Sixaxis controller issues - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hope this is the right place, I know it's question but this is the Apps section. If wrong place, sorry, didn't want to gum up the Roms/Flashing q&a area.
So I paired my PS3 controller using the Sixaxis app on the Play Store but when I try to use it on the SuperGNES emulator (lite version), it seems only one button or so works. I bought the app since my phone said it was successfully paired using the compatibility app.
Has anyone on here played with it and able to tell me what you did to map the buttons? I got a bit frustrated and quit for now. I'm running CleanRom currently and I know the controller is paired correctly.
Any help is much appreciated!!

Do you mean one button at a time only works? If so does clean ROM have multi touch working?
Phone: HTC One XL
ROM: ParanoidAndroid 2.54

I had a similar issue. Check this thread out for my solution-

I am actually now on Viperxl but I have original PS3 controllers. I know it's paired correctly and that was easy.
So I downloaded Droidemu (pretty nifty emu instead of getting them all separate), it loads my games perfectly but I dint see an option to configure a wireless controller.
Thanks for your reply.

I'm on Viperxl now. Just changed last night. However about your question, yes- just seems one button works. The controller is paired. There's an option to use a wireless controller in the emulator. I can toggle the Sixaxis controller under keyboards in settings too.

After Christmas I decided to try this again, I'd like to thank you for the Droid.emu suggestion. Now I'm playing my favorite SNES games on my phone with a PS3 controller. Who would've thought..............

Mesmerize as a bluetooth keyboard

Was wondering If there was a program that lets u use a android device as a bluetooth keyboard. im looking to use my mesmerize as a bluetooth keyboard with my PS3.
Just a thought. Check out unified remote in the market. I use it as a wifi keyboard on my computer. They have a version 2 out but its not in the market. You have to go to they're website to get it. Its in beta right now and I keep getting kicked off their server but they'll get the bugs worked out

I haven't been able to find one yet.. Several XDA members have been looking into writing an app but to my knowledge nobody has gotten far with it...
If you find one that works please let us know!!!
I'm wanting one to control the blu ray player and everything a normal remote would do...
I just saw an app for that in appbrain, also in the market. It's called PRemotedroid. Its says its a wifi/Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I've never used it but it might be worth a shot

That is correct, for the PC. Has to have the server software installed on the PC.
Has anyone had any experience with App Inventor for Android?
If so maybe you should read up on this..

Wonder if we could make our own ps3 bluetooth remote

Xoom Controller Q's

I know there is that thread for the Xbox controller, but how about ps3, can that connect wirelessly? Or even with the cord? Is the only thing I need to get this working is a USB OTG deal?
Also what games are you guys using with these controllers, I know a lot of people are using emulators, but what apps are you using to get them and the ROMs? Also besides emulators, what other games are working well with controllers?

Yea man this is pretty sweet. You just have to map the keys correctly and it works flawlessly. I like the feeling of the ps3 controller more than my xbox 360 controller.

Do you map it through android settings or what? I had a wiimote hooked up when i got the Xoom, but pretty much just to test it. I wasn't ver thrilled. But for that there was an app since it was wireless.

I was curious about this too. The 3.1 update comes with the additional keylayout files for the controllers and their mappings (there's even one for a logitech racing wheel) so would you really NEED to remap them?

He must be talking about remapping in the emulators themselves. The 3.1 update, even if it does have full profiles for the various compatible controllers, will only map keys in the OS itself. Programs that support the profiles will work automatically, or that happen to use the same keys i.e. just because the triangle button on the dualshock is mapped to "g" doesn't mean that SNESoid automatically maps the y button to g. This is what I would expect the case to be, anyway

[Q] JellyBam 3.0.0 - How do I use my wired Xbox 360 Controller with my phone?

Using rohan.kernel b6 with OTG, and nothing really happens when I plug the 360 controller in. The xbox button ring blinks as expected, but my phone doesn't seem to detect it. No game detects it, and I cannot move around the UI with it.
Edit: OTG is definitely working, keyboards and USB sticks work perfectly fine with the phone.
bump.
Did you find an answer? Is this kernel specific not rom specific, I heard once that it was dependant on both but gave up. I would like to get it now vice city is availiable.

I had the same quesrion which I posted in the apps section about a week ago. Someone pointed me to Droid.emu on Play Store. However, I am using a factory PS3 controller. I'm running Viper 2.4.1 w/ElementalX kernel. After you map the buttons it works flawless. This is on emulators of course.
Hope this helps you.

Thanks for your advice. I think the ps3 is Bluetooth which is a little different. The 360 controller USB and some games such as the GTA ones support it natively. However I can not get any response from it in jellybam with siyah kernel.

Gaming on theTronsmart T428 (or any Android TV Stick)

Hi Guys,
I have been messing with the T428 as an alternative to my Apple TV 2 (ATV2 is Rubbish) I have bought an Air Mouse (works great out of the box)
However I have a few questions:
I tried setting up some games:
Stupid Zombies (cannot click play / start)
Angry birds (cannot click play / start)
Asphalt (cannot click play / start)
My air mouse should support Gyro functions, and I thought the T428 played the games too...
anyone having similar issues with their Android TV devices?
Thanks
ace

Nope sorry, but still looking into it
if you have both rkremote and droidmote server installed they will not play nice with each other and change how certain imputs are registered by the sistem, like click become enter button in some apps so they wont work.
maybe the same happens with sixaxis controller app

Moga controller (play store apps and emulator compatible)

I'm not sure if a thread has been opened for this but the Moga Pro Controller is the best thing I've used for an all around android controller.
Can even fit the note 2 for mounting example with a phone.
Comes with Stand for tablets.
Connects using Bluetooth.
Multi device support
Internal battery with over 10 hour battery life (will have to double check but its a lot)
MOGA APP
DONATIONS ACCEPTED. THIS DOES TAKE TIME OUT OF MY DAY. A FEW DOLLARS TO BUY MY LITTLE KID A TOY OR TAKE OUT IS GREATLY APRECIATED

I almost got this but went with the gameklip instead. I have some really nice bluetooth headphones and using this would have made it impossible to use them. I'm glad you like it though.

What sorcery is this? I thought you could only have one bluetooth device connected at a time.
Oh well. I'm still happy with the gameklip.
The Moga app and in game support for many apps sets the Moga apart. Developers for new android games are incorporating the controller in there apps. No game clip or any other gamepad has had this versatility. Not to mention the new Samsung controller is suppose to come out but looks far to bulky.
Video to come shortly....
Stay tuned

Connection issues?
Is anyone else having connection issues with they're Moga Pro?
I just purchased one yesterday and I love it but I'm having some trouble with it and not sure if it's my rom/kernel or what... I'm running ARHD 9.3 and the ElementalX 0.11 kernel. The issues I'm having is that when playing games in Mode A the controller sometimes looses bluetooth connecting and won't reconnect until I exit the game and go back to the Moga app. I also had trouble setting it up to work with Mode A and Mode B. Using the Moga app to setup the controller I choose "Setup Mode A and Mode B" which had me sync Mode B first which worked fine but then when it got to syncing Mode A it just couldn't do it. So I cleared everything and tried just setting up Mode A in the Moga app and that worked fine. It just would not do both at the same time so right now I only had Mode A setup and when I want to use Mode B for emulators and stuff I have to unsync Mode A and then manually setup Mode B through the Android Bluetooth Connection settings which works fine.
BTW I'm using the new HTC One... I just noticed this thread was under the Samsung section. I was linked here from a post in the HTC One section.

Moga Pro by far. It has mode A and B. One for Play Store Games and one for Emulators. The Pocket only has one mode. The Pro also feels better.

I had the HTC One but I did not have a chance to test the Moga Controller on it. It may be the phone and Moga needs an update. If you have a custom Rom and Kernel it is highly likely that could be causing your issue. Do a Backup of your ROM and try Stock to test and see.
Glad I got rid of the HTC One I had because there was a dead pixel and I even still can not find the stock HTC One Rom

It's a bit cheaper than the gameklip and ps3 controller together. I think the ps3 controller wins though.

For Root users I agree, but ONLY for Root users. The Moga is a better situation for Android going forward.
