Hello. I just updated to the latest CM 10.1 Nightly for the Nexus S 4G and noticed I was not connecting through Google Services (WiFi and 3G never turned "blue") yet I can browse websites. When I went into Accounts, it had all my accounts except my Google account. When I went into "Add Account", Google wasn't even an option. Is there something I overlooked in the change log or is this a problem that hasn't been reported yet? Thanks!

Did you flash the 4.2.1 gapps? Clean install?

I'm an idiot. I didn't realize that I needed to update the gapps for the 10.1 nightly. I see it on the page now. I'll try that and report back. Thanks!

Alright the gapps flash worked. I did have to uninstall/reinstall Google Play Music for some reason, but other than that all looks to be fine so far. Thanks again!
oh nice....we finally got 10.1? Can't wait to flash it and give it a run!

Ok, hey guys,
My street view on google maps never works, on 4.0.4 and now a 4.1.1 rom i got from here, when i press on a area in google maps it just says loading and nothing happens, PLEASE give me a sloution, im on a note 10.1 fyi....
should work, have you tried to reinstall street view? cleaning cache/program temp etc?
Just seems to work randomly, its ok now, so strange, tnx though

Was on my note 10.1, unsure of the rom, ive updated it now anyway, well....sometimes

I've never had such issues. You may directly submit this BUG to Google which will pay attention to it if you explain your problem completely.

it's always better to search/post problem in the ROM thread...
most probably ROM is creating problem with VOIP..so google voice is not working!
Again posting in ROM thread will surely solve ur problem!

I did search but I didn't find an answer that work correct my problem.
Can you explain your problem more specifically? For instance, what happens and what does the system say when you try to install an apk or download the app from Play Store? 100 problems may have 100 solutions.

It let me install Google voice and go through all the steps but so as it loads up my messages it Force Close

Well, have you ever had the same problem while running other ROM's, such as CM or native android? If not, then this must be a BUG of MIUI.

yes I have tried CM 10.1 and other roms and never had this problem
About a week ago, whenever I use any app that has anything to do with Google Play Services Google unexpectedly stops working...
Does anyone know how to fix this
The same is happening to me. If this continue I will reinstall stock with rsd lite, Im on stock, dont know why this is happening.

Mine has been doing this as well and clear cache or reinstalling doesn't help. Here is to hoping 4.4.4 fixes this issue or Google updates the Play Services app again...

ART here, guess I could try switching back again to see what happens
ART is known to cause this problem with Google Play Services. Hopefully it is fixed in the new update that we should be getting shortly.

Sound doesn't work sometimes as in the ringer doesn't work as well? Or just the media?

When i flashed the last preview (20141512) i had no mobile data and i cant even install an app because it says app not installed whyyyyy

but i've installed the latest build that i downloaded today.
the problem is i can not install apps from play store nor local apk's on the phone.
i tried to delete my google acount and set it again.
i also tried to clear the play store data and google services data and nothing helped.
what can i do to solve that?

How often you are going to update GearCM? What happens with the updates CM is offering if we already have your version.?
gapps not installing
Every thing worked great but am unable to install gapps, I get failure status 6, I can't install any apk.
I have cwm, tried flashing the minimal and full gapps linked in the main thread .both failed .
Am back to cm 11 sadly .
can someone tell me once and for all the CORRECT RECOVERY that can flash this rom without any error 7???
my S4 is GT-I9500 running Stock 4.4.2
I've tested bunch of Recoveries from Philz, to CWM To TWRP, none work, would app appreciate anyone giving me the right Recovery that can flash this rom.

Used TRWP 2.8.1.0 with full full wipes except internal SD and external SD with no issues
I appreciate the link. I couldn't find it on official TWRP Site. they does not seem to officially support GT-I9500.

I recently tried to upgrade my tab (p5110) to the latest version available for it. Works pretty well so far but after installing gapps for 6.0 (armx86) the Google services keeps crashing constantly on startup.
Any solution for that?

Go into app settings and give it permissions to everything.

i can´t since the pop up is keeping the tab from beeing used. i have to wipe the whole thing after installing the gapps

yeah, found that solution by myself yesterday in the evening, but thx alot!
so anyone who encounters the same issue: make sure your twrp is on version 3.x
