I had a go at porting roeddie rom (without success) here. I don't think anyone else has managed to do anything yet.
Anyone can help me nacesito one or 4.1 ics rom for Alcatel OT-983 please really need it!
Can someone please help me find The original firmware (stock rom) for Alcatel One Touch M'Pop (or OT-5020)?
I searched google dozens of times but in vain, can somebody please help me in that?

Hi I had a similar problem withan Orange Kivo = Alcatel ot 5020D (I suppose ) .
I have followed a Tuto from Taringa net and now I Have an Alcatel 5020A .... But it runs perfectly.
If you find it useful I wrote a little bit what is needed and how should be used.
Obviously I am not an expert and it is your decission to follow the way...

i successfully rooted my device with "VROOT" SO use it just google it

Alcatel has a PC utility do download updates. its called "One Touch Upgrade".
I used this about 3 times after rooting methods took a turn for the worse.
It re-flashes the firmware on the fly from Alcatel's servers.

I looked in the folders it's encrypted into many locations throughout the programs folder system. Its a little beyond me.

My phone is an Alcatel OT-scribe HD -8008d and I messed it up in SPFlash tools ... now I am unable to find a stock version for that. I installed another MT 6589 firmware (from lenovo) and now the screen is turning on, but the phone is not functioning and I don't know what should I do :crying:
1 - please if you can help me , tell me what to do or how can i find a stock firmware with preloader and custpack and etc...
2 - can i use another MT6589 firmware that supports my phone? or should it be only from Alcatel?

It's so sad that I can not find anything about this phone... I am like the only person who has this problem with alcatel onetouch scribe HD ... no where I can not find the stock firmware ... common it was a good phone.

The TCL-Y900 is the same phone. You can try their upgrade software if One-Touch does not work.

I even formated the Bootloader with SP Flash tools ... but it gives me this error your version of software is the latest , there is no greatest version available..".

would be interested in a backup of stock firmware (made with spflashtool) ?
note: i read somwhere that restoring preloader, even of its own firmware, is not recommended, high risk of hard brick.

Don't have too much hope...apparently this stock firmware doesn't exist any where
plausible solution
Hello guys, there is a possible solution to our current problem. we would need the pro_info and scatter file that contains the pro_info for our phones. otherwise, we wouldn't be able to flash it via OTU. problem is, this is not a common phone. many people are using other brands and I am not able to find anything for 8008x or 8008d. we may need to just send it to the manufacturer for software redownload.

Unfortunately, I cannot find any, not even any hint of one for that model. There is a discussion of it for its T-Mobile cousin (5020T), but since there is no custom product, I don't think that will be of any use to you.
