I got my Droid RAZR HD Utility 1.10 in the Original Development section.
Also, don't post questions in Development. There is a Q&A section.

Thought I should have asked a development question here, sorry.
So the 4.0.4 option on the RAZR HD Utility will bring it back to unrooted stock acceptable for return to Verizon?

Stock unrooted 4.0.4.

As long as you wipe data during the process....but remember they will know you rooted it no matter what.

No, they won't. Root /= unlocked bootloader. If you install the stock rom, it'll be without any added software... no settings, no programs, no root.

Um no. They install root checkers on all new verizon/moto phones. Root does not mean unlocked boot loader. Once you root they will know. Check your stock recovery, it used to say 0/0.. it will now read 1/0
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

So....what do I do?

Double check me. Have you restored to 4.0.4 yet? If so enter stock recovery and see if you see the q1/0 or something similar.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

Restored to 4.0.4. When I do the three button press power on and choose recovery I simply get an android with an exclamation point and nothing else, no text or options. I have to force restart.

At the dead android screen press volume up + volume down simultaneously.. that will take you to stock recovery.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

Mine says "qe 1/1"

Yea.. pretty sure that shows you were rooted at one time.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

Now I pulled up recovery on my replacement and it says the same thing.
What the heck should I do?

Wait a sec.. have you rooted both at one time or another? If the replacement is new out of the box and says the same thing then you are fine... unless you rooted it too?
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

I rooted the new one. My replacement phone, which is now rooted, says the same thing as my ”4.0.4 restored" phone.
I ran the 4.0.4 option in the RAZR HD utility.

Then yea sorry I don't think there is anything you can do. As far as I know no one has been able to disable or change the 1/1 indicator.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2

What's Verizon going to do? Probably nothing.... I hope.

Why are you returning it? Defect? Hopefully they do nothing but they COULD say that since you rooted it you may have made other changes that damaged it and charge you for both phones.

Well I'm returning it because of horizontal lines on the display, which is definitely hardware.
Other than the display issue, the phone is 100% functional.

Actually probably only the radios are different, if this situation is any similar with the D3, it should work minus phone and data
a confirmation from the dev may be needed just to be sure the radios wont fry if flashed with wrong software
Get it working for the Maxx HD!
Radios are deff different and some other stuff

Thanks, hope to see more. I just upgraded from the thunderbolt which has all but vanished from the scene. Loving the battery life on this one...
Updated OP with new CM10 version.
Has anyone worked out the difference between the international xt925 (unlocked loader) and the XT926?

Tried to flash using TWRP then CWM and got errors both time. Anyone get this to work.

Yea, it works. What was your process?

Wipe data/reset.
Flash ROM
Then it errored.

I get "No MD5 file found"
Sy link: some symlink failed.
Unable to mount system.
Trying to flash 11.16 CM10
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Did you check the MD5 of the download before you began? Is your boot loader unlocked? Are you on stock ICS or JB leak? Did you use Voodoo OTA rootkeeper for any reason? All shots in the dark... worked OK for me on stock rooted 4.0.4.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
I'm unlocked.
On Jelly Bean leak
Yes I have Vodoo Root Keeper.
For some reason I thought I needed to be on Jelly Bean leak.
Could it be root keeper causing the problems?

Another question since I see your name in a lot of good info. I thought I saw somewhere about replacing that stupid unlock warning with the Motorola symbol again.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
Not sure about this but make a backup of your current state (you probably already have) then in Voodoo app delete the SU backup then try again. Also I'm not sure if it can be installed on JB leak (not saying don't do it, I'm saying I don't know.)
@dhacker29 or @Hashcode0f via twitter will be able to answer your questions if my suggestion doesnt work.
EDIT: just updated the OP with his download page... There seems to be a newer version out anyway, try them.
Thanks

Did this work for you? Did you remove Voodoo root keeper? I have trouble like you trying to install this rom

Battery life after root and unlock?

My battery life seems to be worse now that I unlocked and rooted. I also have CWM installed. Anyone else notice this?
I have cleared my battery stats twice, and gone through a few charge cycles....maybe I will unroot and see if that matters.....certainly don't want to remove CWM.
Anyone seeing anything similar?
Sent from my XT925 using xda app-developers app
After root, unlock and TWRP I see the same if not better battery life, of course removed things with TiBu.
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
I didn't see anything similar.

Where did you get your device unlocked? I haven't seen anywhere for the Razr Maxx HD.
You have to be on the XT925 (non verizon) or the HD Developer Edition on Verizon. None of the others can be unlocked.
Mine is the same.

So let me be clear. In this case, for this one forum. Unlock = unlocked boot loader? vs. SIM unlock?

Better battery life
I have nexus 4 with stock ROM and it's definitely better after rooting it.

Rooting jb with maxx hd preloaded with jb

Im getting my maxx hd in two days and noticed some ways to root on ics. If i get my maxx and its preloaded with jb can i still use matts utility to fastboot back to ics and get root then use rootkeeper?
Thanks!
Sent from my GT-N8013 using xda app-developers app
It will probably come pre-loaded with ICS but if for some reason it comes with JB then yes you can restore back to ICS and root. Enjoy
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using Tapatalk 2
I just got my good old RAZR Maxx HD after a repair and they already upgraded it to jb 4.1.1 (when I shipped, he had ICS). Is it possible to go back to ICS now? Anyone has done it? Thanks in advance.

Yes sir it is! Just Google matts utility and download that. Make sure to backup all your data before you restore your phone back to ICS. Enjoy!

Thanks man... but other people say it's impossible to downgrade to ICS once u had stock jb. How can I do it without bricking my spanking new Droid?

Other people don't know what they are talking about haha. I have been restored back to ICS multiple times. Use Matt's utility and I am sure you will not have any problems whatsoever.

How to root 4.1.2

My friend was able to get a rooted 4.1.2 rom on his xt926, but somehow, root access is now gone from the phone after installing some apps. The phone is currently on 9.16.6, is there any utility that is able to root this yet? I tried the Droid Razr hd utility 1.10, but it says it won't work with 9.16.6.
No root for it yet.

Is there a way to revert to ICS?
I'm in the same boat as you no root it sucks too. I guess we will have to wait for a root method when it releases

[Q] CWM flash back to stock?

I have searched but didn't see anything. I would like to flash back to stock with CWM. Thanks in advance for your help!
Use the droid utility to flash back to stock except for the recovery.
