ehm.. I appreciate your effort to copy and paste, but I think that literally 100% of the people on xda knows this app.. it's basically on every "top android apps" list.
Also, you could have easily posted the link to the android market, especially since the latest version is 2.8.1504 (you are posting 2.7)

The operation is very simple Clippy.

2 - Register for the application
3 - Create your room in Clippy
4 - Invite your friends to the courtroom through WhatsApp, Clippy giving in to the option to share room.

From your description sounds like an IRC chat client for the cell, more than a instant messaging client like whatsapp.
Well, this application is free for life, besides being a different concept, here you create your private room and can only enter where you want to enter and have more privacy than WhatsApp, anyone can talk to anyone.

I am a first-time Android developer, and I developed a very simple Address Book app, called Contakts.
It is extremely minimalist, and presents contacts synchronized with your Google account in a clean UI making full using of KitKat 4.4 transparency.
WhatsApp is integrated, allowing you to start conversations with a particular contact right where you left off.
Facebook integration is also present, which allows you to view contact information of your friends on Facebook
Note: The app currently does not sync Facebook contact information with your phone.
I would love to improve this app, based on suggestions and feedback received from the community, so i'd appreciate if you tried it out. If you like it, please do rate and/or review it.

Another chat? Yes. No. Wait! Did you ever hang with friends in downtown and wanted to split? But hesitated - how will you find them again? Sure, you can agree to meet in an hour in certain spot. But what if you are late? Or what if they see some fun place and want you to come there? This app can help! You see yours and your friends’ locations on the map in real time. And you can text them – the map and chat share the same screen.
Do you like hiking in parks and want to share your location with relatives at home? Are you an avid fisherman and want your buddy to get to this real good spot you just found? Do you have guests coming to your cottage but don’t want to call them to check how far they are? With Location Chat you save time and have piece of mind that you are connected!
Location is updated with the frequency controlled by the app settings (10 seconds to 5 minutes). You have full control of whether you're sending your location updates. Disable it at any time or let the timer to turn it off. Your location is shared within the chat. Contacts in other chats will not see it, unless you choose to enable it there.
Share a place of interest on the map: simply add a marker with the icon of what it is, e.g. "Picnic Site" or "Cabin", and your friends will see it too.
