Since I'm missing a thread about accessoires for our lovely Ace II, I decided to write here something about the gadgets I bought for mine yet:
Car Holder
OmniHolder Case Compatible In Car Solution
Awesome, exactly what I needed.
+ Very solid
+ Easy arrangeable through rotatable plate
+ Includes a self adhesive disc for textured surfaces
Case
Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 I8160 S-Curve TPU Case - Black
Good case, I feel safer since I got it.
+ Looks good
+ Fits perfect
+ Hardwarebuttons are good accessible
+ Doesn't interfere with the camera
Screen Protector
mumbi Displayschutzfolie Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 Schutzfolie AntiReflex antireflektierend
First screen protector which I got perfectly placed on the first try.
+ Fits perfect
+ No reflections
+ Feels "better"
- Display quality suffers a bit
Battery
Avanto POWER Akku für Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 GT-I8160 / GT-I8160P mit 3500 mAh Li-Ion inkl. Akkufachdeckel - ersetzt EB425161LU - schwarz
I were really excited about this although I already got acceptable battery life with the standard 1500mah battery (up to 50 hours without using it much (Internet connection active all the time) or about a day with extensive use). I was aware that the phone would be bigger but I didn't expect that I would end up with such a chunk. It were almost 3-times the original size and that's just ugly. At least it's still compatible with the car holder and lies well in the hand. Unfortunately I'm not able to test the battery life because im going to send it back tomorrow.
+ Battery life should be amazing
+ Included cover fits perfect
- Big size
- Hard to find a suitable case / other accessoires
- Simply ugly
Bluetooth-2-Aux-Receiver
B-Speech Rx2 Bluetooth Stereo-Empfänger
To be delivered
I would really appreciate if you guys could write some little reviews about the gadgets you bought

I have the same battery, although I only paid around 5 EUR from ebay. I love it. It makes the phone much nicer to hold, and I only have to charge the battery every 4-5 days! I highly recommend it.
Sooo finally found this old thread and Imma make it active again with some new batteries I found and need some feedback.
2450mAh/1700mAh
Those are 2 of the batteries that got my attention and I have 2 questions to ask, 1st ones had anyone bought any of those or generally bought any similar products from those people and 2nd...how much thicker those 2 are? I mean okay I don't think I will need another back case for the 1700edtion but will I need a larger one for the 2450 one?
Thanks in advance.

It doesn't fit exactly for the Ace2. Some space between case and telephon. Is there a better one or maybe have a buggy case?

i got myself a 1700 mah battery (got it with the phone, just discovered it not instantly ) but it feels like the standard 1500 mah battery holds longer :/ the 2450 looks interesting though

How should it be possible to attach or remove it if there is not even 1mm space between the case and the phone? In my opinion you can't get it better than that without paying some overpriced elite things

I have been using momax 2700mAh battery for about 6 months now. Still running great, my usage us from medium to heavy and I'll get quite easily 2 days uptime (usually I'll plug it to charger when it's down to 10-30%). Screentime is about 4-6h (depends how much I play etc).
Btw IIRC here I'd already a topic about momax batteries, you'll find more info from there.

It's looks like a good product but the problem (for me ) it's the combination with a protective case.
have u bought that?how is it?
Hey xeGox ,
This is the only reason why I didn't bought it.
Another solution is :
2*Anker Extended Battery Samsung Galaxy S i9000+Charger (1800mAh)
search on eBay (sorry, the forums rules prevent new users to give links).
There's already an existing thread for this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=944438
Yes I have got one too and it's way better than the stock battery. I just did my 3rd recharge/discharge and battery laster for 2days 10hrs with wifi/3G always ON, brightness on auto, display is always ON most of the time due to my facebook addiction and playing 3d table tennis. For me, getting this is all worth it.
For the additional thickness, I don't really mind it as I'm used with my Nokia N900, though that one is much thicker. Also with Momax, it gives me a better grip on my phone. I picked the white one because the black one is a fingerprint magnet..just a personal choice really.

Did you see the size of the phone afterwards? OMG. Huge!
That should come with suspenders to hold your pants up once you pocket it.
I'm going to keep my eyes on this, and order some suspenders or a utility belt to go with it
60 dollars seems steep. You could get an external anker battery with 12k mah for like 20 bucks and you wouldn't sacrifice size...these batteries seemed worth back then but with the cheap availability of power banks they seem irrelevant now.
I'll still keep an eye out though because it would be pretty sweet.

an UnNecessary expense!
Why would you need it on a higher technology device such as the Galaxy Note 4?.... I may want an external battery pack that's compatible with Qualcomm's Quick Charge 2.0 spec (Samsung's adaptive quick charge).
If I'm to spend $60.00 on a big heavy battery of a mediocre life warranty, I would rather my money spent on a battery I can use for other things such as to charge my Bluetooth Headphones
not to mention the case is an awful way to make an expensive $900 smartphone look as if you pulled it from a cereal box!
I'm using Battery Guru https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiam.snapdragon.app
and my Battery life is PHENOMENAL!!! SO I WOULD THINK TWICE ON THIS EXPENSE?.. as the previous post of above said would be a smarter choice to get an external battery.
I will have to keep and eye out for this. I had one for my note 2, note 3 and s4. Use then all when I go on trips and am away from a charging station. This looks nice. Will have to see how this stacks up with the other brands and see if they sell them for a deal.
I had a Zerolemon for my S4, battery life was phenomenal with it! But it made the phone so huge and heavy, my arm ached when I talked on the phone for more than 10 minutes. I can only imagine how big the Note 4 will be with such a battery... and it's scary!!

Wow, that's going to make the phone almost an inch thick.

Zerolemon won't listen to us, their facebook page is filled with people asking for a "slim version" that's like their Note 2 extended battery.

Everyone has their opinion. Some are surprisingly bold in their urging theirs on others.
Nobody really needs it. After all it already has a battery that works. It's simply a matter of preference.
Some would rather not have to bother with lugging around another external battery pack and it's charger and trying to find a way to leave it connected in their pocket or holster while they go about their busy day from place to place hoping they don't accidentally bend the connector over and possibly break the power port on their $900 smartphone that appears to have an insufficient battery life to carry it through the day even though it's "phenomenal".
Some of us don't concern ourselves about others' opinion as to it's looks, weight or bulk. Some of us only care about the device performing based on our particular needs / wants.
And some of us are VERY reluctant to run an app that demands such invasive permissions as
Identity - access to accounts
Location - Precise location (GPS and network-based)
Photos/Media/Files - modify or delete the contents of your USB storage
-test access to protected storage
in order to save battery life.
Why a battery saving app needs my serial #, google ad id#, precise location and ability to modify or delete the contents of my USB storage is concerning to me.
For those of us in that situation, no need to think twice about what fits our preference because the smarter choice for us is to go with what works best for us.
Some would advise that you'd be foolish to spend $900 on a phone when you could just as easily make calls and text from a dumb phone or that if you insist on a smart phone, it would be far more prudent and financially responsible to purchase a Note 2 or other smartphone on ebay or Craigslist for far less money. Yes, it's true, you could get something other than what you really want but you want what you want.
As for me, I love to hear about others ideas and findings, allowing me to make educated choices about either what I need or just simply want.
That's part of why I decided on the Anker 7800mah extended battery for my Galaxy S4 and the Zero Lemon universal rugged case that would accommodate any size extended battery. Yes, it was a brick but I didn't care 'cause I got the quality battery I wanted with a case that worked. I could also get a day and a half of moderate to heavy usage without having to plug in somewhere. I didn't have the inconvenience of either not having my phone with me as it lay somewhere else charging or carrying my external battery pack around to charge my phone, being very very cautious not to snag the cord and damage the power port on my expensive phone as I get my job done running service calls, up and down ladders, in and out of my van, with frequent need to talk to tech assistance for the product I was working on.
It also saved me the hassles mentioned above while on an overnight hikes where pack weight and unnecessary extra stuff is a consideration.
The best part though is it fit the bill for what I wanted. The "smarter choice" is subjective depending on your needs / wants. Even though for me the smarter choice is to keep my privacy rather than just hand it all over to app developers, and though I won't use it because of the invasive permissions, I appreciate you sharing about the Snapdragon app and your choices regarding charging. It allows me to see the pros and cons, and to learn about more of the multitude of things I am ignorant of to make an educated choice.

I bought the Zerolemon shockproof for my S4. It has served me well through many drops. That one looked a lot like an Otterbox to me. Only issue was the built in screen protector was very poor and sat above (not touching) the screen, so you had to press the protector down until it touched the screen to use the phone. I took it off (easy, just a little adhesive used to hold it in) and installed a Seidio tempered glass protector.
Hoping they offer the same case for universal fit with any extended battery. I'm looking forward to Anker's extended battery (in development). On the S4 they offered 7800mah vs. Zerolemon's 7500mah. I expect they may very well up the up the capacity vs. the Zerolemon again. Their warranty is 1 year and their customer service is outstanding.
Pros: it lasts very very long time, reduced shock holster
Cons: expensive, 1.5lbs heavy, huge appearance, wife hates it
Had a zerolemon on my note 3 and would NEVER buy another phone that didn't have a zerolemon extended battery and rugged case as an option! I HATE charging my phone every night because I hate the cord getting all tangled up with me while I am lying in bed trying to visit websites and watch netflix. I don't mind the extra weight or thickness because I prefer a heavier thicker phone so I know that I am actually holding something! It's all about choice and options people, you like a feather thin phone that's up to you but for me, give me a solid rugged case and a 10,000 mah battery and I am in seventh heaven!
I've been looking around at the extended batteries for the Note 4. Which one do you consider the best?
Right now I'm leaning towards the Hyperion 8000 mah version.
The ZeroLemon does seem to have more capacity, but it does seem to have issues involving the battery reading because of the TriCell design? Can anyone confirm this?
I suppose then that would be combined with the ZeroLemon case. Unless a mod is possible?
By mod, this is what I mean:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2530547
Anyone try something like this with a Note 4 Otterbox?
The reading issues are resolved with a custom kernel such as Emotion, which is patched to recognize the added capacity. I don't have the ZeroLemon or the Hyperion, but I do have this one and I quite like it. It is an off-brand, but I get exactly 3X my normal battery life with it, so it's legit and a good discount alternative to the ZL if you're trying to save a few bucks. I've tried to fit it into my otterbox but it's too bulky. Supposedly the official ZL cases will fit it though.
Zerolemon is pretty good. I don't really have any complains and I get anywhere between 10 to 19 hours of screen time on average with 12-15 being the average. The cover is very beefy and protective. The readings however can be inaccurate and when I sense this I just reboot the phone and it magically adds anywhere between 5-30%. There are some workarounds but they're a bit problematic. It's best to use a custom kernel that is especially tailored for zerolemon or extended batteries in general.
I switched to 5.1.1 on my 910C and flashed http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4/development/n910c-kernel-5-1-1-stock-tw-permissive-t3206548/ by shreqg2 and it's working well as far as battery accuracy goes. The downside is that it doesn't have the 5.1.1 stock kernel cpu governors and overclocking the stock kernel provides (it can go up to 2100Mhz on BIG and 1900 and 200 Mhz on LITTLE as opposed to 1900Mhz BIG and 1500Mhz (or was it 1300?) on the 5.0.1 kernel. I guess it's not really a big deal since I've been stuck with the lesser frequencies since 4.4.4. Hopefully someone can write a proper kernel with the recently released kernel source code but I'm not sure. Really though, a lot of kernels have extended battery considerations and I'm just testing.
Edit: added screenshots with the new kernel. Rebooting gave me about 5%. It's working very well so far but this is the first discharge since I flashed it. Looks promising. It runs very cool too.
I'm going to be getting the SM-910W8 as I live in Canada (decided to go with it after the disappointment of the Note 5 and because apparently, according to the carrier phone salesman I spoke with, the Note 5 has been having reception issues and they aren't sure if it's hardware or software).
Not sure yet if I will go with an AOSP or TW based ROM though. It's a decision I have yet to make. But so long as the ZeroLemon has the full capacity it should be good. I am tempted though to go with the Hyperion as it does seem to be a single unicell and I have an offer for a cheap Otterbox Defender (which should keep it thin and protected).
Any kernel recommendations for extended batteries and performance in general?
Happy with Anker's 6440mah battery I recently bought, % indicator is accurate and doubles my usage time.
The back cover is slippery compared to the original.
Hi, i take here my "long" experience with extended batteries for different phones. I used Anker and Zerolemon brands.
Since I started to use my Note 4 (last February) Zerolemon's customer care replaced me the battery (10000mAH) because the phone turned off suddenly after only few days of Zerolemon battery use.
The new battery has lasted working fine for about six months but since one month I still have problems even if they are not frequently like first time (now i'm still using the battery..).
I have noticed that when you press at the top of screen the phone turns it off or restarts and I think that is an issue that concerns the contacts of battery to phone. I applied a bit of tape to keep the battery as good as pressed into the slot to avoid contacts issues.
(Probably the battery is too heavy to warrant a good fitting...and maybe the 6400 Anker could be the best solution..)
However I noticed that even when I can ensure that the battery is fine fitted the phone turns off or restarts anyway. In these cases I think that is an internal issue this time.
I don't know if these issues concern only first stock of Zerolemon's battery and now Zerolemon has fixed the issues.
In my experience I remember that I've never had these inconveniences in my S3 phone with Anker extended battery and in my S4 with Zerolemon battery.
I'll follow this thread because I'm searching a best extended battery for my phone...
P.s.: I use Zerolemon case with clip/ holder
Sent from Note 4 device - Rome - Italy
Ive had hyperion extended batteries, zero lemon batteries, and others and I have to say Anker makes one of the best batteries for phones, period. Hyperion has some stylish cases for their extended batteries which I love but their batteries aren't one piece and more like 3 pieces attacked and covered with a sticker. I never had any problems with it but its not as good of quality as a zerolemon or an anker battery would be.
Anker extended batteries have a plastic back that holds the battery and is a much more premium battery. Also their customer support is superb. My Anker 7500mah battery went out on my GS3 once and I sent them an email and boom they give me a new case and battery free of charge.
Zerolemon batteries are also known for their quality but they don't try to hide the fact that they make brick sized batteries and that's a downfall in my opinion because a phone with an extended battery still needs to be managable and fairly easy to hold but Zerolemon's 10,000mah BRICK may hold tons of juice but isn't practical. But they still make amazing batteries.
There was a battery thats someone posted that fits our existing case. I am unable to find the link. I think the battery was 5400mha. Anyone what the wed site?

Well i know that lithium ion batteries are the 1/4 size of lead acid batteries but we already have li-ion batteries on our phones so im interested to see as how they crammed that much juice in there
I'm a bit skeptical between the Anker extended battery and Hyperion battery, they seem to be about the same size and shape, and the provided back covers look to be the same as well, but yet they have different rated capacities? I only have the Hyperion 8000 mAh so, I can't fairly comment on this but does anyone have both?

never knew Anker made extended note 4 batteries (thought they only made replacement batteries). As its not listed on their website.
Anyways, has anybody heard of Dr. Battery? http://www.drpowerglobal.com/drbattery/model/samsung/sm-n910c/css249r.aspx#rp
says it's a replacement battery, but the capacity says it's 3500 mAh. But on best buy canada, it says it's 3000 mAh.....
Also has anybody notice that MYDE and Anker has very very similar description.
Anker:
We wouldn't give you anything less than the best. Grade A cells chosen from among the top 10%. Rigorous inspection tests to ensure reliability. A built-in IC chip to prevent against short-circuiting. Complete NFC functionality. What does this all mean? In terms of quality, you won't find a better replacement. hey guys i have been using the zero lemon for some time now, i think its been a year now i believe. it started acting up on me after a year, it would reboot on its own, i know its the battery because i used the standard one and it works fine, (im on it now) so i was looking to see if there are any better batteries, i found one chinese base and said its 5600 mah so when i get it, i will update and let you guys know if its a good buy. they said its standard size and it uses a charge of 4.4 but we'll see. just felt like giving my two cents. how is that ebay battery going since you have been using it? whats the amount of time you are getting on it? my main thing is to have it not run out of battery for just ONE full day. I can care less for a battery that stands 3 days since I do go home and sleep sometime and I can charge it during that time.

It might not be the problem with the battery going bad — I had the same issues: constant reboots after a year usage…
However I noticed it would always reboot while handling the phone — I'd put it down on the table, throw it on the bed. Got me thinking it might be some looseness in the contact — the battery seems tightly stuck in — but anyway I tried and jammed a folded strip of paper in the bottom edge of the battery compartment, so that a piece is jammed under the ZeroLemon battery and a piece on its side.
Since then — zero reboots — the battery is rock solid — so I think after a while the battery gets microscopically loose — it being heavy and all — and that causes the reboots. My paper fix solved that and it's been perfect since!

Very bad there isn't a 25% bigger battery like s5.. A battery 4500 ma with 1-2 millimeters bigger size would be fantastic. I don't understand how so, no Chinese sells one.. Probably they dont want money..

I bought two of these, so far pretty good results.

What is your phone model number? can you tell us what is your screen on time (SOT) with this type of battery?
I had the opportunity to try out this case upon release in exchange for an honest review. I have not been instructed on whether it has to be a positive or negative review, so this is completely unbiased.
First of all, this is not my first product by ZeroLemon. I had a case from them on an old Galaxy S3 years ago (back when you could take off the back of the phone and slide the extended battery into the back). I loved that case, and I loved the idea of ZeroLemon extending my battery so that I could go 2 days on one charge and not worry about charging during long days away from a charger. So I was very excited to try out this new one for my Note9.
Initial impressions: it does, as you would expect, essentially double your battery life (which is already superb on this Note9). Surprisingly, it never seems to QUITE refill your battery completely, which is odd since the capacity of the case is 20% larger than the capacity of the phone battery. I do like that I can easily go 2 days on one charge, like I could back in the day with my S3. I do like that it has a battery indicator light on the case so you know if it is charged. If battery life is one of your most important features, than this is absolutely a no brainer. It's not a huge case (for an extended battery, that is) compared to some larger ones.
The negatives: the case is sort of bland in terms of design. I like that they offer a blue one to somewhat match the Ocean Blue color of the Note9. Additionally, you lost some functionality that may be important to some: wireless charging, NFC (mobile payments), water resistance (IP68 rating), and the ability to transfer files (only can charge through the case). Now for some people, depending on your usage, this is not a huge deal. For others, it would be detrimental to their phone usage. So it really is up to you! Do you want insane battery life? Or do you need those other features?
Other notes: the case is easy to get on and get off. I have no concerns about damaging the USB C port with this as some have said. The case is slippery, which could be good or bad depending on your preferences.
All-in-all, I think it's a 4-star case. Great for some! Not great for others.
why dont these phone case battery companies just use wireless charging on the cases? A button to turn off/on the charging when necessary.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but they upgraded the note 9 5k mah battery case

Now features pass through and data sync. No need to remove phone out of case.

Yeah, they emailed me and offered me 70% off it I'll review the new one, haha. I guess I should do it!
Mine arrived today...the updated version. I had originally purchased another brand on Amazon that didn't support data sync and it was a dealbreaker so I returned it right as ZL released their new version.
Case texture and fit are very good. I had 2 goals with this case....Android Auto compatibility with my Alpine head unit and DeX compatibility with the Samsung dock.
Looks like this case gets me 1 for 1. The case allows Android Auto mode to activate so I can use Waze and Spotify, etc when driving. This was most important.
DeX was a no-go unfortunately. This was less important as I have a Tab S4 with LTE I can take with me. Still disappointed it doesn't work...but nothing in the advertising ever claimed it would. Just FYI for anyone interested.
Small review....I like the case better than I thought I would. It's a keeper.
I like the looks of the case and with the fixes, I think it is a good buy!
On the website I just read about not fitting with full screen protectors. What kind of screen protection did you go with?

Not sure if you're asking me or OP, but I don't use screen protectors. Maybe someone else will chime in if they are using one.
