Hi guys I post this treat to compare MOTOROLA RAZR HD VS SAMSUNG GALAXY SII.
I own both of them and with the official firmwares i think its better the korean one, here are my reasons.
MOTOROLA RAZR HD
Good battery (mAh 2500)
Nice design
Bad camera quality
Poor camera app, but fast
Screen colors are bad (maybe it is just me but black isn't black, and there are some spot darker)
Poor apps to begin with, there is no radio app, no notes app.
SmartAction is the only good app, but i wish it can do more, like activate this at call or deactivate afther call.
Really suck having a looked phone, but it is also understandable to do that if you root and bric it, ITS YOUR FAULT!
SAMSUNG GALAXY SII
Really light, i always forget where i placed it, and then find out it is in my poket.
Basic design
Good colors, I watched many movies and series with it and when it is a black screen, it looked almost like if it is off or locked.
Good starting apps
Good camera app, with many feature, like macro focussing or text photos etc
Camera is also 8MP but much better than Motorola one.
Even if I lost this phone now i regret to not having bought another Samsung.
Let me know what you think about it
and give me some ideas to fix my RAZR HD not rooted Jelly bean 4.1.1

I can't understand why people complain about camera. The camera of Razr HD is really good, provided you know how to use it. If you are looking for professional quality i would suggest you to buy a DSLR rather than expecting it from a phone. I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and when i see shots from both phones on my large screen, trust me, no one could tell the difference which is taken with which phone.
The AMOLED display of Razr HD is best.. two advantages of this are that it consume less battery and secondly the black is really black. Try adjusting screen brightness to see if it helps. If you are not so found of this display switch to IPS display phones like LG optimus G, but then you will complain about battery life. Trust me you can never get everything in one package.
You can download any app (Radio, Notes) you want from Play store .. Why complain that you don't have it pre loaded? Samsung does provide a few good apps but i have seen the crap they load along with some goodies.
So my whole point of this post was that you can't really compare two phones. Every phone has its pro's and con's. No phone is perfect. I can tell you 10 bad things about Galaxy S3.. but its irrelevent.
Solution : Try installing CM10 and see if it live upto your expectations.
Thank for your opinion, I'm gonna unlock it first then root
Aftherward I will install one custom rom
CM 10 isn't ready for this phone yet, and i dont think the official developer of it will improve
so I might try something else maybe try to cook by my own, and there is ubuntu coming
Razr hd is excelent choise, I turned off 4G and bloatware and batt last enought, and I say enought! camera is not like the one in xperia s but works "good" great screen and nfc, great greate quality in materials. multicolor notification led by the way.
RAZR HD
RAZR HD is the way to go with out a doubt.
I have owned Galaxy S, Galaxy S II and I can tell you - RAZR HD makes me truly happy! Even with LTE on, It lasts me on average 28-38 hours depending on how much music I listen to.
The screen is awesome, camera is nice as well. Again, this is not a DSLR - this is a mobile phone. Even on 4.0.4, it is nicely optimized. One of the best feature I found on the RAZR (yes I owned XT910 as well) is Smart Actions. You can set requirements for a profile to be launched (as well as actions to be executed - turn on/off wifi, send a text message and etc.).
Final thoughts, RAZR HD over any phone atm IMHO.
well, you guys sound really satisfied, i'm getting souspicious that i might purchased a bugged phone, I must check someone else razr hd before confirmation
Hi guys, does anyone have the demo video precharged on our tablet memory? When I bought It, it has this amazing video of nature with jellyfish, bright color and so on, that brings alive the bautifulness of the amoled plus... but I can't find it anywhere!!
Would you please upload it?
Thanks in advance!
when I see camera test of the cell phones its usually same picture of the flowers or sky or a building etc, closeup/zoom
to see the colors and focus and overall quality
one more test should be performed is microscope function with cozy magnifier or any other microscope app.( im not promoting cozy mag or any other apps, cozy mag is what I had on the phone when tested)
my dad asked me what I use to get these badass quality closeup images so I told him what to download
he tried it and said the quality sucks really bad its all digitized.
I didn't understand what he meant until I actually saw the phone myself.
on my galaxy s3 he said it has same camera as sony experia( same year release as GS3 I forgot the model)
my images were super clear and sharp while his images were blurry and pixelized like when you use digital zoom...
turns out the experia software is not as great at processing the image as Samsung was...
I tested it on few more phones at t mobile store and came to same conclusion that some phones are very bad at it and others even with inferior camera specs are better
not sure where would be best place to post it and if the reviewers even visit this forum or not but I hope to see this test performed when reviewing cell phones in the future
unfortunately I don't have any images to share since he lives across the US from me and I cant get to his cellphone easily
well since nobody jumped in heres my test from galaxy s3 and galaxy s5 closeup test. these are the best out of 10 attempts by each phone with default settings.
im pretty surprised
galaxy s5 no LED
galaxy s5 with LED
galaxy s3 no LED
galaxy s3 witn LED
Well dear friends, i was willing to buy a Note 5 because a lot of features, but one in specific that i like it is when recording a video in Note 5, then in the screen appears a little light bulb to control the brighteness during the video record.
So today i found a real good price deal in S6 and i bought it (over the internet). Then later i went to a Samsung store and played with S6 thinking about the same camera sensor and all, and i didn't saw that light bulb option while recording video, and i really don't like dark videos (i have a S5 and some of then is like crap).
So, did the S6 have this option in any way? Maybe with a different third part app or in a new update?
Indeed Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is one of the best Android device till date. But I am really shocked to see that Samsung has not paid attention to the material used for AMOLED display. The same pink tint issue was there in Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Randomly many people are reporting pink and green tint issue on Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge AMOLED display and it seems a hardware issue. Anyone of you facing the same problem? It should be covered under the warranty of Samsung.
If it's the same issue as in the video then you got the lemon. It is clearly defective.
I never have this problem.
