[Q] hourly forecast widget? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Anyone know of a weather app with an HOURLY forecast widget? I've tried AIX weather, and the widget is ugly, and in graph form. I'd just like something that has the hour and what the weather is like during that hour, or chance of rain, something like that.
I want to see what the weather is at 10am 11am 12am 1pm 2 pm 3pm etc. Like I want to see the CURRENT DAY forecast in a widget. I DONT want to see monday tues wednes thursdsay.
Any help would be appreciated.

From what I've just played around with they don't have an HOURLY weather widget

You can set the update frequency to Hourly, Manual, 2 hours, etc.

I guess my initial post wasn't clear. I dont care how often a weather widget updates the current weather. I want to see what the weather is at 10am 11am 12am 1pm 2 pm 3pm etc. Like I want to see the CURRENT DAY forecast in a widget. I DONT want to see monday tues wednes thursdsay.

HTC weather widgest is not updating

it's pissing me off to know it's not updating when I have it on auto update. My temp went down 3 degress over the last hour and a half and the phone is still showing the old temp from that time. How do I fix this problem?
It's just a piece of **** and poorly coded. Never updates for me either.

Damn this sucks...The twitter app is a POS also since it doesn't auto update either.
well if no one post a fix for this by the time I wake up i'll just buy Beautiful Widgets. At least it looks close enough to HTC's widget and it actually works.
Twitter app doesn't auto update? Mine does. Widget doesn't really update until you go to it, but that's not much of a grievance. I mostly use it to update and not to look at updates, so that's fine.
Try Twidroid. I have PRO and personally, prefer the Peep widget to Twidroid widget, but it's still a great program.

yeah I also prefer peep over twinroid. I just want peep to update with out me clicking on it.
Oh by the way I bought the beautiful widget and it's way better then HTC's stock widget. Just kills it and it works.
Really? Well, I may have to check that out then. In the market?
in the market but I need to take my words back after screwing with it more. Where the **** does that app get it's temperature readings from? because the temp for the following days seem crazy and off compared to HTC's and my local news website.
Oh okay. Lol. Ah well.. the HTC widgets are fine for me anyway.
had to play with the zip codes a little and I got it correct so app is good. But would like to use the HTC app since that's what came with it. Also if you look hard enough you can tell the the apps clock looks a little different from HTC's clock.

alarm clock anyone? lol.
smartphones are like my crack! >.<
my gf sleeps with hers in her hand. She's a heavy sleeper so having the phone close to her helps her wake up... that or she's looking at p0rn at 4am.
Probably just porn.
I don't grab mine until the alarm goes off. Then i keep it in my hand while I snooze.
I admit waking up in the middle of the night and surfing a little.

I've developed this strange habit of polishing my phone on my shirt LOL. It's like a nervous tick, I don't even realize I'm doing it..
I read the RSS updates in the morning using FEEDR - one of the best android apps imo
First thing I'll do is turn off Gentle Alarm and Screen Filter, check the Amazon app for free app and then sync my Pulse news.

Amen brother!
Within the first few seconds of waking up my fiance picks up her blackberry and checks her notifications, and admittedly I do the same.
Yeah, me, too. First thing is to check the daily Amazon freebie, then check Gmail for stuff that arrived overnight, followed by the dictionary.com daily info. After all that, I'm generally awake enough to get out of bed.
Hitting de snooze or off on alarm with my nose de my morning podcast start playing n I to try to focus my eye on my phone so I can send command to reduce volume or delay it

Unknown High Data Usage

I have the 200mb data plan and with my previous phone (HD2 with Android) I never got over 150mb a month. With the sensation, I am 4 days into my billing cycle and am at 220mb. WTF?
Any way for me to find out what exactly is doing this? The only difference between this and my last phone is I setup HTC Hub. Could that be using that much data?
Checking my data usage online, there seems to be 5-6mb downloads every few hours, but I dont know what is cauing it.
Thanks in advance for any insight.
220mb over 4 days is 55mb per day (if my math serves me well), which is just under 2.5mb per hour.. I think a greedy HTC Hub can easily cause that.
try turning it off, see what happens while on wifi.. and how it compares to having htc hub turned on
Also check all the sync you use. If you have like gmail + another email + weather etc it will check the server for refreshments and take allot of your bandwidth.
Thanks guys. The I dont do email on my phone, so the only things i sync was facebook, twitter, and weather, which i did on my HD2. So hopefully HTC hub is the culprit. The removed the account and disabled it.
We'll see what happens...
Thanks again!
HTC Hub constantly syncs and is a waste of time - 99% sure it's the cause of your problem
Pretty sure its the hub...
However, I have weather set to sync every 3 hours... that couldnt be 5-6mb each snyc though, right?
Did you set your google account to back up your phone? If you are testing your internet speed test that can also be the culprit.
I have auto-sync on and I have yet to see 50mb in one week use.

Weather is probably a few 100k at most.
I dont sync google account nor am i doing speed tests... its gotta be htc hub, disabled and will monitor my usage tomorrow and see. Hopefully its that simple.
I know HTC up will kill your data plan if your worried about, try 3g watchdog or internet usage. Internet usuage breaks down your apps and how much they download and upload.

Welp, HTC Hub disabled for 1 day now and the problem remains. Check out my usage over the past few hours:
Date Time Megabytes
07/01/11 01:16 AM 5.0009
06/30/11 11:30 PM 5.0009
06/30/11 09:45 PM 5.0009
06/30/11 07:56 PM 5.0009
5MB one after another while I'm freaking sleeping!! Seems to be about ever 2 hours...
I'll try the app recommended and hopefully it will find the culprit.
I'll keep you posted! Thanks everyone!
I just installed "Network TrafficStats". Its just like "Bandwidth Monitor", but a little more features, graphs, etc.. They have a free version, but I got the paid one for $2. It should help pin pount the problem.
Results coming...

07/02/11 04:23 AM 5
07/02/11 02:27 AM 5
07/02/11 12:31 AM 5.0009
07/01/11 10:37 PM 5
07/01/11 09:02 PM 4.0947
07/01/11 07:06 PM 4.0195
According to "TrafficStats" the top 2 things since yesterday are "HTC Sync" with 14MB and "AppPack" (TMobile Logo) with 6MB.

Triple Digit Temperatures not displaying properly on the Weather themed Lock Screen

See the attached graphic. Since it's an animated lock screen, the screen capture utility captures it with some black lines. But the black lines are not actually on the lock screen and not a problem. The problem is that it is 101 degrees F here right now and my Sensation's Weather Lock Screen says it is 01 degrees .
yeah we found this out at the beginning of summer for those of us in Phoenix & parts of Texas. there's a thread around here for it. No one knew of a fix
I was searching for a similar thread before making this one, but I guess I did not search on the appropriate terms.
It seems to be something HTC or some custom ROM work would have to resolve.
I'm not complaining or anything. It was long ago, I can't fault you if you weren't able to find it. Just did a google search to find it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1130074

Well, you know it's happen before in your area and so it could happen again .
The highest temperature ever recorded was 107 °F (42 °C), set on July 30, 1965 as well as August 8 and 10, 1981. Temperatures of 100 °F (38 °C) have been recorded in each of the months from May through September.

You're kidding right? I'm from Baltimore. A few days in Maryland at 115 F is nothing compared to the overall heat in Arizona where you can't even successfully grow a lawn. You and I both know MD is not always that hot and you'd never want to trade places with AZ for a full year . At least MD gets a real winter .
Man...I've noticed this since the phone was released here in the states (mid june), and just about every day since. Check my local, lol...but yeah its a very annoying visual flaw.

Ill trade places any day of the week. I hate cold weather. Your right, its not always that hot but when it is that hot, its hotter than Arizona due to the high humidity and heat index. One of those days, the heat index was over 120. That's pretty insane if you ask me. I understand it doesn't stay at those temps on a consistent basis but it does get hotter every once in a while. This summer has been pretty hot so far and in my neighborhood everyone's lawn is brown. Its pretty much straw.

Well, I must say I moved South for many reasons and one was because I'd had enough of the snow up North . I did have some cousins who move from Baltimore to AZ, they never returned either . Yea, that humidity is a real problem in the MD area, being so near water and all.

There is no need to be so aggressive
In my country/language when we say 9 it usually means 9:00, sometimes 21:00, but more often than not that's 9:00.
Imho 9 (with 24h clock) should mean 9:00.
In English it is just different I guess.

I didn't mean to be aggressive I am just saying we don't say set alarm for twenty one hundred hours. Well you can if you want. But if you say set alarm for nine you still have to say am or pm, otherwise it will pick up the nearest 9o'clock either pm or am so if you're past am and you wanted to set for 9am, it will set alarm for 9pm as it is the nearest. You have to say set alarm for tomorrow at 9am, I was just saying what you said made no sense but now I understand you're English is from a different place.
