I wrote this app for myself a few years ago, and to this day it continues to be on of the most-used apps on my phone. At the end of some days I'll have sent 5-10 messages to myself via Duly Noted. I'm now releasing it for free for others to benefit from the productivity it provides!
Duly Noted allows you to configure 1-2 shortcut buttons that instantly send notes to pre-configured email addresses using a Google account on your phone to deliver the message.
Using a traditional email client, you must navigate the interface and type out a "To:", "Subject:", "Body:", etc. With Duly Noted you can quickly focus on your note and then just tap the shortcut and you're done! (greatly reducing the time it takes you to send the note) Watch the video above!

Because I've always wanted pop-up ads on my phone!!
I tried it for about 5 minutes.
I received a 'new message notification' that turned out to be an advertisement to try some product, and I immediately removed the application. I understand the merits--as well as the downsides--of ad-based products, but getting advertisements as pop-up notifications on my mobile phone sucks!

You know, I find that it works just as well to just change your email notification settings on facebook. This way, you'll get an email alert when people comment on photos (for example).
Windows Mobile gives you a popup notification of the new email, and then you accomplish exactly the same thing as FriendMobilizer promises, without adding an extra app

Developer Notes
Social Notification is my first Android app. I learned to develop for Android while creating a concept, which became Social Notification.
I'm one of those guys who tweet 100 times per day, so I wanted a way to post to twitter without leaving the app I'm currently using. That was the motivation behind Social Notification. After starting the development, I found it would be nice to have an option to share with any other app, not only directly to twitter. I hope Social Notification saves your time just like it saves mine!

-In some cases the friends list (people you follow) is not complete. It looks like an issue of Twitter4j or TwitterAPI, and I'm investigating it

I used i for a long time but what drove me away was the lack of clarity on business model and privacy. What the app is really doing, is it phoning home my data/metadata etc. Couldnt find anything explicit in terms of privacy (FAQ), then that split between Blue/Type mail, what is (if any) diff in privacy approach and so on. Switched to Inbox for all my Google accts, dont need another pair of eyes (Google's are way more than enough) staring at my communication.
Maybe I am just too paranoid but...
I still have it installed, but frozen and with my email passwords changed and OAuth revoked.

Is there any email app with two things in one app. 1. resizing images and 2. push? I really cant believe that android cant handle these two simple things!! I know you can have apps to resize and so on, but am I asking really too much? So is my options buy example samsung/sony/etc. with working email app or go to I-store? I have tried atleast 25 different apps and now I am so tired of this sh*t.

@Greenmonkeys I have an issue every time I flash a new ROM and then use Titanium Backup to restore your email app.
The email app opens fine and see's all of my email accounts.
But it does not download the emails.
If I go to More | Various Account Settings | Choose the account | Edit Account | Update Password...
It just errors with this message:

It does this to all my Hotmail/Live accounts.
And if I go into the "Incoming/Outgoing Settings" and re-do the password there, it seems to go through without error, but still does not pull up any emails.
I'm tired of having to set up all my emails from scratch everytime I flash a new ROM. Any suggestions?

But what if you are late? Or what if they see some fun place and want you to come there? This app can help! You see yours and your friends’ locations on the map in real time. And you can text them – the map and chat share the same screen.
Do you like hiking in parks and want to share your location with relatives at home? Are you an avid fisherman and want your buddy to get to this real good spot you just found? Location is updated with the frequency controlled by the app settings (10 seconds to 5 minutes). You have full control of whether you're sending your location updates. Disable it at any time or let the timer to turn it off. Your location is shared within the chat. Contacts in other chats will not see it, unless you choose to enable it there.
Share a place of interest on the map: simply add a marker with the icon of what it is, e.g. "Picnic Site" or "Cabin", and your friends will see it too. And of course all normal functions of a messaging app are included: group and individual chats with text and picture sharing, forwarding and replies.
You can use Location Chat on smart phone or tablet with a data plan. Just register an account and you are ready to go. No personal information (phone number, email, etc.) required.

Rather than forgetting to give your better half the attention they deserve—perhaps you’re in a conference call or very busy with work—Gentlemen’s Assistant (GA) will, cleverly, send text messages of your choosing to, and smartly prompt you to call and email, your significant other to remind them that they mean a lot to you.
Some people are, very much, against automation technology like this, but we believe that anything that can help keep communication high between loved ones is, in the long run, a good thing. GA, by default, will not take any action and largely act as a helpful reminder, and we recommend this type of use.
Warning: GA works well when used sparingly with simple messages—perhaps too well. While it’ll give your significant other the attention they need, they’ll be inclined to reply back and, at this time, GA is not intelligent enough to reply in context—so you’ll need to reply back yourself.

Helpful Hints
GA can be used to regularly touch base with anyone you care about, not just loved ones!
Use short and sweet, but generalized, messages. Sending a simple “I love you” once a day is far better than sending “You looked amazing in that black dress!”
More varied messages tend to work best.
Disable messages when you and your significant other are together—or select Not Today when notified. While you can schedule messages outside of times you’re likely to be together, you don’t want messages to be sent when you are, for example, sitting right next to them at breakfast.
Don’t wait for GA’s automation! If you are feeling extra loving, let your loved one know in the moment!
Known issues
RCS support is incomplete. RCS messages will not be displayed properly in notifications and messages will be sent as SMS.
Email reminders are still a work-in-progress and we plan to have this completed soon.
