Volume questions - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I have a couple questions about the volume settings. When I bring up the volume settings, one of the choices is system volume. What exactly is the system volume? By adjusting that, does it act as the main adjustment for all the other volumes? And second, is there any way to bring up all the volumes at once when pressing the volume rocker? It would be nice to have instead of having to press the cog next to the ringer volume.

To bring up all the volumes, I use Volume Control Pro from the playstore.

Changing volume

Why does only the ringer volume change when I use the volume rocker on my home screen? I realize it specifically says "Ringer volume," but is there a way to have my notification volume relatively change as well? I could have sworn this was the case with my old G1.
For example, in the volume settings I have ringer volume set at 100% and notification volume set at 50%. It would be extremely convenient if I used the volume rocker to bring 'ringer' down to 50% and the notification volume would go down by half as well, bringing it to 25%. Similarly, if they were both at 100% in the settings, they'd both be at 50% after I used the rocker to bring 'ringer' down to 50%.
p.s - ever say a word so many times to yourself that it loses meaning?
I do too!!! Lol I want it to be the same

Features you would like to see on an android?

I personally wouldn't mind a little switch on the side of the phone preferably above the volume buttons that lets you switch from media volume, ringer volume, and brightness and use the volume buttons to adjust the one you have the switch one, that would make it very convenient and would be awesome!

Is there a option to only control media volume via the volume rocker?

I like my phone on vibrate all the time, and i know on my GS4, If I press the volume rocker it will adjust the volume level of either ring or media based on what your doing.
I want to make the volume rocker adjust only the media rather than the ringer volume.
I have found this feature to be in CM10, any chance its in vanilla 4.4?

[Q] Volume control

Hey all,
I am coming from an EVO 3D which had CyanogenMod 10 with JB 4.2. When I pressed either of the volume rockers, the volume bar would pop up with the option to change all 3 volume settings, ringer/media/alarm.
On my nexus 5, I had to set up a shortcut for Sound Settings in order to change all 3 volumes. Am I missing a shortcut or easier way to adjust all 3 volumes? When I currently press the volume rocker, it only lets me change the volume for the ringer (or media if I'm playing music/games).
Thanks!
In the Settings hit Sound and then Volumes.

Try actually reading the OP before you reply next time.
I really miss this option as well. I know some custom roms on my GS3 used to have an option make that sound bar expandable or always expanded.
troll
Actually, shaneledford understood exactly what I was asking. I was just asking to see if there was a way to enable this volume setting.
Too bad Google didn't catch on to this neat little shortcut.
This issue drives me up the wall. Anyone knows a way to quickly adjust volumes without digging through the settings I would greatly appreciated.

All Volume controls when pressing button

Is there a way to get all the volume control bars (Ring, Notification, Bluetooth, System, Chromecast....) when pressing the volume up/down button? I remember this was possible in the older phones. Volume up/down would control the current active sound but there was a button to see all the sounds.
You mean expanded volume panel? Stock? Rooted? Xposed?
