[REQUEST] Sony XLoud mod for jb sense rom (Viper 3.0) - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Feel kinda dumb posting this here instead of the viper thread but I need to get my post count up to start posting in the dev threads lol. But anyways, is it possible to flash the Sony xloud mod on the new sense jellybean stacked with beats audio like on the previous version of viper Rom? Thought Id ask since it produced incredible audio. Thanks
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app

Just give it time. There's hardly anything incorporated yet, only because Jellybean JUST got released. They can't have all of the new features added into a new everything within 24 hours. Just sit tight and it'll all be okay soon enough.

Have you tried using that pimp my rom app from the playstore. You might be able to use that to get it but i havent tried yet

What you have to do is wipe, install a fresh ICS ROM, then restore whatever you want. You can't restore straight from JB. Hope that helps.

xloud/bravia and psCerts all work on J.B ive been using them since we got the J.B rom. you cannot flash them via the zip as it will black screen you. Install all the elements before you flash your rom and its golden. I think we need xxXpatchaXxx to redo the updater script to match the J.B permissions set.

Do you have a link that can give instructions on how to do this? I've reverted back to jellybam in the meantime and have installed the awesome beats mod but the sound quality just isn't anywhere close to sense beats + xloud.

Unzip the ics xloud/bravia zip. Copy the files you find in the zip to your phone, use es and copy them to the same locations.as the zip locations. You have to also add lines the build.prop.

I think thats a little over my head so I may just wait until they are added to viper. Thanks for the info tho.

I see the scripts for editing the build.prop in the tools folder, which one should be used though, the bravia or xloud? and should you only extract the same corresponding bravia or xloud folder based on what script you used?
So I guess what should be used, bravia or xloud for the ViperXL 3.0.0 rom?
EDIT: nevermind, I want xLoud, wish me luck, here we go.

[MOD] OC on boot via INIT.D Fixed update.zip

now that we have Init.d support in our boot.img i have been tinkering around with loading coolbho's overclock modules on boot so i don't have to go to caremy computer or use clunky smanager app to run my .sh
well I had some time today to sit down and iron out the kinks and everything is working this will only work on your phone if you are using a boot.img that supports INIT.D
Cleanrom has this by default as do other roms available.. if you want init.d support download the boot.img's by scrosler for the init.d support
Changlog:
06/05/12
Added run-parts to system/xbin
added sysinit to system/bin
Revamped /system/etc/init.d/30cpu
placed OC module somewhere the system can reach it
Fixed updaterscript
6/6/12
Added scroslers updated .zip
He was kind enough to fix the permissions in the updater script
Added to op
This mod will ONLY LOAD THE MODULE
You MUST set your max clock up to 1.8ghZ
This mod just loads the krait_oc.ko and enables the undervolt settings called for by coolbho in his original thread
Attached to this post you will find the mod.
how to install:
Download mod
place on your internal SD
reboot to recovery
flash mod
reboot to system
Reboot
set overclock to 1.8
if your overclock is not available your boot.img does not have init.d support
If you like my work hit the thanks button and make sure to swing by one of scroslers threads to thank him as well
Thanks! is this flashable? Or how do we install?

[MOD] Beats Audio Sense/CM9 Roms

Hello Everyone.
Since a few of us are using custom roms i just wanted to share the beats Audio That i found on the forms that works with CM9 and Sense Roms.
If you are on a Sense rom that doesn't have beats audio Download the 5.1 zip from
The Original Thread Here.
CM9 Users Can use the current Beta Located Here *Recomended*
Or
You can download 5.1 from the original thread. open the zip file and remove the HTC apks then flash. *note i haven't tried this method but it should work*
All credit goes to RockoDev
but why would cm users want that? the built-in equalizer does exactly the same thing...
Thanks its always cool to have options! Will look into it later
Sent from my HTC VLE_U using xda premium
Personally I find this easier and sounds a lil better.
Plus i'm pretty sure this does a better job than cm built in eq
I downloaded CM9 version. How do you know if it works? There is no Beats logo in notifications. Where would I find it in system? Thanks for this thread.
Edit: found out only sense roms show Beats in notifications.

I'm not sure why but the sound is Way different using the cm equalizer. I think that when a device comes with beats audio on it that means the amp for sound is separated from the other electric boards and has the beats audio equalizer. It's in a post by MKBHD. The HTC ONE sounds far better when you are on stock and are able to use the factory setup.

Wow i can't believe some one is still running cm9 lol. But anyway the beats audio thing is really just an preset eq. So as stated before you can use any eq setup (their are plenty) that work for CM9. I recommend having a nandroid and a few different options ready to flash and test them to find one you like.
That's what I thought too but found out that devices with beats audio have a bit more to them. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Cdbn_pmxFic
More I'm on cm 10.1.3. Tried cm11 but it doesn't have the option to vertically scroll in the app drawer and Google keyboard swype doesn't work so I switched back.

Working great on CM10.1 latest nightly.
Any real advantages to using this over the CM 4.2.2 camera? Considering some of the extra options with the CM camera versus a newer app.

IIRC this will have photosphere. Other than that not sure.
Could someone give me a quick process for getting this on my one x. I haven't done this in a while so I'm a little rusty.
Would the process be...
1. Move the current gallery.apk to a back-up location
2. Install the apk that's contained within the zip file
3. reboot
or
1. Back-up/delete the current gallery.apk
2. Reboot into TWRP/Recovery
3. Install the new gallery.apk from the zip file
4. Reboot into ROM
Any assistance would be extremely helpful. I have been running the latest PACMan ROM and I haven't had the need to do much flashing for a while so I am rusty on the process.

I was able to get the new camera to work on my one x.
One thing that I was curious about was the Photosphere functionality. I can confirm that if it didn't work for you with the 4.2.2 camera on the One X, it still doesn't work with this camera on certain One X models. I believe there are two different gyroscope manufacturers for our phone and Photosphere only works with one of them. Regardless of camera version, so far at least.
Other than that the camera seems to work fine so far. I haven't compared the quality, etc.
Edit screen FC's for me, but everything else seems to work. Thanx.

Scott (for the boot animation from cleanROM 7.0)
all the developers at the cm 10.1 Q&A forum (For helping me to understand what was wrong with my edits and my phone.)
And full credit to the cyanogenmod team
This ROM is based on Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 and is completely stable. the rom itself is just a repack of cyanogenmod with xsposed framework and an aosp toolbox.
I have removed most of the CM apps including the trebucket launcher (which I have replaced with nova launcher). If you want some of these apps let me know and I will try and put them back in.
do what you want with this ROM. there are not a lot of big edits so you can edit the way you want.
If ROM fails
check your HBOOT. (this ROM needs at least HBOOT 2.14)
check your recovery. this will work with TWRP and should work with CWM.
If none of these aply, post it on the thread and I will try my best to get back to you
If you have sugestions please let me know. I am mostly free on weekends and some week nights.

Hi
I am sorry but the ROM I guess can only be downloaded on a computer. tryed with my device and it didn't download corectly. so download it on your computer and then mount your sd card on your computer and move the file. then flash in recovery
I just need to ask, how safe is this to flash? I'm only asking because in a conversation I had with you a couple of days ago you didn't know some of the really basic things to do with Android.
Also, this is basically a zipdev right? You've just removed some apps and renamed the ROM? Are there any real changes or optimizations from the base?

Ok. You probably need to remove the Google apps that are built in though. There's a reason they're not included in any other aosp ROM, Google basically issued a Cease & Desist Order against CyanogenMod (sued them) because they're not licensed to distribute the apps. Whether this applies to smaller devs I'm not sure, but you'll notice that no aosp ROMs have Google apps built in, they're always a separate package. Just don't want to see you get in any trouble, better to be safe than sorry I think.

Zipdeving is altering a ROM by extracting the zip, adding/removing apps, and re-zipping it to be packaged as a new ROM, without any actual development done in the process.

Yo guys, back again this time with a carbon rom port. I don't have a Desire S so i'm gonna need yall to test if it boots.
I'm using devil-kin's kernel for cm10.2 and coderz's carbon rom for mytouch 4g.

Please tell me if it boots, thanks!
Good news.. it boots.
All the app icons, statusbar icons, everything is really really small, bit strange looking, cant take screenshot coz it says iv no sdcard and u need the sdcard to take pictures. The camera does work its just the sdcard problem, wifi n everything else seems to work fine. I had to restore nandroid coz im using my DS again for a while and need everything working.
So main issue - sdcard
After that id say its good to release

Thanks, those bugs should be very easy to fix. Hopefully saga owners will have a fully working carbon rom soon...
you should change build prop line "ro.sf.lcd_density=182" to ro.sf.lcd_density=240 thats unless u wanted everything to be tiny haha.
