards
2.I've downloaded the APN and Internet settings
3.I don't have a GSM only option and It doesn't let me choose manually it just stays on a searching screen because I have no way of changing it from automatic to manual
I believe it is something to with the voice radio and data radio being off is there anyway to turn it on?

Well, there might be a loose connection between motherboard and antenna, or broken antenna.
But it's really hard to occur. I assume you didn't drop your phone.

No I haven't dropped my phone but about a month ago my front screen corner has begun peel up because of the adhesive coming off and then the vibration stopped working so maybe something got under the screen? If it's not a hardware issue is there any way to start the voice and data radios on? Because I think they maybe the issue because when I.try to make a call it says radios off and that the phone its in airplane mode when it's not

Does this mean anything to anyone ?
I have been searching for this error for more than a month. My xperia z3 got this problem when i put it on water. After that my xperia lost signal for a day or two, then it recover the signal for a week. It didnt show any problems after two weeks of use.
Then the error came back, after a reset factory, switching airplane mode and all kind of stuff, i couldnt solved the problem. I have searched that it doesnt only ocurred in xperia but in any android. The strange thing is that no one has a solution, for real no one. I sent my phone to warranty but sony didnt take care of the problem. So im trying different solutions. The next step for me is to open it and try to figure it out.
Good luck

No Service
I'm having the exact same issue. The issue occurred after taking a photo a few inches below water, only submerged for a few seconds with all flaps secured. When there was no cellular network connection, I turned off the phone and removed SD and SIM card and let it sit for awhile. After a few hours, I turned the phone back on and had no problems until a week later.
After restarting my phone today, I lost all cellular network connection although everything else appears to be fine.
I've tried restarting, hardware reset, new SIM card and safe boot.
I called Sony who advised factory reset which I'm about to try though I doubt it will work. My provider tried steps on their end as well. The liquid indicators are still white so I don't believe water infiltration would cause this issue but who knows.
