Did Samsung remove the missed call notification and the text message notification from the lock screen? I had it before the JB update and now it's gone.

Damn, there's no way to do this without rooting the device yet?? I've got a good handle on all that stuff and how to root, but I'm waiting on a way to do it via Mac OSX. So far that method I've seen to root is only with a PC. So I'm patiently waiting on someone to discover a way to root the i535 via OSX or a easy friendly app.

alright so, I recently flashed miui(latest available version) and there were a couple of questions I had
The first one is, how come torch doesn't work?
or is it just me?
Also, is there anyway to add or remove the toggles in the pull down notifications?
Thanks

#1 is answered in the issues of the miui thread in the dev section. Its a known bug being fixed.

Ah, gotcha thank you
Anyone know about my second question?
thanks

You generally get better help asking your questions in that particular ROM's thread. That's where the people using it are checking.
But Tesla LED from the Market will probably work for you and Widgetsoid also from the Market allows you to easily add toggles to the pull down shade. I do not use MIUI however and am just giving general advice.

I read a while back about a way to prevent the open padlock from the boot up screen. What I was wondering is if there is something I could freeze to prevent the initial check when I reboot? I already know how to remove it I just want to prevent it from returning when I play around.

I know this doesn't really answer your question, but from what i've read it does nothing in regards to the phone performance. Also the only two stock roms disable this once flashed correctly..other than that I am not sure, hopefully somone who is more helpful can come along .
On my lockscreen. I haven't seen this on any JB ROM I've ever ran. Can I get rid of it?

Umm.... How many ROMs have you ran and which? I think that's a stock TW icon, I have it on beans 6 with TW as my launcher.

It is part of the VZW modifications. You must have root to remove it.
Navigate to "/system/csc/" and rename "customer.xml" to "customer.bak".
Restart your phone. The Lock icon and "verizon wireless" text will be gone from your lockscreen, and you will also have the bubble notifications back.

Is there a way to manually disable the help dialog? I unchecked the option on my lockscreen settings but I'm still getting it. Anything I can freeze or an extension I can alter?
Edit: Freezing Help 1.0 with TiBU worked.

I believe it's help you freeze. It was a problem on one of the leaks

I'm running the latest official OTA (rooted - used VooDoo's OTA Root Keeper prior to updating). Stopped it by freezing Help 1.0 with TiBU.

I performed this trick, and the lock icons were removed. However, I also lost 4g when this was done. Is that normal? I restored customer.xml and got 4g back immediately...

FYI, not only did I lose 4g, but I also would not connect to that tower at all. I was stuck on 3g with 1-2 bars. Restoring it got me back to 4g with 4-5 bars.

Ok so verizon sent to new update and now I lost Fox-FI wifi.
My question is, can I go back to the last version?? I think it was Jelly bean right.?
Is there a way to do this or am I screwed until fox fi comes up with a fix. and/or have to root?
I would just like to go back to the last version versus rooting..
Thanks for the input.....

what? you receives OTA update for kit kat? your phone is xt926? You can post a print of about phone?
Nvm!!
He has the original Razr. Not an HD.
DO NOT ALLOW THE OTA! IT MAY LOCK YOUR BOOT OR UNROOT YOU FOREVER!
If any others get the same update choose download but choose not now & the ota will be in cache. Cut/move it with a root browser to your Ext SD. We want that file!
Please post a screen shot of your phone info page. There is easy screenshot free.
You are the 1st guinea...
Have you ever unlocked you boot?
Okay so here to screenshots of the new Kik Kat. You'll see on the settings there's a new icon saying Network Monitored.. So what should I do. I'm not rooted nor have I done that other big thing someone was talking about.
