CM10 Boot animation - Droid Incredible Themes and Apps

Any way I can flash this on my CM7 rom?
Thanks!
Sent from my toaster

Sure, push this to /system/media or /data/local:
http://goo.im/devs/tiny4579/mods/bootanimation.zip
The latter location allows easily reverting to the CM7 boot animation by deleting the file in /data/local.

Thanks!

I posted this the other day. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1022687
How are you trying to flash it? Clockwork or RA?
Edit: If you are running a sense rom just rename to bootanimation.zip and put it under system/customize/resource. If on a AOSP rename it and put it in system/media.

Where to put bootanimation.zip ?

I would like to know where the bootanimation.zip should be put, and do dr honks cwm kernels work with bootanimation.zip?
Thanks
If the bootanimation.zip isn't for gs4g it wont work but u can extract the bootloop and boot animation files and push it into systems/ media

I am trying to make a bootanimation.zip using this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=862537 but when i put it in system\media, all i get is a black screen.
The phone only recognises .qmg files for boot you can't put a zip in there

Is there any rom or kernel that supports bootanimation.zip?
Sent from my SGH-T959V using xda premium
The current GB roms don't support bootanimation.zip but the froyo ones above kb5 or with drhonks kernel does.

[Q] Custom CWM flashable Boot Animations ?

Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I997 using XDA
Why do you want flash able zip for that?
Just find a zip of a bootanimation you like, name it appropriately and put it in /system/media
That's how I do it, easy enough.
I generally pull one I want from the zip of then om its in......
I've looked and I can't find any boot animations

I cannot now from my phone, bit I KNOW there are some threads out there as I have found them before posted. Just type in boot animations in the xda search. They are there.

You should have Root Explorer or another file explorer. Your bootanimations are located in System/media folder. The animation will either be sanim.zip or bootanimation.zip. In Root Toolbox you have to go into settings to change where it installs the bootanimation.

^ This... And to add... It might not be a bad idea to replace/add both sanim.zip and bootanimation.zip into that folder... Some kernels use sanim.zip and some use the bootanimation.zip... If you just replace the one and then flash a different kernel, you may get the original animation.
The majority of the boot animations in ROMs/Kernels are going to be "bootanimation.zip" as said by bigfau under system/media directory. But in some cases "sanim.zip"

Nexus 7 bootanimation

Here is the nexus 7 bootanimation. It's pretty. You want it. You love it. So get it. :good:
Here
Rename nexus7.zip to bootanimation.zip
then move to /system/media
reboot
enjoy
Flashable zip working thanks to you guys helping me.
Ok lol. I have been having so many problems lol. I made system writeable, renamed this bootanimation.zip, fixed permissions, and removed bootanimation.zip from /system/media and replaced it with this one. Still not working. What am I missing?

What did you set permissions to? and what rom are you using?
I am using the most recent SkyICS 4.2F I believe and I just ran fix permissions in ROM manager.

I don't believe you are able to use a custom boot animation with SkyICS.

Not a CWM flashable zip. Go to /system/media, rename "bootanimation.zip" to "bootanimation.zip.old", push nexus7.zip to system/media, rename to "bootanimation.zip", set permissions to rw-r--r--.
Works... triiiipppyyy, haha. Liking this a bit more than CM9's default... Idk. Just really not a fan of their new mascot.

Well I can change boot animations with Rom Toolbox so I dont see why I can't change them manually....... doesn't make much sense.

Ha, their new mascot is a bit interesting. I like this nexus7 boot a lot, but i wish the colors were a bit brighter. I might edit it some and see what i can do with it.
Got it, looks awesome. Thanks!
