Hi guys, I finally managed to boot my first MIUI v4 ROM.
There may be some little bugs, but we're working to fix them all!

Think most of the Bugs are caused by The Fact the Framework is for the P990 Would it not be easier to use MIUI Patchrom to patch CM10 rather than using one from 2X?
Because arcee has made some changes to the Telephony Framework to make the GSM radio Func

Yeah I also think most issues are framework related.
That's a very quick port, and I don't know how to patch the framework with MIUI patchrom.
That's why I wrote "DEVS-NEEDED".
I'm totally inexpert: I need some suggestions and someone who can collaborate with me!

Try Porting From Optimus Black its the most similar device. Or Get Vitreous Studio to Extract Framework.jar Search for all miui values in another window extract cm 10 framework and manually Copy all the miui values from p990 miui framework to the o3d framework folder and then compile it then try it with all the jar files and do the same for all then try the ROM again

I'm working on running cm10 through miui patchrom. Currently fixing smali rejects, First patch went way better then the ported ics rom...but still probibly 30 rejects to deal with..I'll post my progress here,,,I may restart tonight with latest nightly as i think i messed up on a couple smali files, anyone who wants to help send me a pm.

I think so too i patched 28dec cm10 only issue was miui framework res had to manually patch it with overlay files and Phone.apk had to manually remove and add stuff in manifest and xml folder it went well when i tried booting all i get is bootloop and that entropy died meda.audio camera etc died so i tried porting the usuall rem app framework media like i did with cm7 i get the same results best i could get was fix the camera died and entropy died ics built with only two rejects. i wonder i there is an app to compare two folders so i can compare working framework with patched non working.
if anyone knows such an app it would be great could even help porting 3d to cm10 straight from framework since we do not have the source

i have tried porting from LG OB Nexus Galaxy nexus SII they all failed btw the there was no preload-classes and manifest folder in framework.jar on your port
Yeah, I know. As I wrote above, that's a very fast port, with some bugs.
But that's the best I managed to do.
I also tried to port from different devices with pretty identical hardware (such as Galaxy SII i9100G or Droid Razr), but every port had more issues than the O2X one.
In i9100G port, btw, the auto brightness levels were ok, but there were force closes in several system apps, such as settings.apk, camera.apk or mms.apk.
got winmerge will try a different approach to this might take a while it got me thinking since we can patch CM10 With MIUI Framework Would this method not Work With LG's Real 3D Framework Just Compare the Difference but it probably work only with CM9.
Comparison LG ICS Framework With : ICS AOSP,CM9,Another ICS Device Without Real3D on LG's ICS Framework could work out the differences would it not just be a case of copy paste of smali code anyway just thinking out loud here.

The releases will co-inside and the build start time is at 03:01 UTC every sunday night or on special occasion, and should be uploaded soon after. If at anytime the builds are not there, then there was a problem building the ROM, and we will have a look at it ASAP.
CM9 is not actively developed anymore, neither from my side, nor upstream - please consider installing CM10.1 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2092937)

These builds are compiled from the latest CyanogenMod repos and device repos on device and vendor files.
Furthermore these builds are multiDPI, i.e. you can run the rom at any dpi between 160 and 240 while having hi-res assets.
Because of the locked bootloader of the P940 this is a 2nd-init rom, which means that the recovery is included within every system update. So if you want a recovery other than the included you need to reapply it after an update.

We can now sign boot images and therefore a custom kernel is included:

Initial install
Make sure you are updated to stock LG ICS update (v20d) prior flashing the first time.
And remember to wipe data/cache
(These steps need only to be done once. Later updates can be just flashed over an existing installation without the need of a wipe)

CM9 are for ICS ROMs while CM10 are for JB ROMs and unfortunately we don't have Beans as of this date.

we use a few precompiled bits like audio and ril because lg decided to use non-standard implementations for most of the stuff.
these arent fully compatible with jellybean, so there are more issues on jb than on ics.
the latest stock firmware is ics it is much less of a hassle debugging cm9 as i got something to look at.
i decided to port cm9, work out most of the bugs and try to get most of the stuff working compiling from non-lg bits.
moving to jellybean from there will be much easier then.
once cm9 is rockstable it wont be long until cm10.

of course you need to do a full data wipe if you are coming from a lg rom.
for storage mounting options, press menu at the options->storage screen. you can then choose between mtp and mass storage (or even ptp)
To me already not turn me on the mobile, always stays in the animacon. I decided to the V20D new flashearde with flashtool and I feel the same.
Edit: Hard Reset with buttons VOL-, Power and Camera and arranged problem.
For me, It stucks on Prada Logo.
Edited: I have already done a full wipe.
Is this rom running of CM9 Kernel or stock

Milaq do you have a fix on bootanimation sound and system ui sound low? I tried editing system ui sound and maximize their volumes but still low. :crying:

it should be compatible cause I used the same source as CM10 just the ramdsisk is a bit different I think

No simple stock P920 Gingerbread roms did not work for some reason internal memory card did not mount. Plus camera got flipped and the keypad issue.
Cm7 for P920 at that time had the exact same problems. I do not understand why cynogen do not support SU760
I do hope somebody will work on it.

IMHO is merely a matter of sources.
Atm the 3.0 CM kernel sources are not downloadable but if it will be possible there will be no reason to not support better the su760.
I tried to compile the stock su760 sources with CM10 ramdisk with no success.

they are downloadable you have to use:
git clone git://github.com/CyanogenMod/lge-kernel-omap4/ <I'm not sure if here> -b android-omap-3.0 <or here the local folder>

you should update to v20d(ics) first, then root it and flash this cm10 in recovery mode

nah, just apply the cm10 update and you should be ready to go.
you might have to wipe data under special circumstances but that happens rather seldom. try it without any wipe first.

Yup, already figured that out, all else fails, back to cm9 recovery then flash cm10 then wipe data & cache, TTBackup the apps and all fine then comes the Gapps, too many force closes encountered, will try to clean again from CM9 then install CM10 then Gapps.
Sorry for that, already figured it out!
Anyway I already felt the "buttery" smoothness of JB + CM Rom! Fantastic.
EDIT: Oh I almost forgot, the caller echo has been minimized, but it still echoes, loudspeaker at call option is still not present, Auto Brightness seems a little buggy, it works on startup then stops. But all in all, it still the JB + CM stands out. :thumbup:

I had the same problem, i.e force closing. Data and Cache wipes after the occurrence of the problem didn't help. Finally flashed CM9, flashed Gapps for ICS, wiped data, rebooted, flashed CM10 & Gapps, wiped Data, reboot. May be wiping data twice doesn't make sense, but did it coz I didn't want to redo everything in case it failed.

Hi Milaq, Thanks for the CM10 update.
Tried CM10 nightly builds of 16th & 17th. Observed the following:
1) DATA Toggle button missing from Notification drawer. It was present in CM9.
2) Both USB & WiFi tethering are not working in CM10, the DHCP lease option is also missing. WiFi tethering was working well in CM9.
3) The TORCH application is now working in CM10, it wasn't working in CM9.
Otherwise the system was found to be working smoothly.
Kindly look into the first 2 issues, when ever you have time.

does anyone get a gps lock? i'm currently fiddling around with the RIL's at commands and any feedback would be nice (or even a logcat of a gps init)

gps seems to be fixed.
phew, what a ride. i was already pulling my hair out, because i couldn't reproduce the issue.
it seems like ril/gps are accessing /data/cache by creating a file (3gpp.socket). this folder is only present if you had cm9 20121105 or older installed and never wiped data. this dates back to an early commit of mine (https://github.com/milaq/android_device_lge_p940/commit/fc74ab2fcb7f541356b8248a0a263ea9feb9cd40)
i corrected this issue and gps should be fully functional as of tonights build.
pls report back in case it doesnt work.

1. The camera app is missing on mine. I flashed your cm 10 build coming from the last version of your cm9 and i noticed the camera app is missing?
2. As said above, torch already works
3. I find it faster than the cm9 generally so good work here

nah, camera is still there. if you are searching for camera.apk you wont find it. the cam interface is now included in the gallery.

also noticed that autobrightness is a bit dodgy atm. i'll have a look at it if i have some spare time.

As is the case with all CM10 based ROMs No HDMI and No 3D and any baseband that works for your region should work, Personally
I am using ICS V28B baseband.

I have installed this today and it is really nice. Runs nice and smooth. Only two problems so far, Internal/External SD cards isn't mounting properly. I tried creating symlinks but it still wont show up in storage. Can you post a proper fstab that works for this rom and P920 or something that can help get this fixed? I also noticed that apart from the default camera app, all other camera apps have the rotated camera bug. Apart from that had no problems. Many thanks.

Should be fine I haven't installed directly from ICS but see no reason why it wouldn't work if you have wkparks bootloader installed.

You have SU760 partition table by the sound of it change the following /storage/sdcard0 15 to /storage/sdcard0 16 in /system/etc/vold.fstab
Stock camera works fine, look into defcomg's rotation fix for other camera apps.

Nope just tried something's wrong. Mobile internet's not working and i think no signal as well. Resetting APN settings or manually chose the net don't work either.
Well beside that it's looking delicious. But only for that downgrade to GB? Naa :/
edit: It's only mobile internet which doewsn't work

Well the 28b-BB is the only one since ages without an echo :good:
So for the time being I'll live without mobile internet I hope you can fix it soon kidkoala. This ROM is really fast and smooth my new favorite even without internet. And it's beautiful too since all apps are made dark :good:
There are only two options missing maybe you can look at that too: There is no flashlight for the quick-settings pulldown available. It's a cool feature so I think it should be added.
The other feature missing is to hide the hints for the next pages in the lockscreen. Or maybe I'm just unable to find it. Makes the lockscreen kinda ugly unfortunately.
But don't get me wrong it's all in all without a doubt an awesome work I really like!
i absolutely love this rom over all other jellybean roms simply because its the most smoothe and responsive (mostly), here are the bugs though that ive experience. long pressing home doesnt take you to the recent tasks/app switcher, it just does nothing. google voice input doesnt work and it simply keeps force closing wether its google now or the keyboard. games like real racing (havent tried any others as yet) force close as soon as gameplay is about to begin.
Hope i was able to help the development of this rom and make it better, ill give more feedback as i use it.

What is this?
This is a direct port of Android L Developer Preview, which was released for the Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 (2013, WiFi). This is not a SDK port, this is the real deal!
How did you do it?
Magic! Just kidding, a lot of hard work went into porting everything. Special thanks to these mega awesome guys, this ROM would've not been possible if they didn't help us (make sure you thank them too):
sykopompos - For helping me out with ramdisk and providing useful tips
poondog - For helping me fix the graphical glitches in kernel (and yes, I am using his awesome kernel)
feltox and manups4e - For helping me in additional debugging of the builds
What works and what doesn't work?
At the moment, this port is in alpha stages. We are working really hard every day to fix the major issues quickly, but since this is a non-Nexus device, it's quite complicated to get things working smoothly. Half of the things work, half of the things don't work.
You are more than welcome if you want to help us in fixing bugs, together we can eliminate the bugs and fix issues faster

How to install:
Download the ROM
Place the ROM in your internal storage/SD card
Reboot into recovery (MUST BE LATEST TWRP/CWM)
Wipe the following partitions: cache, dalvik cache, data and system

Q. Can I flash a custom kernel on top of it?
A. No, we use a heavily modified ramdisk and kernel, so if you flash another kernel the ROM will stop booting. DO NOT FLASH ANY CUSTOM KERNEL ON TOP OF THIS
Q. XYZ doesn't work
A. This ROM is currently in ALPHA stages so that is expected. On top of that, Android L is currently a developer preview so any bugs in the developer preview will show up on this port as well.

Those bugs should be fixed much quicker now that more people have acces to it... at least I hope so.
you forgot to mention that mtp doesn't work properly too....to me htc one is shown on mobile devices but i can't access the sdcard without adb
What is the kernel used? Maybe that is the main reason for most of the bugs since most of them are driver related issues.

I'm not sure what one of my guys did to fix that but it was fixed. What are you guys using for your base? N5 and n7 mixed or the n4 port? We fixed a lot of things in the port that wasn't working right in the Dev preview

The kernel is by @poondog, he modified it a bit to fix the graphical glitches on our ROM.
proprietary files from gpe have different dimensions then the cm ones....if we are using cm cafs isn't it better to use cm proprietary files?

I've split the boot image and seen that yesterday. I might look at the gpe ramdisk tomorrow and maybe that can be cleaned up a bit better then mucking around in the cm one removing the extra crap that you guys don't have and if you did would probably break L

I am not using anything from CM in the latest build, it's all from GPE

You guys should have used the n4 port as a base, there is a lot of stuff that we went through and fixed in it that is broken if you use the developer preview bases. I thought you switched to us for your base and that is why I couldn't understand why some things weren't working when I knew they were working and fixed in the n4 port

ahahaha i'm italian...forgive me...in italy bytes and multiples are called "dimensioni" and i translated accidentally wrong ^^ what i was saying is that cm proprietary files and gpe proprietary files have different filesizes ^^

I tried to but was having way more issues. Anyway, I'll look into that again tomorrow, right now I have to clean the builds, there are lots of libs and files that are specific to flo and serve no purpose to m7 so gotta throw them away.
