I installed TrickDroid 4.0.0 2 weeks ago on my S3, and now, somehow, i got hard brick.
Nothing is loading- not the 1st boot screen, not the HBOOT/recovery/fastboot- only flashing leds.
What can i do?
Thanks in advance.

If you installed it 2 weeks ago, does this mean that you were able to use the rom and got suddenly a brick?
Or right after flashing?

Yes, i was able to use the rom, and do not installed something.
connect phone 2 PC and c what it says.

nothing?
Hmmm sounds tricky...
If you didn't install anything then it sounds to me like a hardware issue.
Maybe your battery is drained and broken, so that nothing can start up?

Ya I'm going with the battery drain and you just need to charge it for a bit before trying to turn on again.

I was sending a text message tonight and out of no where the phone's screen turned off and went into a vibration loop. Took out the battery and put back in and as soon as I put in the battery the phone boots up and passes the samsung logo and goes into vibration loop, tried to enter clockwork recovery and it won't work! it gives like a mini CRT-off animation and reboots what do I do? Been running skyics for almost 2 months now no issues. cant enter download mode either wtf!
*edit* I guess I need to order a USB JIG? Not sure tho since I cant enter download mode or CWR.. once I enter download mode when it gives me the warning to "install custom OS" blah blah, and it just reboots itself and then boot loops with vibration.. not sure if my phone qualifies for a soft brick or hard brick.
Which sky ics?
Do you have a device support center near you? I had the same problem running a custom from and brought it there..they couldn't even flash it back to stock because it would boot loop so they just gave me a new one

One before the latest one, UDLD2 or w.e.. so is my phone hard bricked or soft? And I might try to get warranty work done.. I don't understand why this happened tho, doesn't make sense.. not like I dropped the phone a second before it happened

You didn't read the OP post properly. No I can not get into DL mode, it just restarts the phone when it tries to after giving the "custom OS warning"

Maybe you have debris bridging the battery contracts like that other one a while ago. There is a thread called something like, symptoms of a bricked phone.

I think it is the reason. I Have been seeing it on both the t989 and here. I think it's the same bug the note has. Wiping with the ics kernel is making bricks everywhere. It's just starting to happen and be documented on the rocket and 989. That's just my guess, taker it or leave it.

That's the same thing that's happening with the note. Some run fine for a long time, some get bricked almost immediately after. I'm not saying this is your case, but it might be. I'm avoiding the ics leak. I ran it fine for longer than a month, but I'm done with it now.

There's at least one sticky in the note forum about it, should be easy to spot. As far as the 989, I have seen a couple threads with similar problems like you. I'm not gonna hunt them down right now, I'm on my phone

After unlocking my bootloader and rooting my phone I did a back up. Then after that I attempted to install a custom rom jellybean and gapps. When I finished I hit the reboot tab and then the phone turned off and I waited for it to turn back on but it never did. No lights, screen stays black and not nothing when I try to hard reset with the power button and volume button process. When I connect my phone to the PC it says drivers did not install correctly so my pc wont recognize my phone anymore. And while phone is connected to my pc I tried a hard reset or fast boot and I do hear a double beep when holding the buttons. But that's all it does and till no lights or any sign of life other then the double beeps while connected. Can someone please help me out of this jam I gotten myself into. I really appreciate anyone's help thanks

Recently there have been reports of people with bricked devices (QHSUSB_DLOAD) when using the LagFix app from the Google Play store on the latest CM10.1 nightlies with the 3.4 kernel. Be careful, and be smart. If you have the app set to run every night, then disable it, unless you like to live dangerously.
This happened to me got it swapped though.
Bump for visibility.
Is this only related to CM10.1 or any other rom with the 3.4 kernel?
I wouldn't wanna risk it, I'd say play it safe if you're running the 3.4 kernel.

I agree, plus this is my 2nd HOX because the first one got bricked out of nowhere. Now that I think about it I was running CM10.1 and had LagFix to run automatically on certain days.....****. Well this was before I knew about the whole problem so this PSA is really important and should probably be pinned.
Randomly read this topic. I had lag fix installed when my hox bricked. Ugh.

Wow. How does the phone brick? You can't even get to the bootloader? This is quite serious, and extremely rare even. It's not common for a root app to hard brick a phone this way. I wonder what part of the app is making the brick, I'm afraid other apps or tweaks might trigger it, too. This should be identified and the developer should be notified...

QHSUSB_DLOAD (Qualcomm download mod) means no bootloader, no charging LED even.
If you could get into bootloader, it wouldn't be a brick, in almost all circumstances.
Just uninstalled, thanks for the heads up.

I'll be honest, I change roms so much i dont remember what rom i had it on. go from a form of cm 10.1 to some form of sense. My favorite is Team Nocturnal SE........
Looks like this should be a non-issue for users of CM10.2 because Google implemented fstrim to 4.3. http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...ld-fix-most-storage-related-device-slowdowns/

Ok, so for some reason I can't get hot reboot to work on any rom anymore. I've tried a couple sense roms, and an aosp rom. I'm currently back on viper 3.2.8.
Every time the shell restarts, it gets stuck at the boot animation. I'll attach a logcat with all the relevant info. BTW, this just started happening right after I ruu'd for 4.2 roms. Also I can flash another rom and get another logcat if it'll help. Not really an issue, just weird..
Any reply is appreciated, thanks.

Hi guys,
I've bought my Nexus 5 about 2 months ago and I'm pretty happy with it. So far. Since a few days it freezes randomly. Particularly when the screen is turned off. The effect usually occurs when I turn off the screen and turn it back on right away. Also, when I plug off the charger. Usually, I just have to wait 3 seconds and I can turn it back on. But sometimes I have to wait up to a few minutes until it works again. That usually doesn't happen to often, but I have the feeling it's getting more often.
Any ideas?
Btw: My phone is rooted, but no other modifications where made.
Cheers, Liquid

Could do that or use Greenify and a task manager to see what's running, and to auto kill everything but the essentials with Greenify. Task manager would only be for checking running processes. Grab rom toolbox, it has a task manager and an auto run manager. If I had to guess, it's something that has no business running all the time anyhow.
