Press thanks if i help you
1. First find out on which version of Firmware ( i.e KPE or DDLF2)
2. Then Root your Device with Appropriate CF-ROOT from here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1331253
3. Then Download Alpha3 CM10,gapps from Development Area.
4. Copy them to your Internal SD card incase if your external SD card isnt working.
5. Flash Rom and gapps(without rebooting)- You cant find clear steps in the CM10 thread.
6. Enjoy Jellybean :good:
I've installed the jelly am. Its working great but the only problem is that my external SD card is not being detected. Any suggestions please?

Never try jellybam but i think you have to do clean flash if go from gb to ics/jb and viceversa.or try to remove sd card and reinsert again.

Take backup of all data on sdcard.
I guess you have a card reader/adapter , Format the SD card as quick foramt in FAT32 .
Data allocation to be default.
If the above didnt work.
Just format your data card in mobile.
Let me know if it worked out for you :fingers-crossed:
Yeah its works....but my external SD shows up only in astro file manager..but not opening in the default jb file manager and even not in es file explorer. Any further suggestions are most appreciated.

Ooh.i think i know your problem.on ics/gb there is folder called storage but i forgot which one is sd card storage.in storage folder you will se sdcard 0 and sdcard 1.
Press thanks if i help you
Try this software and format your sdcard , It worked for me.
https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_3/
Ics/Jb is a little bit different from Gb in storage.
The external sd is NOT inside internal.
Go up the internal sd directory,
If the internal shown as sdcard0, the external is sdcard1.

Insert the card in a card reader and attach it to a PC.
- Does the PC recognize the memory card?
- Can you copy a file to your external sd card using a PC?
- Does the card work in any other device that you have?

My Galaxy Grand has 8gb memory of which only 4gb is available to the user and I am left with just 800mb space left, I would like to know if anyone of you can let me know a way to transfer my apps to sd card, also I have hears that one can convert sd card to internal memory after rooting, is that possible, if yes then plese let me know how, also is it possible to transfer apps to sd card without rooting if so plsase let me know how, I would be eagerly looking for a reply.

I'm not really familiar with that device but on most you can grab App2Sd from Google Play and it's self explanatory from there, but some devices (like mine) don't et you move apps to the SD Card, but you can move everything else there
And I'm no moderator, but I'm not so sure this isn't the right section for your question, I think it belongs in Q and A

After rooting you can use Directory Bind to link your internal/external storage, but that's not truly moving them to the SD Card, but I think it's the closest you can get. I don't bother with it, I just move all my big files to my SD Card so I have space for my APK's on my internal storage

without rooting u cant have memory swap..root ur grand and install init.d support. and reboot then install this http://d-h.st/AGR and gain reboot. this will convert external memory to internal and internal to external automatically.
use http://galaxygrandcenter.blogspot.in/2013/03/warning-it-will-void-your-warranty-and.html to root.
and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=39510406&postcount=1 to add init.d

Thank you sir for the help, I have succesfully rooted my phone throught that guide, though there was a little trouble geeting the Clock Work Mode Recovery but finally got it.
Sir can you tell me the actual usage of CWM, can i get backup of my present status through this mode or do i need to use some app like Titanium Backup pro for that purpose and what info would actually be backed up, like would it store info of the present firmware and is the backup point created in the internal memory or the sd card.
Also sir can you please tell me that if I swap my 32gb ext sd card with 4gb internal memory then when I want to get my phone back to normal mode then how am I gonna do so, I mean the sd card would have let's say some 25gb apps and I want to put the phone back to normal, I mean unswap it then how would it be possible as my internal memory would be only 4 gb, will I have to delete apps or use some recovery option, please make that clear, thank you sir for all your help.

Thank you for your reply. The volume of my SD card is 16GB in FAT32 format. Mentioned problems may include with the right of permission to beyond read only mode and setting of android system. Because the photo records is taken by internal machine that can be set to store in external SD card. This kinds of problem have already occurred in Samsung several series machine. Thank you for reply. I have rooted my machine already and trying this right now. But would like to know that except this method. Any method could save data (i.e. photos, installed app and media) to external SD card freely? Just like using of App 2 SD. And then, any method to get the right of permission to beyond read only mode and setting of android system? I would like to fix this problem completely and let it return to S II mode. Anyway thank you very much
For the moment i don't think there is a way to move apps to SD. Only link 2 sd

Well Folder Mount isn't free.
And Apps to SD didn't work for me. Neither did Link 2 Sd work until I created a partition on my SD card (later I removed the partition as I didn't want to spoil my new card and its performance).
You can install apps on internal and then later on move it freely to SD card. It would move all data folder.
I'm doing this and I have rooted phone with stock rom.

Well tap on the (+) button and you will have a window asking for
1. Folder name to be kept.
2. files to be moved.
3.where the files should be.
Select the following and press mount. It will start moving files and then mount.
Hello! I think that needs another topic.
A small question about the problem with SD card on the p5100.
As of 4.1 or 4.2 google has introduced the 'cool' feature - multi-profile system.
Okay, everything is good, but with this 'cool' feature they have changed something with SD cards. Now internal memory is divided to the internal memory and internal SD-card which is considered as an external SD card. All apps are installed there, and my external SD card (32 gb) is now useless. Ofc, I can explore it on a file explorer, but the system thinks it is the second SD card and don't want to move any apps there.
And that's the problem. All apps are instaled on the internal-external SD card and the free-space is.. You know.
I can't update my apps, I can't download new apps - no memory alert.
Cyanogenmod nightly 10.2
So, is there any way to fix it, like Samsung has done to SGS3?
It's getting everything out of me.
On my phone everything is ok, but on the tablet.. :/
And please don't say google it.
I'm searching for this fix for.. months. Can't find anything so posted here.

Already tried.
"App2SD is not supported by your device. Because your Device has a primary external storage which is emulated from the internal storage. You can link the app in order to move its files to your SD card.
That's the problem.
Apps are already installed on the SD card but the wrong one.
Anyway, the emulated SD card has 10 GB free space, the 'proper' SD card has 25GB free.
When I try to update something on G Play, or install any app from my explorer - error, no enough free space.
Oh come on.
i.imgur.com/hWzliZS.png
Where is that "no enough free space"?
For a 200 KB update?!
/edit:
And I think that 'canceling the emulation' of the internal SD card will do a lot for me.. But how. :/

I don't see any app called 'root & clean master'. Anyway can't install any app because I 'don't have enough space'.
Check your internal memory using a pc and see exactly what you have stored there. Over 10GB should be enough for a 200KB update. I suspect something is wrong with your tablet.
Anyway, hard reseted. You can close the topic.

I just got a p3110 last week and have this same issue, Its only a 8gb and I want to install apps to the sd and it will not, did you fix yours? how?
You cannot move or install apps to the external sd card. Only the internal storage. There are methods if you are rooted. Read down the forum topics. There are a few threads discussing this. But stock tablets do not install apps to the external sd card.

I reply here because I spent a lot of time searching through very old posts and trying outdated methods. I didn't know that actually today there is a very easy solution to move whatsapp media folder to SD card. It perfectly worked on my Samsung Galaxy A3 A320FL:
1) Root (I used twrp + magisk method)
2) Download "App2SD" (the original by Vicky Bonick; it's free) and follow instructions on how to create partitions
3) Use "folder mount (app analyzer)" feature, which apparently was not considered in the old posts in this forum, so I suppose it was recently added to App2SD.
It's like folder mount, but it's pre-set for some common apps, including Whatsapp. With this feature, you can successfully move Whatsapp media folder to SD, in one clic.
In my case everything worked fine. When I reboot I have to re-mount folder, but it takes one second (just open Apps2SD, tap Folder Mount, slide "whatsapp other").
