I have to ask but have you mounted the sdcard and checked on a PC if the file is there to verify? If you have/do and it's not there then as you have rebooted trying to recover files will be very hard to do and even then to get it back clean would be a mini miracle.

I had a similar issue. In case the SD card gets locked while getting a ROM to work, how will i access my backup? Is there no way to force mount the sd card partition using adb somehow?

After going through the NV flash process and getting to the last step that says
Keep holding them, as soon as you see "ANDROID" in Green with the new boot logo let go of the buttons.
From there it goes into boot recovery. I then choose from one of the roms I have on my SD card, it loads okay but then when I try to reboot it hangs up on the LG logo again
What am I doing wrong
we def need more info then that like what recovery how did u install the rom did u wipe data then cache then dalvik? then install rom and gapps? did u install any kernels previously? and this is probably going to get moved it should be in general

Damn. for one month on XDA you sure do have a lot of posts
On topic: I'm assuming you forgot to fully wipe before flashing the new rom.
If you can get into recovery, it's not bricked.
Read the install directions, you missed a step or got a bad download.. Or a bad build, as they are nightlys...
In recovery, do factory reset, then mounts and storage, select format system. Then install the rom.
Also, get the stock nandroid and put it on your card so you can drop to a known good setup.
I had back it up using rom manager but its on another computer. I took had gotten a SD card with more storage and never transferred it.

You could copy the backup from your computer and make a folder called clockworkmod/backup/ on your new SD and put the backup file in that folder. When you go into recovery, backup and restore. restore - it should be visible. Select it and you should be OK - IF your backup is good.
If not, download a ROM and Gapps with your computer and put them in the root of your SD. Then after a full wipe, flash them.
If you have the latest Recovery, you can mount storage and then cut and past to your device while connected. If not, or if you have any problems moving them, just take it out and do it while it is plugged in your computer.
You have several options - so one of them will work.
Want to thank all you guys. I got it working again.

I am using CM9 ROM, I don't remember which one because I was flashing it a while ago. Something strange happended to it today. When i try to run my phone it gets stuck at CM9 animation. Tried wipes and fixes from recovery but it didn't work. I would do factory reset but i don't want to lose my apps. They are on my sd card mounted as internal with flashed script. I don't know will I lose them? Help me please.

I don't think that there is any other method so just do a full wipe
and leave in peace AND YA PRESS THANKS
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Make a backup of your current corrupt rom.
Flash same rom again without wiping anything.. see if that works.
If not..you have nandroid backup img.. take out whatever important data you need.
I made backup, flashed rom and phone runs but there is another problem. When I restore apps from my backup they don't work. When viewed from system settings they look like: com.sketchbook 0,00 B and gray icon with sd card. The same happened to superuser app so I don't even have su rights. Do you have any solution for this or I just have to start with new rom?
Use terminal.. type su..
If your root access is broken you have root it again. There are numerous softwares.. use your pc to retrieve your data from nandroid img. Using titanium to backup app from nandroid backup doesnt work.
I just reinstalled superuser app and it's working. Anyway I think I will just flash a new rom.

I have a i747M GS3 and I wiped the internal storage. I am using twrp and made a backup. When trying to restore the backup, it does so successfully, but will not boot (goes straight to download mode). I tried using the adb sideload mode in twrp but that fails. Also tried mounting the sd card from the mount section of twrp but the phone does not come up on the computer. Essentially there are no files on the internal storage, besides a TWRP folder which I assume was auto-created when it tried to restore the backup. I have ROM files on my external card but when trying to flash those I get a "unable to open .zip" error. At this point I cannot do anything with the phone. Any help would be appreciated.
Using TWRP 2.6.0.0 and trying to flash an AOSP 4.2.2 ROM, and also tried a 4.1.2 TW ROM just to make sure.
Thanks.

That is exactly what I did. I got it back to a point where it is functioning but unfortunately the ROM backup (the one made with teamwin) just will not restore. I am trying to see if I can get the cwm backup I made restored. Otherwise I will just have to start from scratch with the ROM I had before (Illusion 2.1 beta - awesome btw). Thanks for the speedy reply

you should do it!
Hi,
So I used the Revolutionary method to s-off and root my phone - this was successful. I then made a full backup using Titanium and a few other things like SMS and contact backups, which are on my laptop now.
I then installed SVHD v1.7.4 using Clockworkmod v4.0.1.4. It ran fine, but try as I might I couldn't load my contacts and SMS back into it. So I tried to restore is back to the stock rom by going into Clockwork's Recovery, wiping cache, data and system.
When I tried to restore to a previous point, it gave me an error message saying system.img, data.img and so on not found, so all restore has been skipped. Now I'm stuck at the 3 splash screen. I can still get into the bootloader though, and can potentially install SVHD again as it's still on the SD card.
A quick search through the forums shows users with similar problems from 2012, but I'm afraid of buggering up my phone further so I'm hoping someone could be so kind as to walk me through what I need to do.

have you been changing recovery version lattely?
what i mean is: if you have, then try to revert back
to the version you used to create nandroid with,
and if you haven`t, then try to grab 4ext recovery-
possibly newest release you can put your hands on,
and try to restore nandroid from there...
...there is also a tool called:
< CWM2update.zip.creator > by @ss429842,
that may partly be a cure for your trouble- perhaps....

I don't think I've changed the recovery version, no. But I clearly did something very wrong. I couldn't access my SD card as it's internal and I was afraid I was stuck.
What I've done instead is find the SVHD zip file and installed that. Hopefully this will work and I can at least turn my phone on and proceed from there. It sucks being a noob!
Warning! Long and confusing!
Ok, awhile I go I notice I couldn't perform anymore nandroid backups, it always stopped while backing up /data and failed. Unfortunately, I deleted my latest backup to make room for new backup (which failed).... Also, when that started happening, I noticed everytime I did something in TWRP it would always say failed to stat E /data/data/com.android.chrome/blahblah In fact,it still does that.
So I continued using my oneplus as normally with stock 44s rom and today I decided I wanted to be able to do nandroid backups again. I decided to try mahdi rom and see how it went. Well after installing it and gabpps I rebooted and got com.android.phone has quit, and that message kept on popping up over and over again. Also it said my uid was inconsistent and I needed to wipe data partition (I had done this many times!). Well after messing around and re flashing and wiping over and over again I decided to try another rom, cyanhacker, and I got the same result. So I found a 44s stock rom and flashed it.
Ok, so I everything is working fine, I am setting up the phone until I goto play store and try to download titanium backup to restore all my data. Well.... I kept on getting error unable to install -24. So I googled the error and it said I had to clear /data/apps but when looking at it using stock file explorer there was nothing in there! So I can't install any apps as of this moment unless I never had it on my device before.
Recap: How do I:
1. Get my Oneplus One to install apps again
2. Fix the stat issue in twrp and be able to make nandroid backups
Without messing with internal storage.
So I think all of this is because my data partition is corrupt, so how do I fix this? I tried repairing in twrp and that did nothing. I don't want to clean install everything because I have photos and stuff on internal sd I don't want messed with. I did backup alot to a usb drive but still nervous about it.
Help!
Well I tried reformatting and that wiped my internal storage! Well i have apps backed up with titanium and my photos so that's safe.....
Well I can't even install a rom zip because it can't find partition anymore

With all the different flashes you mentioned, did you try manually flashing the factory/stock images using fastboot?

*Edit* also TWRP has a repair option for different partitions. You could try that.
I ended up downloading Zip file from cyanogen's site and flashing everything through Fastboot. That fixed all my problems I was having.
Sent from my Oneplus One using XDA Free mobile app.
I have the same problem again..... Anyway to fix it without repeating what I did? Could twrp fix it and I can flash rom over usb otg?
unable to stat...

Using TWRP, I tried fixing permissions, factory wipe, format data--none worked.
Then I wiped everything EXCEPT "System", and after that the error message was gone. Had to go through phone setup again however, I think, after which I simply restored a functioning nandroid from before the time that the "unable to stat..." error message first appeared. Bear in mind though that all my user files were gone, but fortunately I already had a backup of those from which to restore.
Not sure what caused the initial error--mine had something to do with googlequicksearchbox.
