brother and sister , i get asus slider rooted, but i dont know to get unroot . I want recieve official ice cream sandwich firmware soon
Hey everyone,
I'm in dire need of some help.
My father in law purchased a Nextbook 8 Premium SE (here in Canada) in October. He found it was a little limiting and wanted to be able to do a bit more with it, since the stock OEM wasn't all that great and Google Play wouldn't install so we were stuck using the default store that came with the OEM OS.
That being said, it's now 2 months later and he wants to go back to the old version. He's an older gentleman and finds that this is now too complex for him, he'd like to go back to the basic OEM version and use it primarily as an eReader. It came with Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 OEM and a few OEM applications installed.
I've been busting my arse to find a stock OEM ICS 4.0 rom somewhere on the site, I came across N8+ which is built on ICS 4.0.1, and it almost works great but doesn't autorotate and this is a deal breaker for him.
Would anyone have any thoughts or know where to get a clean Nextbook Premium 8 SE ROM (Ice cream 4.0) that I can use RK29 to put onto the tablet?
All,
I am mobile android/web developer and I just wanted to get a better insight on when and if Jelly Bean will be released on the Motorola Xyboard. I head rumors that it is staying on 4.0.4 but I wanted to see if you guys have some better sources :cyclops:. Thank you.

it is however unfortunately staying on Ice Cream Sandwich.
Xyboards getting Jelly Bean
Looks like the Verizon Droid Xyboard 8 & 10 is getting Jelly Bean 4.1. As of yesterday, according to the Motorola Software Upgrade Time-line website. fyi
Does anyone know where I can find the factory image for this device in order to flash it from fast boot... all links I have found have been broken or no longer existent

I am also hunting for a technique for rooting xyboard mz617 devices (I've got 10 of them I want to update to the latest they will support and they are stuck on Android 4.0.4).
Please update if you come across a good set of instructions / tools.
( also hunting on xoomforums.com )

So I bought my brother a Nabi yesterday and saw online that it was able to upgrade to get playstore, so stupidly I upgraded not knowing it was unavailable for the UK so I'm stuck on the 2.1 release keys and Ice cream sandwich.
I'm wondering is it safe enough to root 2.1 with GAPPS when you remove wings?
Is it the same procedure as 1.9? I've rooted the 2 other nabis I bought without any issue, so I'm wondering is it the same procedure or is there a greater risk of bricking it?
I've got a Verizon XYBoard MZ609 that is updated with JellyBean and I've searched relentlessly for a way to root this thing.
I see the older posts on how to do it with Honeycomb and Ice Cream Sandwich but nothing for JB.
I'm looking for advice from anyone that might have figured out a workaround to this.
Thanks in advance.
